The secret effect of gonadotropin on the male body. Chorionic gonadotropin: instructions, description

Healthy body in men it can heal itself and rid itself of various problems. Its regeneration and Eternal youth the male body depends on full-fledged work germ cells in the testicles and testosterone production. You can regain your health, get rid of pain, and get a lot of energy by using human chorionic gonadotropin for men. Reviews from people who have experienced its effects help you find positive attitude before starting treatment.

Which drug should I choose to start therapy?

Chorionic gonadotropin is a special hormone of the placenta. It simultaneously includes the properties of luteinizing hormone, synthesized in the pituitary gland. The active ingredient of the drug is choreogonadotropin. It is included in the composition of medicines produced under different names in Great Britain, France, Germany:

  1. "Gonakor".
  2. "Rotten."
  3. "Ecostimulin".

All of the above drugs are capable of:

  • increase the production of sex steroids;
  • regulate spermatogenesis;
  • develop secondary sexual characteristics.

The drug is used in men with altered functions of the gonads with the development of disorders in the hypothalamic-pituitary system. In boys, human chorionic gonadotropin is prescribed for late puberty, cryptorchidism, etc. Men use the drug when the formation of sperm in the germ cells is impaired.

The active ingredient, human chorionic gonadotropin, is available in the form of solutions or dry powder, in ampoules or vials. The therapeutic dose of the drug is determined biologically by studying abnormalities in the sperm analysis of a sick man.

For what pathology in men is gonadotropin used?

The doctor prescribes the drug for pathology of the genital organs detected in the male body during examination. The use of gonadotropin for treatment brings rapid and good results. Chorionic gonadotropin is prescribed for a course of therapy and, if necessary, supplemented with other drugs that have a general strengthening effect, vitamins, etc.

Men often complain about lack of hair growth male type on the face and body. Their testosterone levels are low, several times less than normal. The drug, prescribed by a specialist, corrects the production of testosterone, affecting the reproductive cells.

Gonadotropin after a course of treatment in men causes headache attacks that last up to 30-60 minutes and occur repeatedly during the day.

Athletes' interest in gonadotropin

Athletes use gonadotropin to participate in many types of sports. Some of them do not note the normalizing effect of gonadotropin on the state of their body, but at the same time pay great attention the issue of increasing muscle mass.

Many athletes adjust their training and nutrition regimen while taking the drug. IN end result they have it going on moderate growth muscles of the whole body. Athletes take gonadotropin to restore the shape of the testicles and their original size.

Injectable forms of gonadotropin do not adversely affect men's health and have a positive effect on the development of secondary sexual characteristics. In men, there is a high amount of testosterone formed as a result of the use of gonadotropin, and a maximum concentration of anabolic steroids in the blood.

In many men, as a result of intense sports activities combined with simultaneous administration anabolic steroids, there is a decrease sexual desire. Experienced athletes familiar with similar problem and take appropriate measures in advance to resolve the psychological difficulties that arise. They use gonadotropin regularly, at regular intervals. As a result of the course of treatment, spermatogenesis and libido are completely restored.

The male body needs strictly a certain technique medications coinciding with the end of taking steroid hormones. Gonadotropin in short time increases the amount of testosterone, but is not able to completely inhibit the loss of muscle mass and strength when steroid treatment is completed. As a result of this process, athletes experience mental instability. To relieve painful symptoms, they use gonadotropin, prescribed by a doctor during the period of complete cessation of hormone intake.

After consuming gonadotropin, the male body completely restores the amount of testosterone in the testicles.

However, it does not have a significant effect on the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, and testosterone reduces the production of luteinizing hormone. After completing the course of treatment with gonadotropin, athletes must undergo a recovery period. They can correct spermatogenesis disorders associated with long-term therapy steroid hormones . Men involved in bodybuilding celebrate gonadotropin on muscle hardness, volume of subcutaneous fat.

In some men, the amount of subcutaneous fat does not decrease after using the drug, and appetite or fat distribution does not change.

An important quality of gonadotropin is that the medicine has a biphasic effect.

