Chernobyl is an ordinary wormwood, and the power in it is priceless! The most powerful herb for the treatment of the whole body. Wormwood - medicinal properties and contraindications, use in traditional medicine

The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a lamp, and fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of this star is Wormwood.

And a third of the waters became wormwood, and many of the people died from the waters, because they became bitter (Rev. 8:10-11).

April 26, 2017 marks 31 years since the Chernobyl tragedy, known to the whole world. From the consequences of which, according to experts, about three million people will die.

Archimandrite Sergius (Yakushin), rector of the Chernobyl Ilyinsky Church, and at that time a machine operator, witnessed the largest nuclear disaster in the history of mankind. He says that exactly 10 years before the Chernobyl accident, on April 26, 1976, the Queen of Heaven herself warned about it.

An oddly shaped cloud appeared in the sky. In the evening, many local residents saw how a cloud descended to the ground so that the outlines of the figure of the Most Holy Theotokos became clearly and clearly visible on it.

The face and clothes were visible - all in bright colors. In her hands she held bundles of dry wormwood, which we call Chernobyl. The Mother of God dropped the wormwood over the city.

Ten years later, it was Saturday, a day off, Passion Week was going on. At this time, the inhabitants of Chernobyl went to their gardens. Someone was already planting potatoes, children were playing outside. Then the fishermen who fished at night in Pripyat said that they first saw a glow over the Elias Church. And then flashes over the nuclear power plant.

No one immediately informed us that two explosions had occurred at the station at night. Chernobyl is a small town. To Pripyat, where the station is 19 kilometers.

In the morning we saw that columns of cars with military men dressed in chemical protection suits were walking towards the nuclear power plant. Each was wearing a gas mask.

Pripyat was evacuated on the second day, and we were taken out of Chernobyl only on May 5th. At the same time, they assured: You are leaving, for a maximum of a week, take only the most necessary things.

Nobody wanted to leave their homes. We had to plant gardens. People did not believe in these milliroentgens. Residents were asked to close windows, turn off electrical appliances, turn off water taps. People got into buses with documents and a couple of bags. Everything that they collected bit by bit all their lives was left in abandoned houses.

In total, more than 120 thousand people left their homes.

St. Elias Church became the only one operating in the exclusion zone. Nearby were abandoned private houses, inside of which a weedy forest sprouted through the rotten floor. Moss carpeted the asphalt. And in the temple - whitewashed walls, a trimmed lawn, flower beds and tables where they fed the elderly who remained in the exclusion zone

How many did not measure the level of radiation, and in the Ilyinsky temple it was the lowest! If there are 30 micro-roentgens on the street, then in the church - 8. God protected those who came under his protection. Moreover, we have a temple 8 kilometers from the reactor. There, on the street, there are 200 micro-roentgens, and inside the temple - 12, although all the windows are broken in it.

Once, a duty squad, patrolling the exclusion zone, was driving along a narrow country road, which was densely surrounded by trees and shrubs on both sides.

Approaching the place where the temple stands, the policemen still distinctly heard the sounds of voices from a distance. At first we decided that it seemed. There couldn't be people here.

The guys got out of the car and froze. They suddenly found an inexplicable fear, embraced the sacred horror.

Healthy men were frightened like children and, jumping into their jeep, gave a tear.

The entire police battalion guarding the Chernobyl zone knew about this incredible story. In this place, burned by the deadly breath of radiation, there is holiness and grace, and therefore the Angels serve there. The Lord was pleased that people should know about it. They remembered the tragedy and understood the danger of life without God.

And the Lord said through the prophet Jeremiah:

Because they forsook My law which I decreed for them, and did not listen to My voice and did not act on it; but they walked in the stubbornness of their hearts and in the footsteps of the Baals, as their fathers had taught them. Therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood, and I will give them bile water to drink (Jer. 9.13-15).

Chernobyl - the popular name of the plant Wormwood (Artemasia vulgaris, lat.). Belongs to the genus Wormwood of the Astrov family, is a species of perennial herbaceous plants. Among the people, the common wormwood was called Chernobyl because of its black stems, which, having dried in the fields, stand out sharply in the winter on white snow. It grows everywhere in Europe, Asia, North Africa, America. In Russia and Ukraine, it is present in all areas.

Chernobyl is a perennial plant with straight branched stems, reaching 2, and sometimes 2.5 meters in height. Flowering period - 2 months, from July to September. The fruits (small seeds) ripen from July to October.

Chernobyl is a ruderal plant - a garbage weed that is difficult to remove. It grows in wastelands, along communication routes, near fences, in landfills, in uncultivated fields, pastures, in plantations, along roads, along the banks of water bodies, prefers moist soil. It is practically impossible to extract.

Harvesting and storage of Chernobyl

Despite its unpresentable appearance and belonging to weeds, Chernobyl is a medicinal plant, so it is harvested and stored both in industrial conditions and at home. The preparation is subject to:

  • the apical parts of the stems of the plant with flowers, which are cut during flowering, knitted in bunches and dried naturally in the air or in rooms with good ventilation;
  • the roots of the plant, which are removed from the ground in September, are washed and dried in the same way as grass stalks.

Application in everyday life

In some areas, the upper (aerial) part of the Chernobyl is used as a seasoning for fatty meat dishes from goose, duck, pork, for which the plant is specially cultivated. Koreans use wormwood in the manufacture of national rice cakes. Hunters in the wild add Chernobyl leaves to fried game.

