"Asterisk Balm Universal" can be used in the treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases, headaches and dizziness, back and joint pain, mosquito bites, mosquitoes and other insects. "Asterisk Post-Traumatic Balm" is used for bruises and sprains to relieve swelling and pain as well as in acute and chronic vascular insufficiency lower extremities. The drug has an analgesic and antiseptic effect in inflammatory processes, has anti-inflammatory, penetrating and tonic properties, stimulates and normalizes peripheral circulation, has antipyretic and diaphoretic action. Contraindication to use is only individual intolerance to the components that make up the balm. The healing properties of the balm are due to the healing properties of the plants from which it is made.

Allspice

The clove tree is an evergreen plant of the myrtle family. The leaves are opposite leathery. Small, four-petalled flowers, white or Pink colour form an inflorescence brush. The fruit is a berry. Motherland clove tree are the Moluccas. Currently, the plant is cultivated in many tropical countries.

Clove oil, which is part of the Asterisk balm, is not obtained from garden or forest cloves, which are well known to everyone, but from the flowers, leaves and buds of the clove tree. The buds of this plant are similar in shape and color to small nails, which, apparently, served as the basis for the name of the tree.

Whole clove buds and their powder have been used as a spice since ancient Greece and ancient Rome. The aroma of clove, or cinammon, was considered among the nobility as one of the most noble and elegant incense.

In the Middle Ages, clove buds began to be used for medicinal purposes. medieval doctors attributed to this plant unusually strong healing properties: it was believed that clove preparations could save from death during a plague epidemic. Studies by modern scientists have confirmed that clove oil has a very powerful antiseptic action. Clove oil is obtained by steam distillation. Clove oil, which is used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and perfume industries, can be obtained either from the flowers and leaves of the clove tree or from the buds, but the properties of these varieties of the product are practically the same.

Medicinal properties of clove oil

Cinnamon improves digestion, stimulates appetite, reduces the formation of gases, alleviates pain in the stomach and intestines, and is also a strong hemostatic agent for internal bleeding, especially for gynecological diseases.

Peppermint

The medicinal properties of peppermint have been known since ancient times. The mention of it is found in the works of famous scientists of Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Pliny the Elder believed that the substances that make up this plant stimulate the activity of the brain, contribute to a longer preservation of vigor and mental activity.

Healing properties of wild rose

Eucalyptus trees are trees that in adulthood reach a height of 80-100 m. The leaves of these plants go through several stages in their development, changing their appearance accordingly. Eucalyptus leaves can be ovate, lanceolate, sickle-shaped or oblique. They are located in sequence. Small flowers are collected in inflorescences. The fruit is a box.

Although eucalyptus grows in waterlogged soils, malaria mosquitoes do not exist in areas where this plant is common.

Medicinal raw materials are eucalyptus leaves, which are harvested during the summer. The leaves collected in autumn are the richest in healing substances and essential oils. The composition of the leaves, in addition to the essential oil, includes tannins, bitterness and resins.

Eucalyptus preparations are used in the treatment of abscesses, cellulitis, infected wounds, pleurisy, mastitis, chronic osteomyelitis, open fractures, gynecological, colds and many other diseases.

Eucalyptus oil

From the leaves of various types of eucalyptus, an essential oil is obtained by water-steam distillation, which has an antiseptic, disinfectant, deodorizing, expectorant, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect.

Eucalyptus essential oil is used both externally and internally. It is used for diseases of the upper respiratory tract for inhalation.

Eucalyptus oil is used for neuralgia, rheumatism and lumbago. It is also used as a means of repelling various insects (mosquitoes, mosquitoes, ants, etc.).

Essential oils derived from various types of eucalyptus can have different composition and be used not only in pharmacology, but also in perfumery. There are also technical types of eucalyptus essential oils.

The main substance contained in essential oils used in pharmaceutical industry, is cineole. Essential oils used in perfumery include geraniol, citronellal and limonene. Menthol

Menthol is a colorless crystal with a peppermint odor and a bitter taste, which dissolves well in organic solvents, but rather slowly in water. Menthol crystals have a strong cooling effect on the skin. Menthol is obtained from the essential oil of peppermint or Japanese mint by freezing.

Menthol has a mild analgesic and disinfecting effect. Formic acid

In addition to the properties typical of carboxylic acids, such as the formation of salts and formates, it has a number of reducing properties inherent in aldehydes, for example, when heated with an ammonia solution of silver oxide, it forms a “silver mirror”. It is found in the caustic secretions of ants, from which it got its name, as well as in the secretions of bees and silkworm caterpillars. Formic acid is also part of some plants, for example, it is found in stinging nettle, spruce needles and many fruits. Formic acid is a colorless, slightly fuming liquid with a pungent odor.

In industry, formic acid is obtained from sodium salts, which are subjected to high pressure and temperature of 120-150 ° C, as a result of which sodium formate is formed, which is then decomposed with sulfuric acid.

Formic acid is part of the drugs that are used for diseases such as myositis, rheumatism, neuralgia and sciatica. Sometimes it can cause a side effect, which manifests itself in local irritation of the skin - redness, peeling and skin itching. Formic acid is used only externally, applied to the skin and carefully rubbed into the problem area. The drug can also be used for insect bites to relieve skin itching.

Depending on the cause of the development of the disease, traumatic, infectious and dystrophic arthritis, as well as those associated with other diseases, including rare forms of joint damage, are distinguished.

The following types of arthritis are infectious in nature: rheumatic fever, tuberculosis, syphilitic, dysentery, gonorrhea and others, as well as spondyloarthritis (Bekhterev's disease).

Dystrophic arthritis develops due to metabolic disorders. These include gouty arthritis, arthritis associated with hemophilia and some other diseases, deforming chronic osteoarthritis, age-related osteoarthritis and arthritis developing under the influence of changes endocrine system. Reluctantly, the doctors gathered at the order of the ruler. No one wanted to risk their lives, although the promised reward was huge. But the doctor's apprentice stepped forward and boldly announced that he was going to treat the sovereign. Indeed, several days passed and the ruler felt better.

The ruler kept his promise and married the young man his daughter, whose dowry was half of her father's possessions. And after many years, the son of a simple peasant from a mountain village himself became the ruler. The recipe for the balm with which he cured his future father-in-law was kept secret for a long time and was passed down by inheritance to the descendants of the doctor's apprentice, who became the sovereign.

The second story

A long time ago, in a small village on the banks of a fast mountain river, a son was born into a peasant family. At the hour when he was born, a dazzlingly bright blue star lit up in the sky, and an old vicious tiger suffocated in the forest with rage.

When the boy grew up, he announced to his parents that he wanted to leave his native land. At that time, the country was at war with the invaders. The young man dreamed of the time when the enemies would be driven away, but first he decided to learn the art of healing - after all, you need to be able not only to kill enemies, but also to heal your friends. He went to the city, where he became an assistant to the old doctor.

Now, when his parents looked at the sky in search of the star that had lit up over their house every evening for all these years, they saw that it was burning far from their native places in the direction where their son had gone.

After a while, the young man learned everything that the doctor could teach him. Then he left the city, gathered a detachment of the same fearless young people who hoped to expel the enemies from their country as soon as possible, and took refuge in the mountains, from where every now and then he carried out sorties against enemy detachments. However, there were many enemies, and the detachment of the brave young man was small, although his warriors were swift and merciless, so that the opponents feared them more than wandering spirits, and their leader was nicknamed "Avenger who comes in darkness."

However, a small detachment of fearless warriors cannot defeat all enemy troops. It is necessary that all the people rise up to fight at the same time. But how to raise everyone at the same time?

