Cure vitiligo new in treatment. Are there effective drugs for vitiligo?

Vitiligo- this is a known skin disease for centuries, evidence of which is available in various documentary sources.

The causes of this disease have not yet been precisely established due to various external factors associated with its occurrence.

However, it is now considered autoimmune disease, in which the immune system attacks and kills the cells responsible for the production of melanin.

Psychological impact of vitiligo

Loss of melanin in certain areas of the body can lead to increased sensitivity and risk of sunburn.

But apart from intolerance sunlight, physical changes in appearance can cause serious psychological consequences for vitiligo patients.

This is due to the fact that, despite proven non-infectious nature of vitiligo, some people still tend to fear it, and even shame or ridicule those who have it.

Because of these stereotypes, vitiligo patients suffer numerous psychosocial problems and psychological consequences.

Various studies have shown that the emotional effects caused by vitiligo range from mild embarrassment to a complete loss of self-esteem due to the gradual change in appearance of people with the condition.

Vitiligo may increase risk of other autoimmune diseases

Observations show that people with vitiligo more likely development of various autoimmune diseases, including:

Alopecia areata is hair loss caused by an attack immune system to hair follicles. She might be on different areas body, but mainly on the scalp or on the face. The risk of this disease does not depend on race, age or gender - every person is at risk as much as anyone else in the population.

Autoimmune diseases thyroid gland. Thyroid responsible for the production of certain hormones that regulate important processes in organism. Having an autoimmune thyroid disease means that the immune system unknowingly attacks the thyroid glands, causing them to produce either too much or too little of these hormones.

Addison's disease is an autoimmune disease where the body is unable to produce enough hormones due to the destruction of the adrenal glands. two of important hormones produced by these glands are cortisol and aldosterone.

Diabetes. This disease occurs when the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin, or when the body's cells become resistant to insulin. There are two types diabetes: type 1 and type 2, with type 1 being an autoimmune disease. Type 1 occurs when the body cannot produce insulin because the immune system destroys the beta cells that produce it.

Vitiligo symptoms

Vitiligo usually starts with loss of skin color on parts of the body exposed to the sun.. Although the color of these parts changes radically, the structure and sensitivity of the skin are usually not affected.

However, there is hypersensitivity to sunlight due to the lack of melanin, which serves as protection from the sun.

If you have such a disease, you are strongly it is recommended to cover and protect the skin from sunburn. In addition to skin discoloration, other symptoms of vitiligo include:

Loss of hair, eyelash or eyebrow color. There is also premature graying of hair caused by vitiligo. 4 Due to loss of pigment in hair follicles people often develop white streaks on their eyebrows or eyelashes. Hair growing on the affected areas of the skin also loses its color over time, but not in all cases.

Discoloration of oral tissues. Melanin loss can also be seen in mucous membranes and oral tissues. White patches of vitiligo can also appear on the lips.

Eye color changes. Melanocytes in the eyes are also destroyed during the development of the disease. 30-40% of patients with vitiligo lose the retinal epithelial pigment, which is responsible for giving the eyes color.

eye inflammation. In some cases, vitiligo is accompanied by uveitis, or eye inflammation. Typically, this occurs in about 5 percent of people with vitiligo. Researchers explain that this inflammation is often caused by an immune system that attacks healthy cells eye.

Conventional treatment for vitiligo

In addition to cosmetic options, traditional medicine also offers numerous techniques that help reintroduce pigment into the skin. The most common treatments for vitiligo include the following:

Phototherapy. This treatment helps even out skin tone with UV-B light, which causes the skin to produce pigment.

This, however, does not stop the appearance of new white spots on the skin and does not guarantee that over time the treated areas will not discolor again. To possible side effects Applications of this method include hyperpigmentation of adjacent areas, severe sunburn and blisters.

Bleaching. This method is usually prescribed for patients with and widespread vitiligo. This procedure involves the removal of the remaining melanocytes to even out the skin color of a vitiligo patient by applying hydroquinone monobenzyl ether to the remaining pigmented areas of the skin.