From the rods of the plant, cut before the seeds ripen, brooms are knitted. In ancient times, there was a belief that wormwood drives away evil spirits and protects from dangers. The smell of wormwood repels harmful insects, fleas, mosquitoes. It is a high-calorie silage product and is eaten with pleasure by livestock.

Useful properties of wormwood and use in traditional medicine

In pharmacology, the leafy tops of flowering wormwood and the leaves of the plant are used. Raw materials are harvested in the budding phase - the beginning of flowering. Leaves are cut off without petioles by hand, and the tops of shoots up to 25 cm long are cut off with a knife or sickle. Dry in the shade in the open air, in attics or in dryers at a temperature of 40-50 ° C. Dry raw materials are stored for no more than 2 years.

Wormwood has anthelmintic, choleretic, diuretic, anti-allergic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antiseptic effects. Due to its bitterness, it strongly stimulates the activity of the glands of the digestive system. In moderate doses, wormwood preparations have a calming effect on the central nervous system, and large ones cause its excitation. In addition, they increase the body's resistance to adverse factors, are useful for influenza, as well as in the post-infection and postoperative periods.

Wormwood herb was included in all editions of the Russian Pharmacopoeia. Due to its beneficial properties, wormwood was considered one of the best means to stimulate appetite. In modern medicine, wormwood is prescribed as a gastric and choleretic agent. This plant is effective in atony of the stomach and biliary tract, hypoacid gastritis, low acidity, early stages of stomach cancer, cholecystitis, gallbladder diseases.

It is also known about the use of wormwood mixed with creeping thyme for aversion to alcohol.

When applied topically, the plant has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiseptic, antifungal and bactericidal effects.

An infusion of wormwood herb (sometimes in combination with mint and sage leaves) is used to rinse the mouth to eliminate bad smell, and also make lotions and compresses for bruises, purulent wounds and ulcers.

Diluted in a ratio of 1:10, it is used for compresses and lotions for bruises, abrasions, wounds, phlebitis, varicose veins, trophic ulcers, eye diseases and mosquito bites. Fresh crushed leaves in the form of applications are successfully used for hematomas (hemorrhages) on the body due to injuries, with dislocations and sprains of the tendons.

It should be remembered that even despite the medicinal properties of wormwood, prolonged use of preparations based on it in large doses can lead to poisoning. Therefore, it is recommended to take significant (1-2 months) breaks between treatment courses.

Wormwood is contraindicated in cholelithiasis and pregnancy.

Pharmacological properties of the herb wormwood

Almost all parts of wormwood have healing properties: seeds, traa, non-lignified roots. Grass is harvested during flowering. Cut off leafy tops of shoots with flowers. The roots are harvested in the fall, while they are separated from the unused woody rhizome. Artemisia grass is dried in attics and other ventilated areas.

Infusions of herbs and roots of Chernobyl have antiseptic, antipyretic, analgesic, tonic, diaphoretic, antihelminthic, insecticidal action, improve appetite and activity of the gastrointestinal glands, have a calming effect on the nervous system, suppress convulsions, various colic. Pharmacological properties of wormwood are commonly used to normalize the sleep of the menstrual cycle, accelerate childbirth.

In folk medicine, decoctions and infusions of seeds, roots and herbs of wormwood are used as a sedative and hypnotic, as well as an anticonvulsant - for epilepsy, convulsions and paralysis. As an analgesic, they are recommended to be taken for colic, headache, toothache and other pains, for stomach cancer, inflammation and dropsy of the brain. For headaches, as well as for gout and rheumatism, poultices are made from grass.

Information about the property of Chernobyl to influence the female genital area in a certain way was preserved in conspiracies and herbalists. A decoction or infusion of its roots and herbs is widely used for menstrual disorders (amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea), as well as for inducing labor and uterine fibroids. In the old days, it was often used as an effective abortifacient.

Chernobyl herb infusion is used as an antispasmodic and antitussive for bronchial asthma, bronchitis, pulmonary tuberculosis and pneumonia. It is also recommended to drink to improve digestion, as an appetite stimulant and stomach tonic; as a general tonic and stimulant - for anemia, nervous depression and exhaustion; as a diaphoretic and anti-inflammatory - for fever and pneumonia, colds, laryngitis, laryngopharyngitis, cystitis, urethritis; as a diuretic, choleretic, anticancer and antihelminthic agent. Herbal baths are recommended for gout and colds. An infusion of wormwood herb is used to rinse the mouth with stomatitis and gingivitis, and wash long-term non-healing wounds and ulcers.

  • Essential oils;
  • Glycosides - absinthine and anabsinthine (give a bitter taste);
  • Flavonoids;
  • Phytoncides;
  • alkaloids;
  • Saponins.

All of the above substances determine the pharmacological action of wormwood, which will be discussed below.

Useful properties of bitter wormwood

Wormwood grass is known, first of all, for its characteristic bitterness. That is why wormwood is used for the manufacture of herbal preparations - those that stimulate the separation of bile and increase the activity of the secretory functions of the gastrointestinal tract. Bitter glycosides in the composition of the plant increase the excitability and reaction rate of neuroreceptors in the mucous membranes of the digestive tract, due to which the assimilation of food is faster and better.

But the pharmacological action of wormwood is not limited to this. It has the following effects on the body:

The range of application of wormwood herb is very wide. With her help treat such diseases., How:
