I lived in a hotel in late autumn, but if it were summer, then right from the room one could observe the drawing of several bridges at once: Alexander Nevsky and Bolsheokhtinsky. In addition, the windows offer a beautiful view of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra.
The hotel is located on several floors of a large Stalinist building. Other floors are occupied by the polyclinic department, the hospital department and various departments of the medical academy. There is a private car park for guests and staff. On the ground floor, in addition to the reception desk for guests and the administration, there is also a small cafe, roofing felts, dining room. The food here is quite edible, but without frills. The cafe closes at 8pm. You can choose from a breakfast buffet or order something from the menu. There are different rooms in the hotel, but all of them, even the simplest ones, are clean, tidy, with new furniture and quite spacious. We lived on the floor with standard double rooms. On one side of the corridor, the rooms were decorated in blue and blue tones, and on the other in brownish-beige. The standard rooms have a fairly spacious wardrobe, beds with orthopedic mattresses, several bedside tables, a desk, a small refrigerator, TV, air conditioning, shower and toilet. The window sills surprised us. They are almost a meter deep. So it is convenient to use them as a shelf.
It is not allowed to use kettles in the room, but it is not necessary. There is a free cooler with artesian water in the corridor. It is not allowed to smoke in the rooms, but all the conditions in the lobby are created for this. There are comfortable sofas and tables. In the evening, everything is illuminated by a pleasant subdued light. So it's nice to be able to sit with guests. You can go up to your floor either by the beautiful old staircase or by one of the two elevators. All this together makes a very pleasant impression. As a rule, doctors who come to seminars and conferences settle here. The cost of a standard double room with breakfast in November was only 2500 rubles. During the season, unlike other hotels, the price rises by only 100-300 rubles. In my opinion, this is one of the best hotels in the city for intelligent people who do not want to throw money away.