But due to the removal of the remaining pigment, the patient will experience much more high sensitivity to the sunlight and he will need extra care until the end of life.

Operation. This is often- last resort for the treatment of patients with vitiligo when others conventional methods treatments don't help. Operations are done on people whose vitiligo has been stable for several years.

The most common surgical technique is subcutaneous or cell transplantation. To do this, healthy skin is transplanted into the white areas of vitiligo to reintroduce melanocytes into the discolored areas.

It should be noted that traditional methods Vitiligo treatments can lead to numerous side effects that can affect your lifestyle and skin health.

Most treatments with chemical substances ultimately lead to skin atrophy- gradual destruction of the treated areas. Therefore, one should first consider natural remedies eliminate the symptoms of this disease.

natural and holistic methods vitiligo treatment

Some of them natural methods include the following herbs:

Ginkgo biloba. It has anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and antioxidant properties. In addition, it helps to reduce oxidative stress, which is one of the factors influencing the development of vitiligo. Researchers have proven that consuming this herb has helped patients slow down the spread of vitiligo or even contain its progression.

Psoralea seeds. These seeds are one of the most used and well-known natural remedies for vitiligo due to their ability to mimic the effects of the sun on the skin. This stimulates melanocytes to produce more melanin when needed. They are often used with tamarind seeds, applied topically to the affected areas of the skin.

Basil leaves and lime juice. It is noted that a solution of these two components, applied topically, helps to produce melanin. To prepare it, mix basil leaf extract with lime juice and apply three times a day for about six months.

Ammie tooth. Kellin is a furanochromone obtained from ammi dentifrice, as noted, with constant use, helps to restore the pigmentation of the affected areas of vitiligo. The action of this component of the plant ammi dentina is comparable to the action of psoralen, a chemical used in UV-A phototherapy, but without increased risk skin cancer after treatment.

Before using these natural remedies for vitiligo, it is best to consult a doctor, for him to appoint correct dosage and application. It should also be noted that the use of these medicinal plants demonstrates varying degrees efficiency for each person.

Pregnant or breastfeeding patients with vitiligo are strongly advised to consult a doctor to learn about the possible most safe methods treatment of vitiligo.

How to Prevent Vitiligo

One of the most common misconceptions with respect to vitiligo is that this disease is contagious. This error arises from the notion that vitiligo is similar to leprosy or other communicable diseases. But the prevention of this disease is in no way diminished if you decide to keep your distance from vitiligo sufferers.

Some researchers have stated that because vitiligo patches are more likely to appear on sun-exposed skin, try to avoid prolonged and excessive exposure to sunlight, and apply measures to prevent sun damage, can help prevent vitiligo. Other recommendations for preventing vitiligo include the following:

Avoid skin damage. Vitiligo is also caused by skin abrasions, burns, and wounds where the pigment cells have been destroyed and have not been replaced. There have also been cases where damage to the skin caused the condition to worsen. Being careful and avoiding skin damage will help reduce the chances of melanocyte death.

Improve nutrition and diet. You should watch your diet, as this can also be an important factor in the development of vitiligo. Patients with vitiligo have multiple deficiencies in key vitamins and minerals, some of which important role in the production of melanin in the skin. These vitamins and minerals include vitamin E, B12, copper and zinc.

Stay away from chemical insecticides and pesticides. Chronic exposure to or use of chemicals used in traditional agriculture, is also identified as one of the possible triggers for vitiligo. The abundance of these chemicals in environment the patient has a direct effect on the immune system and can cause it to attack skin cells.

Preventing the Spread of Vitiligo: Prevention Tips to Remember

Avoid stressful situations . Stress, both emotional and physical, has been identified as one of the leading factors in accelerating the progression of this disease. This is often explained by the direct effect of stress on the immune system, which can trigger an autoimmune response. By avoiding events or occasions that can cause stress, you can minimize or slow down the spread of vitiligo patches.

Wear sun protection clothing. In addition to increasing sensitivity to sunlight and the risk of sunburn, intense sun exposure can also lead to the spread of vitiligo. Sun protection clothing or the use of natural sunscreens will help prevent depigmentation due to sunburn. Permanent sun damage can also increase your risk of skin cancer.

Limit your exposure to chlorinated water. Chlorine is a chemical that is commonly added to water in swimming pools and numerous water networks to prevent the spread of bacteria. But in addition to the negative health effects it causes, chronic exposure to this chemical can lead to skin damage and aggravate vitiligo. If you wish to swim, it is recommended that you do so in fresh water to avoid exposure to chlorine.

A drug widely used to treat joint inflammation could be a new treatment for a common skin disease called.

A study published in JAMA Dermatology examines in detail clinical case one patient whose advanced vitiligo was successfully treated in a clinical trial conducted at Yale Medical University.

"This is not a stroke of luck - we expected a successful cure for this patient based on contemporary ideas about vitiligo and the pharmacodynamics of this drug," said study lead author Dr. Brett King, assistant professor of dermatology at Yale University.

The drug tofacitinib (Jaquinus) is usually used to treat moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis- chronic inflammatory disease, striking synovial membranes. It belongs to a family of drugs called Janus kinase inhibitors and is approved by the FDA.

Previously, Dr. King discovered that tofacitinib could be used to treat hair loss caused by alopecia areata, an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks one's own hair follicles.

Vitiligo is also an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks cells healthy skin called melanocytes responsible for skin pigmentation. People with vitiligo develop patches on the skin, in which the skin and its appendages (hair) are completely devoid of pigment - that is, white. In severe cases, the disease can lead to severe cosmetic defects and serious psychological discomfort patient.

On this moment Several treatments for vitiligo are available, such as steroid creams and light therapy, however, none of these are guaranteed effective elimination symptoms of the disease.

This experimental study involved one patient, 53 years old, with large white spots located on the skin of the face, hands and body, which increased markedly over the past year. Before the start of the study, the patient received treatment with ointments and light therapy, but it could not even slow the progression of the disease.

Based on the success of tofacitinib in the treatment alopecia areata, Dr. King and study co-author Dr. Brittany Craiglow thought it could be effective in treating vitiligo as well. At the beginning of their study, the patient received 5 mg of the drug orally every other day, and three weeks later the dose was increased to 5 mg daily.

The researchers found that after two months of treatment, the patient began to experience partial repigmentation on his hands and face. After 5 months of therapy, the white spots on the face and hands, which bothered the patient the most, completely disappeared. Only a small number of white spots on other parts of the patient's body remained at the end of the study.

The dose used in the study is only half the dose recommended by the FDA for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. It is important to note that the patient did not experience any adverse reactions from taking tofacitinib.

"This is the first time effective therapy vitiligo in history, and it could revolutionize the treatment of this disfiguring disease. This could be a huge step forward in the treatment of vitiligo patients," says Dr. King.

Of course, the efficacy and safety of the drug in patients with vitiligo should be tested in clinical research with much big amount participants, and before their completion - the drug cannot be recommended for widespread use in vitiligo. Dr. King is now planning to conduct clinical trials using ruxolitinib, another drug in the Janus kinase inhibitor class, which is used to treat alopecia areata.

The authors write: "Alopecia areata and vitiligo have common genetic factors risk, and often occur in the same patient, or in the immediate family environment of the patient. We hypothesize that a drug that is effective in the treatment of alopecia areata may also be effective in the treatment of vitiligo."

The disease of Vitiligo is still very poorly understood. It belongs to the group of so-called immune leukodermas. If a person was diagnosed with this pathology, then this means that light spots appear on his body. This is especially noticeable in people with dark color skin, especially given that Vitiligo very often appears on the face.

Such changes are due to the fact that the patient's skin is no longer able to maintain natural pigmentation. In the human body, melanin is destroyed, due to which the dermis in some areas loses its normal color. This disease has been known since ancient Rus', but every year scientists continue to create the latest methods of dealing with it.

Extremely unusual disease Vitiligo affects not only the face, but also other parts of the body, their natural pigmentation, which automatically deprives the skin natural color

Description of the disease

Vitiligo like pathological process characterized by the destruction of melanocytes, the appearance of problems with the production of melanin. This leads to the appearance of white spots on the surface of the skin. Almost every area is affected. It can be either the face or the arms or legs. In a medical environment, this disease is often called leukoderma or leukoderma.

