Choosing a driving school

The road to cherished rights begins with a driving school. Usually it is chosen near the house or work. My advice: choose a driving school as close as possible to the traffic police, where you will take the exam. For example, my driving school is tied to two traffic police - Strogino and Annino. Strogino is closer, so I took my exams there. But we drove around Voykovskaya, not far from home and work. Of course, it was useful, I got used to driving, acquired driving skills. But it is much more useful to get used to the exam route.

An additional bonus - you will learn from instructors who know all the intricacies of passing exams, because they communicate with traffic police inspectors. They will definitely provide some life hacks.

And so I had to take 8 additional lessons from instructors who specialize in this particular exam route.

The second important point: find out how many days a driving school is ready to provide for passing exams at the traffic police. For example, in my case it was 1-2 times a month. Changing driving instructors is also good because it is an opportunity to ride different cars. Although driving schools charge money for submitting a car to an exam, the likelihood that you will drive the car that you studied in is close to zero. According to my calculations, from the moment I entered the driving school until the moment I got my license, I drove about 10 brands of cars. And it's not easy, let me tell you. Try to feel the dimensions of the Škoda Octavia station wagon, when before that you only sat in Renault Logan.

As a rule, there are no problems with internal driving school exams. Additional classes with an instructor may be required for a fee if you have not passed the practical part, but sooner or later everyone will get an exam at the traffic police.

Theory

But troubles happen, and suppose that it happened to you: you got nervous, made a mistake and didn’t pass. Don't worry, even if you just go home in complete shock from what happened, the driving school will sign you up for a retake of the exam in a week.

Area

The next stage is the autodrome or, as the people say, the playground. Often it is handed over on the same day as the theory, sometimes you have to wait in line for several hours, so take water and a snack with you: sandwiches, bananas, chocolate.

Listen to the inspector! You will be nervous, this is inevitable, but try to focus and not miss valuable information. I advise you to drive at minimum speed and stop before each maneuver. Pits can occur on the circuit, including near the marking lines, in addition, some sites have a slight slope, so constantly control the brake pedal.

Let's say you're the hero and you pass both parts right away. I highly recommend stopping and renting the “city” in a week. In my experience, by the time it comes to the “city”, the nerves will already be pretty frayed, and this will certainly affect the result.

The most nerve-wracking part of the driving license exam. Objectively, it's really the most difficult. But on some points you can lay straws - now I'll tell you.

First advice: guess the beginning of your studies at a driving school so that the exams at the traffic police fall in the summer. For example, I first got to the exams on November 29, almost winter. And the first three attempts to surrender the "city" took place in the winter. Plus, I rented out the site two more times. You wait for your turn on the street, there are no cafes, no shops, or even just shops nearby (at least in Strogino). Waiting takes from an hour to infinity. I once waited three hours! Three hours in the cold, hungry and nervous.

Therefore, go to a driving school in the winter, after the New Year. While unlearning, pass internal exams, here and April.

Dress warmer than the weather. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Drinking and eating will also help, but do not overdo it. I usually took a chocolate bar, a bottle of water and coffee with me. In warm weather, take a small tourist folding chair with you - believe me, everyone will envy your ingenuity. It's even better if someone comes with you to the exam in a car. You can sit there and warm up.

I advise you to do the first three attempts to pass on the rights with your driving school. First, it is a serious stress. You need to arrive by 8 in the morning, it is not clear where to go, what to do. The curator will explain and show everything. Secondly, if a driving school can provide an exam day every week, you will be able to meet all the retakes in a month and a half and get your license.

According to statistics, the majority passes the “city” on the third try. If it doesn't work out, submit the documents yourself. To do this, you just need to take your card and a certificate and give it to a special window where you will be recorded for the next exam (after the third attempt, both from a driving school and from the traffic police are recorded in a month, these are the rules). I clarified these points with the administrators of the driving school, they will prompt and tell everything.

If you have any questions - ask directly to the traffic police. The people there are actually very responsive and will immediately direct you where you need to go.

Driving license in three days? No! No! And again no! Submit yourself. Fundamentally. Think it's impossible? Wrong! My story is proof of that. Yes, I spent a lot of time. Passed on the third try. But if I had known about some of the nuances, I would not have failed in the first exam. So don't repeat my mistakes. Just wind on your mustache!

Task number 1: unlearn at a driving school

Alas, today there is no way without it, there is no more external. Fortunately, driving schools with "just for you" schedules are a dime a dozen. The pricing policy is different. The average cost of the course without additional payments for mechanics is 33,000 rubles, for an automatic machine - 35,000 rubles. Do not try to find cheaper - the miser pays twice!

At one time, I "pierced" with the Central Driving School of Moscow, and how beautifully it all began ... Theory for 8,000 rubles, practice - take as much as you need, at least - payment for four lessons of 700 rubles each. each, the rest - directly with the instructor. As it turned out later, the centralized passing of the exam is another 6,500 rubles, and driving along the route of the traffic police is already 1,000 rubles. class. With this educational institution, I did not get to the traffic police, and after talking with the instructor, faith in myself as a driver disappeared altogether.

Well, if you have the initial driving skills, it is already easier. Much of your success depends on the instructor. I got lucky with that one. Clear, smart, calm. “Everything will work out,” he told me and gave me some freedom, keeping his foot on the brake.

This is not a mere formality. A classmate made three mistakes in a theoretical ticket and was not admitted to the traffic police. I had to wait another two weeks before the next time. So learn the theory, get ready to drive. Everything is like a real exam.

Rigid requirements - absolutely right. Driving is a responsibility. You have to be careful, there are people nearby. Not ready - learn! In addition, driving schools for negligent students "get" from the traffic police. Autocourses are a profitable business, and they don't want to lose their license.

Task number 4: successfully pass the exam in the traffic police

You can! This will require:

Solve each theoretical ticket at least 4 times. There are 40 tickets in total. Solve in paper form. In electronic applications, it is possible to skip a number of questions. There is enough time for preparation, from the beginning of classes to the passing of the exam - 3-4 months.

Under the rules that came into effect in September 2016, you can make two mistakes in a ticket of 20 questions, but for each of them you will get five more questions! And here you can't really go wrong.

Perform exercises on the circuit. Everything is simple here. The cones stay in place, they don't move anywhere. Do not believe if someone says that the distance between the columns is less than it was at the driving school site. The distance is the same. Definitely. Everything is according to GOSTs. At this stage, you can only “fill up” yourself.

The inspectors use only one trick. In parallel parking. They put the car before the start of the exercise, sort of straight, but you don’t fit into your pocket. Pull over to the right side, and hooray! You are in your pocket. See drawing, stay close to the red line, but do not hit the cone with a mirror.

Since September 2016, the driver candidate has to complete five exercises: overpass, parallel parking, entering the box backwards and two elements of maneuvering in a confined space (this can be a turn in a confined space, turn 90 degrees or “snake”).

Drive around the city and not score penalty points. This is the main test. No matter how many times you drive along the traffic police route, the situation on the road will be different. Therefore, only confidence and calmness. Don't worry, don't rush, don't speed up. Your maximum speed is 40 km/h. The presence of the inspector should not embarrass you.

According to the innovations, driving will be assessed more strictly: they forgot to buckle up - three points, they did not let a pedestrian pass - three more. It is enough to score five points to go home. From the pleasant: the inspector will be in the back seat of the car, in front of you is your instructor. It will take about 30 minutes to sweat on the test route.

As for the question of interest to everyone, which has already become a statement: “The inspectors are being brought down by everyone,” the answer is negative. The inspector is not brought down. As for my story, I passed the theory and the platform with ease the first time. Why the city from the third? Be prepared for the fact that the exam takes at least half a day, and sometimes a whole day. A medical certificate costs about 500 rubles, plus another 500 rubles each. for not being registered in a psycho- and drug dispensary (you go to them on your own, come there with an already paid receipt, payment only through a bank). The state duty for obtaining a driver's license is 2,000 rubles, from January 2017 the tariff will be increased to 3,000 rubles.

Thus, the first retake 7 days after the first unsuccessful attempt, the second retake not earlier than after 14 days, the third after 44 days, after 74 days, after 104 days, after 134 days, and the last retake after 164 days. After these attempts, the theory must be retaken!
New requirements began to be imposed on the examiners, and they became much tougher. It is allowed to take exams by persons with higher education who have reached the age of 25. They must have the rights of exactly the category for which exams are taken in driving practice. The driving experience for examiners has also become longer - it must be at least 5 years.
Self-training is no longer possible, and future drivers are required to take a course of specialized training at a driving school.
Passing the exam is allowed on cars with both manual and automatic transmissions.

If you were among the lucky ones and successfully passed the theoretical part, you are allowed to pass the practical exam - driving on the autodrome.

How is the practical part of the exam at the circuit?

In order for a future driver to confirm the driving skills acquired during his studies, he must pass a practical exam, which takes place at closed-type sites and specially equipped autodromes. The instructor will offer you to perform a number of basic exercises that you know and practiced in a driving school. There is a rule here: the exercises begin at the line with the inscription "Start", without crossing the "Stop" mark. During the exam, there is a penalty system of points, and for each of your violations, the inspector awards a point. If you have completed the driving tasks and confirmed the acquired basic skills, you move on to the next stage and “go out” on the road to pass the driving test in real traffic conditions.

Under the new rules, the examiner may require the candidate to perform five exercises on the court. So, for example, to pass a practical exam for the right to drive vehicles of categories "B", "C" and "D" and subcategories "B1", "C1" and "D1" these are the following exercises: No. 4 "Stopping and starting to move on the rise" , No. 5 "Maneuvering in a confined space", No. 6 "Moving and maneuvering in reverse, entering the box in reverse", No. 7 "Parking the vehicle and leaving the parking space, parking for loading (unloading) on the loading rack (platform) , stop for the safe boarding or disembarkation of passengers”, exercise No. 8 “Passing a controlled intersection” (for automated autodromes).

How to practice driving in the city

What happens to the examinee? Get behind the wheel and confidently drive along the road path of the city. Most often, the instructor chooses sections of the road located in the center of the settlement, and this is done in order to identify not only the knowledge of the rules of the road in the future driver, but also practical skills. During the examination route, the instructor thoroughly assesses the driver's ability to navigate in real city roads.

