Sweating disorder, especially increased sweating is observed on the soles of the feet and palms;

Sexual disorders which are characterized in women by vaginismus and anorgasmia, in men by erectile dysfunction and ejaculation;

Violation of thermoregulation, which is characterized by daily temperature changes, from normal to a slight increase (up to 37.5°C), and slight chills.

Symptoms of vegetative-vascular dystonia in children

The clinical picture of vegetative-vascular dystonia in a child is largely determined by the direction of autonomic disorders - the predominance of vagotonia or sympathicotonia. About 30 syndromes and more than 150 complaints accompanying the course of vegetative-vascular dystonia in children have been described.

Vegetovascular dystonia (VSD) is one of the health conditions that has several names and interpretations: neurocirculatory dystonia, cardioneurosis, autonomic dysfunction. In the light modern ideas VSD is not considered a disease, considering it a borderline state between pathology and health.

Moreover, all of the above terms for the name of this condition are used by doctors only in the Russian Federation and other post-Soviet countries. This pathology is not specified in the X International Classification of Diseases, and the term is not used in other countries.

The international classifier refers to this condition as “Somatoform dysfunction of the ANS” in the section “Mental disorders and behavioral disorders”. This means that VSD is of a psycho-emotional nature. Simply put, VSD (or, more correctly, somatoform imbalance) is a psychological problem.

Diagnosing VSD in children is not an easy task. It can be difficult due to the fact that there are no specific signs of this condition. The same symptoms manifest themselves in a number of diseases with which VSD must be differentiated. In addition, children are not always able to clearly express their complaints and feelings.

For example, darkening of the eyes, increased heart rate, and changes in blood pressure can occur due to physical activity, a sudden change in body position, or in a very emotional child. And low-grade fever, weakness and headaches can be caused by the presence of foci chronic infection(chronic tonsillitis, carious teeth, etc.).