This is interesting. This name is associated with the Latin origin of the word. It can be translated as "white skin".

More than one percent of the world's population are thinking about how to cure Vitiligo. Many suffer from this disease, although it is not so obvious. The fact is that Vitiligo spots are much more noticeable in dark-skinned people, so others may simply not notice the pathological manifestations.

More than half of all cases of the development of the disease occur between the ages of ten and thirty. Vitiligo in children is extremely rare, and in very infancy it almost never occurs. In some forums, it is noted that people with brown eyes are more susceptible to pathology, but representatives of blue, gray and green face this somewhat less often.

Vitiligo itself is not dangerous and its “harm” is only white spots on the skin, but its appearance is almost always associated with problems. endocrine system and other bodies

Reasons for the development of the disease

In Vitiligo, the causes are still not fully understood. Scientists only speculate possible factors that could lead to such negative consequences. This pathology is not congenital, it develops over time. Some associate the moment of onset of the first symptoms with increased solar activity, which begins in spring and summer.

Among the potential factors that can cause the onset of Vitiligo, there are:

  • Autoimmune failures. Scientists have noticed that this disease often develops in people suffering from lupus, rheumatoid and thyroid pathologies. This allowed them to conclude that the described disease is associated with autoimmune processes. They are characterized by a change in the behavior of antibodies. Particles begin to perceive the entire body as a foreign substance and attack it.
  • Genetics. Science owes the discovery of this reason to R. Spitz, who worked at the University of Colorado. He discovered that the disease can be inherited. Sick parents have a serious risk of having a sick child. Moreover, it was R. Spitz who revealed the relationship between pathology and eye color.
  • Diseases of the endocrine system. Scientists believe that Vitiligo can develop against the background hormonal problems. If a person suffers from problems with various glands, such as the ovaries, adrenal glands and pituitary gland, then this can lead to the appearance of a disease. Such causes are called neuroendocrine.
  • Problems with skin trophism. Trophy is cellular nutrition that maintains the structural integrity and performance of various tissues. Most often, problems are associated with ordinary injuries, such as scars and burns. In those areas of the skin where there were previously damage, inflammation can begin over time, somewhat reminiscent of an autoimmune process. It actively attacks the cells responsible for the synthesis of melanin. Special influence here is the sunlight. The more it is, the faster the depigmentation of the skin will proceed.

The potential causes don't end there. Skin disorders are possible against the background of simpler, more common diseases. First, this includes liver disease. If bile stasis occurs, the parenchyma changes, then this can become a factor in the development of Vitiligo. Secondly, with some pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract, such as maldsorption syndrome and, the absorption of enzymes is impaired. Because of this, a number nutrients does not reach the skin, preventing melanin from being synthesized properly.

Finally, sometimes the disease develops under the influence of external factors, such as various chemicals. Their contact with the skin can lead to problems with pigmentation. This includes both low-quality cosmetics and chemicals like formaldehyde, phenol and reagents.

"Help, Vitiligo!" or why the disease can be dangerous

The photo of Vitiligo clearly shows that the disease is a skin lesion. This means that in fact it affects only the appearance, without particularly affecting general well-being or, for example, life expectancy. Many people live with this pathology. For example, everyone knows Michael Jackson's Vitiligo, which was partly the cause of his plastic surgeries.

There is also an opposite example - the model Chantel Winnie or Winnie Harlow. Peculiar skin defects did not interfere with her work at all. On the contrary, for the model it has become to some extent calling card. The same can be partially said about Jackson. However, it is not always necessary to treat the disease so calmly.

By itself, it is not dangerous. However, the development of such a pathology almost always indicates the presence of others, much more serious problems. For example, Vitiligo often requires treatment for:

  • psoriasis,
  • baldness,
  • Ichthyosis,
  • eczema,
  • thyroid pathology,
  • Lack of vitamins and microelements,
  • myopia,
  • intoxication,
  • viral infections,
  • Head injury.