On the way, the driver will meet pedestrian crossings, traffic lights, road markings, intersections, stops, a large number of signs, so special care should be taken. The inspector who will examine you may create a provocative situation in order to assess your knowledge. For example, it will prompt you to perform an action that violates the rules of the road. If you do not assess the situation in time and do not orient yourself that this request cannot be fulfilled in any case, then your action will be considered a gross mistake and you will have to retake the driving test.

If you behaved correctly during the exam route and successfully completed all sections of the city route, you will be issued a license corresponding to the category in which you passed the exams. The validity of a driver's license in Russia is ten years.

Retaking the exam for law

In the event of an unsuccessful attempt to pass a section of the city route, the future driver has the right to retake, but not earlier than a week after the failed attempt. Let us focus on the fact that the theoretical part of the exam will be valid for 6 months, and if during this period of time you do not have time to retake the practical skills of driving on the road, then the theoretical part will have to be retaken. If you belong to the "unlucky" group, and failed to pass any exam on the third or more attempts, then you will be given time to rest before the next "fight". This period will be thirty days.

The terms for retaking the exam in the traffic police are such that the first retake is scheduled 7 days after the first unsuccessful attempt, the second retake not earlier than 14 days, the third after 44 days, after 74 days, 104 days, 134 days, and the last retake can be scheduled after 164 days.

How to get international driving license

If you decide to get an international driver's license, then you will need to collect a small package of documents and take it to the traffic police. Here is the list:

Passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
Application for obtaining the rights of international standard;
Driving license of the Russian sample;
Photo in color or black and white on matte paper (size 35x45 mm).

To obtain an international driving license, you do not need to pass any exams - they are issued on the basis of the driver's Russian driver's license. The validity of international rights is three years, but they cannot be valid for more than the period specified in Russian rights.

Where is law training

Passing exams at the traffic police can be successful from the very first time, but for this, the future driver should be well prepared theoretically and work out basic driving skills in a driving school. In 2014, an innovation was introduced related to the training program for future drivers. Starting from August 11, 2014, on the basis of the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation of December 26, 2013 N 1408 "On the Approval of Exemplary Vocational Training Programs for Drivers of Vehicles of the Relevant Categories and Subcategories", new training programs for drivers wishing to obtain rights were approved categories:

A - motorcycles;
A1 - light motorcycles with engine displacement from 50 to 125 cc. see and maximum power up to 11 kW;
B - cars, the permissible maximum weight of which does not exceed 3.5 tons and the number of seats, in addition to the driver's seat, does not exceed eight;
B1 - tricycles and quadricycles, in column 12, in addition, the mark "AS" (with an automotive control system) is put - if category "A" is not open and "MS" (with a motorcycle control system) - if category "B" is not open;
BE - vehicles of category B with a trailer with a maximum authorized mass exceeding 750 kilograms;
C - cars with a maximum authorized mass of more than 3.5 tons, including those with a trailer up to 750 kg;
C1 - includes cars with a maximum permitted weight of 3.5 to 7.5 tons;
CE - motor vehicles of category C with a trailer with a maximum authorized mass exceeding 750 kilograms;
C1E - cars of the CE category, the permissible maximum mass of which exceeds 3.5 tons but does not exceed 7.5 tons;
D - cars designed for the carriage of passengers and having more than eight seats, in addition to the driver's seat, including those with a trailer up to 750 kg;
D1 - cars equipped with 9-16 seats except for the driver;
DE - a motor vehicle of category D coupled to a trailer whose maximum authorized mass exceeds 750 kg but does not exceed 3.5 tons;
D1E - cars of category DE, the permissible maximum mass of which exceeds 3.5 tons but does not exceed 7.5 tons;
M - mopeds, scooters, as well as light quadricycles with an engine capacity of up to 50 cubic meters. cm;
Tm - trams;
Tb - trolleybuses.

This document fixed rather stringent requirements for driving schools, training vehicles, areas for practicing basic driving skills, and equipping classes. Any driving school that trains future drivers to drive a car must now receive a special conclusion from the traffic police confirming its compliance with the curricula established by the state.

What does driving school include?

After successfully completing the training, graduates receive a certificate of successful completion of a driving school, which is worth keeping in case you have to restore your rights in case of loss or theft.

Can you buy the rights? How much does a driver's license cost?

There are citizens who do not want to undergo a long training in a driving school, they are too lazy to “steam” with passing exams, it is these irresponsible citizens who ask themselves: “Is it possible to buy rights?”. Obtaining rights in an illegal way, judging by the numerous offers on certain sites on the Internet, is possible. If you believe these scammers, then the purchase price of driving pleasure is from 20,000 to 60,000 rubles. Is it worth talking about the guarantees and security of such transactions? After all, this is a one hundred percent illegal scheme for obtaining rights, regardless of category, whether it is buying a license to drive a motorcycle, or trying to pass a category B exam for money. The question arises, do you need this risk? And then what will such a dubious and expensive purchase turn out to be without obtaining the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical driving skills?