At this time, an epidemic of a certain disease broke out in the country, which was accompanied by fever, cough and runny nose. Although at first the disease did not seem dangerous, it often became more and more severe, and many people died, since there were very few doctors in the country who could help. Then the leader of a tiny detachment of daredevils remembered his knowledge of the art of medicine. He and his friends spent several nights collecting medicinal herbs, and then he made a medicine, which he laid out in many boxes, on which was the inscription: "Rub your forehead, temples and nose, and you will be healthy." His friends changed into medical clothes and dispersed throughout the country, handing each sick and healthy Vietnamese two boxes: white and red. The red one was with medicine, and on the white one was the inscription: "Open on the day of the autumn full moon at the hour of sunrise." Soon the epidemic stopped.

On the appointed day and hour, thousands of Vietnamese opened the mysterious white boxes. They contained identical notes: “When a blue star lights up in the sky, beat the enemies.”

At sunset, thousands and thousands of Vietnamese came out to fight the enemy. Now it was not a small detachment that was fighting, but the whole people. Soon the enemies were defeated, and the remnants of their troops fled the country.

The third story

A long time ago, a young man lived in a city. He was from a rich and noble family, there was plenty of everything in his house, but his health was poor. The young man's mother once called on fortune tellers, hoping that they would tell her where to look for a remedy to heal her son. The fortune-tellers conferred for a long time, burned incense to the spirits for a long time, and finally the eldest of them announced that an unprecedented fate awaited the young man - he would become the husband of a heavenly fairy. Such a prediction seemed to the old woman a mockery. “My son is sick all the time,” she said. - I hoped that I would find out a means to cure him, but, apparently, there is no will of heaven for that. Where can he marry a princess from the heavenly palace!

Once a young man was sitting in his room, plucking the strings of a zither, when suddenly the doors flung open of their own accord, and a girl of about sixteen easily entered the room. “My lady, the Princess of Heavenly Ivy, has sent me to you,” she said. - According to the records of fate, she ordered to convey, you are destined to become husband and wife with her. Tonight at sunset, be ready to meet the lady.” She said and disappeared as if she never existed.

All day the young man only thought about the princess. Decorated the house, ordered to cook the best dishes. Evening has come. And then suddenly weakness seized him, his head began to spin, so that his eyes flashed and his joints ache. He hears the doors open, the princess enters, and he not only goes to meet her, but it hurts to move. Suddenly he sees - a girl of unearthly beauty is approaching him. She bent over him and said: “I was afraid that the Spirit of the Gray Mountain would try to interfere with our connection. After all, it was he who brought this disease on you. ” So saying, she took out a tiny box of jasper, opened it, and a fragrance spread around the room. The princess scooped up a drop of golden balm from the box, touched the young man's forehead, and he felt his strength return to him.

For many years the young man lived with the princess of Heavenly Ivy. They had two sons. One day his wife said to him: “My father, Lord Jasper, demands my return home. It is bitter that I have to part with you, but my duty is to obey my father. I don’t know if we are destined to meet again, but know that my flesh will sooner melt than love for you. In parting, she gave her husband a jasper box and said that the herbs from which that wonderful balm is made grow near the Yellow Dragon Lake, and they should be collected on the full moon. “Our eldest son is destined to be a great healer, and our youngest son is destined to be a brave warrior,” she said. “Write down for them what I just told you. Years will pass, and their descendants will not remember the power of those herbs. After that, she said goodbye to her husband and children and disappeared.

The note, made by the hand of the spouse of the princess of Heavenly Ivy, was passed down in his family for a long time. Many centuries later, during the war, his descendants were forced to flee, and their house burned down. Many years later, a peasant worked his field and found a smoked stone tablet with an inscription. When he read it, he realized that it was a recipe for some kind of drug. It turned out that his field is located in the very place where the house of the husband of the heavenly fairy once stood. The peasant who found his recording made the remedy, exactly following the instructions, and tried the balm first on himself and his household, and then on his fellow villagers. Soon the whole neighborhood knew about the miraculous remedy. So the heavenly fairy balm became known to the people of Vietnam.