This is only the physiological side of the issue. Not everyone is able to treat cosmetic defects as calmly as Shantel Winnie. For some, this becomes a serious cause for concern. constant excitement leads to pathology nervous system. Also, the patient may close from the world, become depressed and suffer from loneliness.

As soon as the manifestations of vitiligo were noticed, one should immediately undergo comprehensive examination of the whole organism, since in any case the appearance of vitiligo will be accompanied by more serious diseases that need to be treated only in a medical way

Symptoms of the disease

The key symptom of this disease is the appearance of clear milky spots on the skin. The area most susceptible to depigmentation is the face, especially the skin around the mouth, nose, ears and eyes. The next most commonly affected areas are the arms and legs. Spots often appear on back side, although they also occur on the tips of the fingers, knees, feet and elbows. Then comes the inguinal and perianal zone.

Note. Sometimes in men, white spots appear where a beard or mustache grows.

However, such key symptom may appear slightly differently. There are several types of the disease in terms of localization. First of all, this is a frontal type, when all the spots are in one particular area. Then segmental - here the lesions go along the length of the nerve plexuses. At slimy type manifestations are only on the mucous membranes.

The generalized form of Vitiligo stands out separately. It implies a strong spread of depigmentation, and therefore is divided into several types. Among them:

  • Vulgar. The spots are all over the body.
  • Acrofascial. Localization is shifted to the arms, legs and face.
  • Mixed. Combines several other types.
  • Universal. Spots are strongly distributed throughout the body, about 70-80% of the skin is changing.

In addition to the difference in localization, spots can look different. For example, sometimes they have three or four colors, surrounded by a clear outline. There are bluish variants, and the form of a raised shaft is also possible. The hair on these areas of the skin also becomes colorless, while no damage, such as cracks, is observed.

Vitiligo is divided into 4 types, with the difference being the “aggressiveness” of the spread of white patches throughout the body.

Stages of development and associated symptoms

Photo initial stage Vitiligo can show only one spot that has appeared on the skin. Most often it has round shape. Over time, the depigmentation zone will begin to increase, but no other changes will occur. At this stage, one speaks of the beginning of the stability stage.

It is followed by a stage of progress. Along with the increase in the primary spot, new lesions develop on the skin. Often they are in as soon as possible reach the size of the first zone of depigmentation, but usually growth occurs gradually. Finally, in a very rare cases progress is replaced by the stage of repigmentation. If a person has recovered from Vitiligo, then this may be due to just such a development of events.

Along with spots, a person may experience the following symptoms:

  • Other skin diseases
  • photosensitivity,
  • Chronic pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract,
  • sweating problems,
  • Baldness rounded.

Cured Vitiligo largely depends on correct diagnosis. It is not enough just to buy a cream if the forum reviews about it positively answer the question of whether it is possible to get rid of such a disease. An important role in the fight is played by determining the type of pathology and the stage of its development.

Vitiligo has a number of symptoms that help to quickly identify it, which will allow you to start treatment just as quickly.

New Treatment for Vitiligo 2016-2017

Treatment of Vitiligo with folk remedies is practically not used. Even the most serious medications do not always have the desired effect. Exposure to Vitiligo at home is allowed as additional measure after medical consultation.

There are a number of new methods that are not yet widely used, but are available at least in Moscow. How to treat the disease:

  • ultraviolet irradiation,
  • surgical intervention,
  • epidermis whitening,
  • Photochemotherapy.

On early stages Vitiligo laser may be effective solution. If the spots appeared just a few days ago, then in this way it will be possible to get rid of them. It is believed that there are also effective creams, ointments and oils from Vitiligo at home. For example, St. John's wort or black cumin oil is used, and Sulsena is often preferred from ointments. For the sake of such treatment, you do not have to go to Moscow or another large city.

Although there is no specific cure for Vitiligo, some people treat blemishes with Tofacitnib, a drug designed to combat rheumatoid arthritis. In general, people usually need complex impact. This is especially true for Vitiligo in children. Babies need to restore metabolism and carry out symptomatic therapy.