The main stages of the action of gonadotropin on the human body

After taking the drug in any dosage, a two-phase increase in the amount of testosterone in a man’s body is observed. The level of elevation depends on the dose of medication used. The main purpose of gonadotropin administration after steroid use is to maintain muscle mass levels.

In men, gonadotropin, when used in doses prescribed by a doctor, does not cause dependence on the drug. Some patients develop antibodies in their bodies that affect the effectiveness of the medicine. The course of treatment is established by the attending physician and is strictly individual for each patient. Positive results appear over a long period of time, due to the fact that gonadotropin promotes the rapid division of germ cells and affects their number.

In some cases, in men who have used the drug for a long time, the testicles suspend their function, reducing the production of luteinizing hormone. As a result of treatment, hypofunction of the gonads occurs.

In athletes who have used the hormone for a long time, the body stops producing gonadotropins for a long time. In some cases, gonadotropic receptors are completely destroyed in a man’s testicles and the testicles become resistant to the hormone.

Side effects associated with the administration of human chorionic gonadotropin

The use of the drug causes side effects similar to those after the use of testosterone. The level of estrogen in the male body increases depending on the amount of testosterone and causes the growth of mammary glands in the stronger sex. Most Frequent side effects after administration of the drug, they may appear at any stage of its use and manifest themselves as:

  • increased libido;
  • presence of acne;
  • delay mineral salts and water in the body.

Violation of water and mineral balance leads to the appearance of edematous muscles of the body. In men with high testosterone levels, after additional administration gonadotropin is disrupted water balance and unhealthy obesity develops.

Testosterone in their body is converted into female sex hormones, estrogens. In young men, after using the medicine, bone growth stops and decreases blood pressure, the timbre of the voice is disturbed. Some men experience nausea, vomiting, a feeling of lightheadedness, and unmotivated fullness after using the drug.

Aging men during menopause suffer from a 30% drop in testosterone levels. They need to correct the level of the hormone in the blood and consult a doctor for a course of treatment with gonadotropin.

In patients prone to baldness, therapeutic effect hormone prevents the appearance of baldness. The medicine is used with caution, under strict medical supervision. Self-medication can seriously harm a man’s body. As a result of improper therapy, he develops cosmetic defects:

  • acne;
  • acne;
  • sebaceous plugs.

When prescribing chronic gonadotropin, the patient should be made aware of the possibility of the formation oncological process, arising in in rare cases after therapy.

Chronic gonadotropin can rejuvenate male body, improve the condition of all organs and systems, improve the quality of life.

Testosterone production plays important role in the functioning of the body of men and women. The drug Chorionic Gonadotropin in the form of injections, according to the instructions for use, solves important task– increase its level in case of deviation from the norm. What other effect does the drug have, for what problems is it prescribed, how to use it correctly - this is discussed in detail in the annotation.

What is human chorionic gonadotropin

This is the name of the hormone responsible for puberty, reproductive function. What is hCG for a woman’s body? This is a substance that is actively produced after fertilization of the egg. It belongs to the gonadotropic hormones, but differs in the sequence of amino acids. Excess hCG norms confirms pregnancy. This is determined by a pharmacy test that reacts to its content in the urine. Increased hCG in non-pregnant women may indicate the presence malignant tumor.

The administration of the drug causes an increase in the production of sex hormones in men, the development of secondary sexual characteristics, and stimulates sperm activity. During use in women:

  • the production of estrogen and progesterone by the ovaries increases;
  • ovulation is stimulated;
  • function is normalized corpus luteum;
  • coming proper development placenta.

Composition and release form

Gonadotropin is available as two components, packaged in a box. Each contains 5 sets of medicine. The composition has:

  • Solvent – saline sodium chloride with a concentration of 0.9%.
  • Sterile glass vial containing a substance in powder form white, contains 500 or 1000 IU - action units. The basis is human chorionic gonadotropin, obtained from biological material, past process lyophilization - drying in a vacuum. Auxiliary Component– mannitol.

pharmachologic effect

Recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin is a hormone that is produced by the placenta and is excreted from the body in the urine of a pregnant woman, from where it is extracted to obtain medicine. When administered by intramuscular injection, it produces healing effect. Active substance:

  • after 15 minutes it enters the bloodstream;
  • distributed in tissues;
  • excreted in urine;
  • half-life is 8 hours.

The drug Gonadotropin refers to the hormones of the hypothalamus:

  • In women - normalizes ovarian function, activates the formation of the corpus luteum, stimulates the production of progesterone and estrogens. Application promotes luteinizing effect - the correct process of ovulation.
  • Gonadotropin for men helps the formation of secondary sexual characteristics and stimulates spermatogenesis. The drug accelerates the descent of the testicles into the scrotum in the treatment of cryptorchidism and activates the production of the hormone testosterone.

Indications for the use of human chorionic gonadotropin

  • infertility as a result of hormonal disorders;
  • late puberty in girls and boys;
  • dysfunction of offspring reproduction;
  • decreased synthesis of sex hormones.

For men

A decrease in gonadotropin levels creates serious problems in organism. HCG in men is responsible for sperm activity and the production of sex hormones. The drug is prescribed if:

  • cryptorchidism;
  • violations reproductive function;
  • insufficient activity of the sex glands;
  • testicular hypoplasia;
  • spermatogenesis disorders;
  • phenomena of eunuchoidism;
  • hypogenitalism.

For women

The hormone gonadotropin plays an important role in treatment female infertility caused by dysfunction of the corpus luteum. It helps to get pregnant in the absence of ovulation, when the follicle cannot burst to fertilize the egg. Indications for use of the product by women are:

Human chorionic gonadotropin

Puregon lyophilisate

Ovitrel, 250 mg

Chorionic gonadotropin (abbreviated as hCG or hCG) is a glycoprotein, a placental hormone, which includes two subunits α and β (alpha and beta subunit of chorionic gonadotropin). The alpha subunit is completely homologous (has a similar origin) with the alpha subunits of thyroid-stimulating, follicle-stimulating, luteinizing hormones, and the beta subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin is unique to this hormone, which is why it differs from TSH, FSH and LH.

It is the beta subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin that is the basis of the pregnancy test. Beta chorionic gonadotropin begins to be released in the first weeks of pregnancy, by 7-11 weeks its amount increases several thousand times, after which it gradually decreases. This is why it is important to test for human chorionic gonadotropin during pregnancy and monitor its level - its decrease or slowdown in production may indicate ectopic pregnancy or risk of miscarriage.

In addition, a woman who cannot become pregnant should be tested for antibodies to human chorionic gonadotropin - they block the activity of hCG, which causes a decrease in the level of placental lactogen, progesterone, and estradiol. It is human chorionic gonadotropin that prevents fetal rejection and intrauterine death, which is why it is important to monitor its level. Women with antibodies to human chorionic gonadotropin in the blood are recommended to undergo plasmapheresis and in vitro fertilization.

Usually human chorionic gonadotropin is determined during pregnancy only, which is considered normal, but this does not mean that an analysis for beta human chorionic gonadotropin is not done non-pregnant women and men. If hormone-producing tumors are suspected, a test is prescribed that detects human chorionic gonadotropin in the blood - for men and women whose pregnancy has not been confirmed.

In addition to the hormone known medical drug human chorionic gonadotropin. Its use is practiced for the treatment of dysfunctions of the reproductive system of women and men.

Get this one hormonal drug from the urine of pregnant women. Basics pharmachologic effect recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin – stimulation of the production of sex hormones in the tissues and ovaries, ovulation, spermatogenesis, development of secondary sexual characteristics and genital organs.

In what cases is human chorionic gonadotropin prescribed? The instructions say that the drug is effective for:

  • ovarian dysfunction;
  • dysmenorrhea;
  • anovulatory infertility;
  • corpus luteum deficiency;
  • threat of miscarriage;
  • habitual miscarriage.

A good result is observed in cases where it is used with auxiliary reproductive techniques Oh, human chorionic gonadotropin – there are reviews about it.

Men are also prescribed human chorionic gonadotropin for:

  • hypogenitalism;
  • tissue hypoplasia;
  • eunuchoidism;
  • cryptorchidism (undescended testicle into the scrotum);
  • sexual infantilism;
  • pituitary dwarfism;
  • adiposogenital syndrome;
  • azoospermia;
  • oligoasthenospermia;
  • as well as for genetic disorders.

Human chorionic gonadotropin is produced in the form of a solution (or lyophilisate for its preparation) for injection.

HCG is injected intramuscularly. On forums dedicated to pregnancy issues, people often ask whether it is possible to inject human chorionic gonadotropin yourself - reviews say that it is possible, but only if the woman herself or her loved ones know how to do it correctly intramuscular injections. This need arises most often due to the fact that long courses are prescribed, and it is not always possible to visit the treatment room in the clinic.

In order to inject hCG you need to know the permissible dosages.

In what volume is human chorionic gonadotropin released? The pharmacy can offer the drug in the following dosages:

  • human chorionic gonadotropin 500 units;
  • human chorionic gonadotropin 1000 units;
  • human chorionic gonadotropin 1500 units;
  • human chorionic gonadotropin 5000 units;
  • human chorionic gonadotropin 10,000 units.

Dosages and methods of use of human chorionic gonadotropin

Here we will give the standard dosages in which human chorionic gonadotropin is prescribed and injected. Pharmacy, Internet forums and even instructions cannot be the main consultants in this matter, especially if we're talking about about maintaining pregnancy or treating infertility.

Incorrect treatment can aggravate the situation and delay recovery, leading to serious undesirable consequences. To stimulate ovulation, women are prescribed a single dose of human chorionic gonadotropin 5000 or human chorionic gonadotropin 10,000 IU.

To stimulate the function of the corpus luteum on days 3-6-9 of ovulation, human chorionic gonadotropin 1500 or human chorionic gonadotropin 5000 IU is prescribed.

During reproductive measures for superovulation, after stimulating the growth of multiple follicles, a woman is injected once with about 10,000 IU of human chorionic gonadotropin. The egg is collected 34-36 hours after the hCG injection.

To maintain pregnancy (in case of recurrent miscarriage), a woman is prescribed hCG injections as early as possible (no later than 8 weeks) and the drug is administered up to 14 weeks inclusive. On the first day of therapy, human chorionic gonadotropin 10,000 IU is injected, and on subsequent days, human chorionic gonadotropin 5,000 IU is injected, twice a week.

If there is a threat of miscarriage, first inject 10,000 IU, and after that, human chorionic gonadotropin 5,000 IU twice a week. You can start therapy, as in the previous case, only until the 8th week of pregnancy, and continue until the 14th week.

Human chorionic gonadotropin gives good results in cases of delayed sexual development in boys. Treatment involves prescribing 3000-5000 IU of hCG per week for three months. Men with delayed sexual development are prescribed chorionic gonadotropin 500, human chorionic gonadotropin 1000 units, 1500 units or 2000 units per day for 1.5-3 months, 2-3 times a week.

For the treatment of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, human chorionic gonadotropin is prescribed at a dosage of 1500-6000 IU, in combination with menotropins - once a week. For cryptorchidism, boys under 6 years of age are injected with human chorionic gonadotropin 1000 units or 500 units twice a week for 6 weeks. Boys over 6 years of age are injected with 1500 IU of human chorionic gonadotropin twice a week, also for 6 weeks.

In women, the drug can cause ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, and, as a result, the formation of cysts, hydrothorax, ascites, and thromboembolism. In men and boys, human chorionic gonadotropin can cause temporary transient enlargement of the breasts, prostate gland, acne, and water retention.

Boys may experience behavioral changes similar to those that usually occur in the 1st phase of puberty. Similar symptoms disappear after the end of treatment.

Contraindications to the use of human chorionic gonadotropin

The use of human chorionic gonadotropin is contraindicated for hormone-dependent tumors, cryptorchidism of organic origin (such as caused by a hernia in the groin, surgery performed in the groin, incorrect position testicles), with hypersensitivity to human chorionic gonadotropin.

Separately, I would like to highlight such a contraindication as the use of the drug human chorionic gonadotropin in bodybuilding. Athletes give themselves injections of hCG, since it increases the secretion of testosterone by the testicles, and, as a result, promotes muscle gain.

But such use of hCG is not justified: the drug is less effective than anabolic steroids and, in addition, large doses of hCG are required to obtain optimal results - more than 4000 IU per week. Use of the drug in such doses may cause irreversible damage functionality of the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and testes.

HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is a hormone that large quantities produced by the chorion of the embryo. This happens within a week after fertilization. A sufficient amount of it indicates normal developing pregnancy. Chorionic gonadotropin is also present in small amounts in the body of men and women who are not expecting a child. A drug containing this hormone is widely used in medicine for various purposes.

What is human chorionic gonadotropin and what is it responsible for? This substance belongs to gonadotropic hormones. It plays an important role in the body of men and women. This substance is on a par with luteinizing and follicle-stimulating hormones, but differs from them in structure. Human chorionic gonadotropin is a complex protein base in which carbohydrate elements are present. It consists largely of amino acids.

Chorionic gonadotropin, produced in large quantities in the body of a pregnant woman, is excreted unchanged from her body in the urine. From there it is extracted to create medicines that are subsequently used for various purposes.

Pharmacological properties of gonadotropin

A drug containing gonadotropin hormone has the following pharmacological properties:

  • promotes the synthesis of sex hormones in female body, which occurs in the ovaries. In men, the same process occurs in the testicles. Human chorionic gonadotropin especially affects testosterone production;
  • promotes ovulation;
  • stimulates spermatogenesis in men;
  • provides normal functioning corpus luteum, which is especially important during pregnancy;
  • affects normal development genital organs in men and women, provokes the appearance of secondary sexual characteristics.

Indications for use of the drug gonadotropin

The peculiarity of the use of gonadotropin is that it can eliminate many problems that are found in men and women. This drug is most often used to treat decreased sexual function, which occurs when normal operation pituitary gland and hypothalamus.

The most common indications for the use of this drug are:

  • Simmonds syndrome, which causes serious hormonal disorders of various kinds;
  • necrosis of the pituitary gland observed after childbirth. This condition is a complication that occurs as a result of significant bleeding;
  • panhypopituitarism different types, regardless of the reasons for its occurrence;

  • adiposogenital dystrophy with emerging obesity, which is localized in the area of the brain where the hypothalamus and pituitary gland are located;
  • dwarfism caused by insufficient function of the pituitary gland, which is accompanied by sexual disorders;
  • hypogonadism, accompanied by sexual dysfunction, absence of normally developed genitals;
  • infertility in women, which is associated with lack of ovulation;

  • with delayed sexual development in men and women;
  • when there are threats of spontaneous abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy in the presence of a fetus that is developing normally;
  • uterine bleeding in women of reproductive age;
  • to stimulate the descent of the testicles into the scrotum in children;
  • Diagnosis of hypogonadism in representatives of the stronger sex.

Use of gonadotropin drug in sports

Chorionic gonadotropin has anabolic properties. It is because of this that it began to be used in bodybuilding to gain muscle mass. Also, a drug containing this hormone affects the hypothalamus in a special way, which stimulates the reduction of body fat. The human body begins to consume energy reserves more intensively, which results in a weight loss effect. At the same time, the muscles do not undergo splitting, as can be observed with natural process without external interference.

Recent research by scientists indicates that the use this drug may be hazardous to human health. Chorionic gonadotropin produces a much smaller effect on gaining muscle mass than taking other anabolic steroids. To get a noticeable result, it is necessary to administer large doses of the drug, which negatively affects the functioning of the body.

Gonadotropin for men is indicated exclusively in cases where there is high risk testicular atrophy due to use anabolic steroids. In this case, it is recommended to use the drugs in a minimum dosage, which eliminates negative consequences for the body. They are taken after a long course of steroids (more than 1-2 months). At this time it is also recommended to consume vitamin complexes and lots of protein foods.

Method of use of the gonadotropin drug

Human chorionic gonadotropin is released pharmaceutical companies in the form of a powder, which is intended for preparing a solution. For this purpose, a solvent (most often sodium chloride) is included in the kit for the main drug. It must be introduced into an ampoule with powder, and then used for its intended purpose. The drug usually dissolves well within a few seconds. The resulting liquid is injected intramuscularly.

If the prepared solution is not completely used, then it must be moved to the refrigerator. Dry powder should be kept in a dark place out of reach of children. Optimal temperature for this – no more than 20°C.

The half-life of the active substances of the drug is several hours. The results from using one injection last for a long time - about 5-6 days.

Acceptable dosages of gonadotropin

Instructions for use of this drug indicate the optimal dosage:

  • for women in the absence of ovulation, to stimulate this process with one injection - from 5,000 to 10,000 units;
  • stimulation normal life corpus luteum - maximum dose 5000 units (used on certain days of the menstrual cycle);
  • during the IVF procedure during stimulation of ovulation - 10,000 U in one injection;
  • in case of recurrent miscarriage (before 8 weeks of pregnancy), the entire first trimester - the first dose is 10,000 units, then 5,000 units 2 times a week;
  • for developmental delays in children (boys) - a maximum dose of 5000 IU for 3 months or more once a week;
  • for reproductive dysfunction in men - a maximum dose of 2000 units 2-3 times a week for several months;
  • in the treatment of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism - maximum dose of 6000 U once a week;
  • to assess testicular function when diagnosing certain conditions – 5000 U once;
  • for testicular descent in boys under 6 years of age - maximum dose of 1000 U 2 times a week for 1.5 months;
  • for the descent of the testicles in boys over 6 years old - 1500 units twice a week for 1.5 months;
  • for oligospermia - 5000 units every week for 3 months.

Contraindications for use

Human chorionic gonadotropin is not used with therapeutic purpose in the following cases:

  • hyperprolactinemia;
  • ovarian cancer;
  • hypersensitivity to any component;
  • absence of glands reproductive system (congenital pathology, the result of the operation);
  • hypothyroidism;
  • menopause that came too early;
  • tumors of various types (pituitary gland or hormonally dependent gonads);
  • thrombophlebitis;
  • lactation;
  • adrenal dysfunction;
  • obstruction of the uterine tubes.

Also with great caution this remedy is prescribed for hypertension, in adolescence, for the treatment of people with renal failure, bronchial asthma or frequent episodes of migraines.

Side effects of gonadotropin

Chorionic gonadotropin 1500 IU dosage or any other can provoke the following adverse reactions:

  • increased irritability;
  • pain at the injection site;
  • hyperemia;
  • allergic reactions different manifestations;
  • headache;
  • high fatigue;
  • depressive states;
  • inhibition of the normal functioning of the pituitary gland;
  • in women, when taken in large doses, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is observed, in men - tissue swelling, nipple sensitivity, gynecomastia, enlarged testicles;
  • with long-term use in men, suppression of sperm activity is observed.

Reception features

With increasing doses of the drug, women often experience ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, which is accompanied by an increase in their size.

This dangerous condition, requiring symptomatic treatment. Major complications of this state– ascites and hydrothorax. In the treatment of infertility, this drug is often used in combination with menopausal gonadotropin.

When treating men, the drug has been proven to be ineffective at high concentrations of FSH. Unfounded long-term use means leads to negative consequences. When treating children, premature puberty may occur. If the hormone is administered for cryptorchidism, degeneration of the genital organs sometimes occurs.

Long-term use may cause the formation of specific antibodies. This is a dangerous condition that leads to a decrease in hormone concentration immune system. During pregnancy, this leads to miscarriage or premature birth. If this drug was used to stimulate ovulation, the likelihood of producing two or more eggs increases several times.

It should also be taken into account that after discontinuation of the drug in both men and women, a pregnancy test will show a false positive result for a week.

Stimulates ovulation in women and spermatogenesis in men. Enhances the development of genital organs and secondary sexual characteristics.

Indications for use. Hypofunction of the gonads in men and women, caused by disruption of the activity of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland.
In women: anovulatory infertility, corpus luteum insufficiency (in the presence of estrogenic ovarian function), induction of superovulation during assisted reproductive techniques, recurrent miscarriage, threatened spontaneous miscarriage.
In men: hypogenitalism, eunuchoidism; testicular hypoplasia, cryptorchidism; adiposogenital syndrome, pituitary dwarfism, sexual infantilism; oligoasthenospermia, azoospermia.
With the aim of differential diagnosis cryptorchidism and anarchism in boys and for the purpose of assessing testicular function in hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.

Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, pituitary tumor, hormonally active tumors of the gonads (including androgen-dependent), absence of the gonads (congenital or after surgery), early attack menopause, thrombophlebitis, lactation, ovarian cancer, hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, hyperprolactinemia, fallopian tube obstruction.

Carefully: adolescence, ischemic disease hearts, arterial hypertension, chronic renal failure, bronchial asthma, migraine.

Directions for use and doses. The drug is prescribed intramuscularly.
For women to induce ovulation - 5000-10000 units at a time, to stimulate the function of the corpus luteum - 1500-5000 units on days 3-6-9 after ovulation.
To induce superovulation during assisted reproductive measures - up to 10,000 units once after inducing the growth of multiple follicles, which is achieved as a result of stimulation according to an established scheme. The egg is collected 34-36 hours after injection.
In case of recurrent miscarriage, administration begins immediately after pregnancy is diagnosed (but no later than 8 weeks) and continues until the 14th week of pregnancy inclusive: on day 1 - 10,000 units, then 5,000 units 2 times a week.
If there is a threat of spontaneous miscarriage (if symptoms appeared in the first 8 weeks of pregnancy) - 10,000 units initially, then 5,000 units 2 times a week until the 14th week of pregnancy inclusive.
For delayed sexual development in boys - 3000-5000 IU once a week for at least 3 months. For men - 500-2000 units 1 time per day 2-3 times a week for 1.5-3 months.
For hypogonadotropic hypogonadism: 1500-6000 units (in combination with menotropins) once a week.
For the purpose of differential diagnosis of cryptorchidism and anarchism in boys and for the purpose of assessing testicular function in hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, a single dose of 5000 units.
For cryptorchidism: under the age of 6 years - 500-1000 units 2 times a week for 6 weeks; over 6 years old - 1500 units 2 times a week for 6 weeks.
For idiopathic normogonadotropic oligospermia - 5000 units weekly for 3 months along with menotropins. For oligo- and asthenospermia caused by relative androgen deficiency - 2500 units every 5 days or 10,000 units once every 2 weeks for 3 months.

Side effect. Local reactions(pain at the injection site, hyperemia); allergic reactions; headache; increased fatigue; irritability; anxiety; depression; suppression of the gonadotropic function of the pituitary gland.
In women with combination treatment infertility (in combination with menotropins and clomiphene) - ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. In men - fluid retention, swelling, increased sensitivity nipples mammary glands, gynecomastia, enlarged testicles in the inguinal canal (with cryptorchidism).
As a result of long-term use of the drug in men, a decrease in the number of sperm in the ejaculate was found.

Overdose. In case of an overdose of the drug, women may experience ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome with an increase in their size due to ovarian cysts with the danger of their rupture, the appearance of ascites and hydrothorax. Its appearance may be indicated by symptoms such as a feeling of tension and abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, and weight gain. Treatment is symptomatic.

Interaction with others medicines . Chorionic gonadotropin is used in combination with menopausal gonadotropin in the treatment of infertility.

special instructions.
In men, the drug is ineffective when high content follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). With prolonged treatment or use in large doses In male adolescents with disorders of physical and sexual development, premature puberty is possible. Unreasonably long-term use drug for cryptorchidism, especially if indicated surgery, can lead to degeneration of the gonads. Inhibition of FSH production due to stimulation of the production of androgens and estrogens contributes to atrophy of the seminiferous tubules.
Long-term administration may lead to the formation of antibodies to the drug.
Increases the likelihood of multiple pregnancies. Possible erroneous results when using a pregnancy test during treatment with the drug and within 7 days after its discontinuation.