Folk remedies they are powerless against Vitiligo, so torturing your skin and body just for the sake of not taking “chemistry” is not the best thing. The best decision

Unfortunately, there are still many little-studied diseases in the world. But medicine does not stand still, and for such a disease as vitiligo, scientists have found a method that allows them to successfully deal with it. What are the factors in the development of vitiligo and what is it new method Yulia Vitalievna Lanko, a dermatologist, told.

About the essence and causes

– Vitiligo is a poorly understood disease that was very difficult to treat until recently. However, attempts to understand it did not stop. There are still more hypotheses than proven facts. And yet, based on my own clinical experience and observations, I agree with those scientists who believe that the infectious factor plays a key role in the development of vitiligo. Analyzing data on the incidence of vitiligo over several years, I noticed that there is a certain cyclicity, which can indirectly confirm infectious nature diseases.

What kind of infection leads to the onset of vitiligo is still a moot point. My observations showed that all patients who came to me about vitiligo had cytomegalovirus. Turning to global sources medical literature, found that she was far from being an innovator in her idea. It turned out that in the 80s. In the twentieth century, European scientists tried to prove the involvement of cytomegalovirus in this disease. Unfortunately, in view of disabilities laboratory diagnostics failed to dial at the time enough reliable data, and this question hung in the air. In favor of my assumption is also the fact that I personally observed infants with intrauterine cytomegalovirus infection manifested clinically as cytomegalovirus hepatitis and vitiligo.

What kind of infection leads to the onset of vitiligo is still a moot point. My observations showed that all patients who came to me about vitiligo had cytomegalovirus.

The last year is a breakthrough in the treatment of such complex process! appeared in the world effective technique, which guarantees the restoration of the pigment, according to the authors, irrevocably, that is, completely and forever.

Pathogenesis

Of course, the dominant role in the development of this disease belongs to the immune system. The latest scientific research has revealed that this is immune inflammation when certain immune cells cause damage in the lesions that lead to the destruction of melanin - the very pigment that gives color to the skin. This is how white spots are formed - areas of “diseased” skin without melanin.

About treatment

Vitiligo has always been treated. How successful is the question. Previously, only about a third of patients who applied for medical care managed to achieve at least some results. And even then only with a fresh process. The question was not “how to restore the pigment in the foci”, but “how to keep the process at least without further spread”. What kind of means were not used: external preparations, complexes of vitamins and minerals, physiotherapeutic methods with various irradiation of foci. They treated both with the help of the sun (even sent to Cuba), and without the sun, protecting the skin unprotected by pigment from solar radiation photoprotectors. But Last year– a breakthrough in the treatment of such a complex process! An effective technique has appeared in the world that guarantees the restoration of the pigment, according to the authors, irrevocably, that is, completely and forever. I know that this method is successfully used in Poland and France. Ideally positive results treatment in patients receiving course therapy for this method in one of the clinics in St. Petersburg. Unfortunately, the equipment for treatment is very expensive, which does not yet allow a new method to be made publicly available in every medical clinic. But I'm glad it's new. effective method there is already a cure for vitiligo! So, it will appear with us.

On the importance of timely treatment

Do not self-medicate! Be sure to use sunscreen for outdoor use with high factor protection (SPF 50+), especially on vitiligo lesions, but also on all skin integuments. Vitiligo patches, devoid of melanin pigment, which protects against insolation, are prone to sunburn which is very harmful and can be dangerous.

Contact your dermatologist promptly! Remember that the further the process has gone, the more difficult it is to return to normal state skin. Timely detected pathology and correctly prescribed treatment of "background" diseases allow you to reverse the pathological process, make vitiligo recede and restore the skin to its former beauty and health.

Health to you and prosperity!

The cure for vitiligo is various drugs that help get rid of pigmentation problems individual sections skin. Due to the disease, whitish spots form on the body, prone to fusion. The disease does not pose a specific threat to a person. To a greater extent, this is a cosmetic problem associated with aesthetic unsightliness.

Vitiligo - a rare event that affects the human skin. It can appear at any age, but the first signs become noticeable in adolescence. The person does not complain accompanying symptoms. Only the abnormal color of the spots brings inconvenience, which is quite contrasting compared to the color of the skin.

If the spot of vitiligo is located on the scalp, the hair in this area also becomes discolored. People with severe lesions may experience premature graying.

So far, no single . Nevertheless, there is a connection between the disease and the influence of certain factors:

  1. Immune system malfunctions. At the same time, the immunity of a sick person cannot distinguish foreign cells from their own, and destroys the body.
  2. genetic predisposition. Researcher Spitz, studying this anomaly, established a hereditary relationship. When assessing the disease, the scientist received figures of 15 - 40% of the likelihood of spots on the human body, if similar ones were found in relatives.
  3. endocrine disorders. Malfunctions of the adrenal glands, pancreas, ovaries and pituitary gland, which are responsible for the production of hormones, can lead to the appearance of white skin fragments.
  4. external stimuli. If the human skin long time been exposed to sunlight, tissues may be damaged, resulting in injury or burns. The same thing happens when exposed to various chemicals.
  5. Metabolism disorder. Diseases gastrointestinal tract can affect changes in the cells of the integument. This happens if, as a result of failures, the body does not receive essential trace elements to form melanin.

Contribute to the development of vitiligo can be external and internal factors. The task of doctors and the patient is to understand the root cause in order to prevent the development of a possible pathological process.

Overview of effective pharmaceutical preparations

Modern pharmacology presents wide range medicines to cure the disease. To pick up effective drugs for the treatment of vitiligo, it is advisable to familiarize yourself with the characteristics of each.

Drugs used for vitiligo, despite the safety of the disease, pose a threat to certain groups of people. The attending physician is engaged in the selection and prescription of drugs, taking into account all the characteristics of a particular patient.

Folk methods

Traditional medicine offers its own methods of getting rid of light spots on skin body.

Recipe #1

Grind a small amount of St. John's wort. Place 2 tablespoons of herbs in a saucepan, pour boiling water over it. Cook until half of the liquid has evaporated from the bowl. Then cool and strain the resulting broth. The medicine is applied to the affected areas.

Recipe number 2

Pour young walnut leaves with alcohol (ratio 1 to 10). Let it brew for several days. Wipe white spots with the resulting tincture 2 times a day. The course of treatment is a month. This procedure will partially or completely cure the skin.

Recipe number 3

Use red clay, which is mined from the bottom of the river or purchased at a pharmacy. The product is mixed proportionally with ginger juice. The resulting mixture is applied to gauze and applied to the affected area. Ginger juice improves blood circulation. In combination with the use of such an ointment, it is recommended to drink a liquid that was infused in a copper bowl.

Recipe number 4

5 - 10 grams of radish seeds are crushed. The resulting powder is poured with 9% vinegar. The resulting ointment is applied to white patches of skin.

Recipe number 5

Anise fruits (100 - 150 grams) must be carefully crushed, then pour 0.5 liter olive oil. Apply the medicine several times a day on white areas of the skin. Over time, the affected areas darken and stand out less on the body.

Recipe number 7

It is necessary to take a small amount of marsh duckweed, rinse, dry and grind it. The resulting product should be mixed equally with honey. The medicine should be taken daily, twice a day, 1 hour after a meal. From the remaining plant, you can squeeze the juice, and wipe the affected areas with it 5-6 times a day.

Innovative Treatments

Exist modern methods treatment, which are based on the intake of certain drugs and procedures.

Sanum kutis - new medicine, which received a lot positive feedback at consumers. In its composition are natural ingredients, which have a photosensitizing effect ( in simple terms, increase sensitivity to ultraviolet light). Contraindication - special sensitivity to the components. Also this drug applied in systemic therapy lupus and psoriasis.

Vitiligo is not dangerous, but unpleasant phenomenon. The question of the treatment of the disease for each patient is extremely acute. Do not self-treat the disease with untested drugs. Better get on with it medical recommendation. doctor, based diagnostic study assess the degree of the disease, and select the topical drug.
