The second enemy of a healthy smile is citrus fruits. Lemons, grapefruits and oranges contain fruit acids that soften the outer shell of the tooth. With regular abuse of citruses, a person not only develops gastritis, but also thins the enamel. You don't have to cut out sources of vitamin C completely. It is enough to reduce the daily portion to 50–100 g, and after each use of grapefruit or lemon, rinse the mouth with homemade solution.

Some products destroy enamel, while others strengthen it. The second group includes:

  1. Kiwi. Green fruit also contains acids, but it is also rich in vitamin C. Exotic fruits increase the concentration of collagen in the gums and improve blood circulation. And so that kiwi does not harm the enamel, it is finely chopped and added to oatmeal. Porridge neutralizes fruit acids, but retains vitamin C.
  2. Hard cheese. Dairy products are sources of calcium. The mineral strengthens the enamel from the inside and stops its destruction. Hard cheeses have a minimum of salt. Products provide the body with calcium and phosphorus, normalize the microflora of the oral cavity, preventing the growth of bacteria.
  3. Celery and carrots. A person who chews hard vegetables produces a lot of saliva. It neutralizes microbes. Celery stalks, carrots, beets and cucumbers massage the gums, accelerating blood circulation. Teeth receive more nutrients. With weakened enamel, it is useful to chew hard vegetables, as well as eat salads from celery, carrots, apples and cottage cheese.
  4. Onion. The specific smell of the product scares away people with thin enamel, but they refuse in vain. A spicy vegetable is a source of phytoncides with antibacterial properties. Onion cleanses the oral cavity of germs and removes inflammation. The product is recommended to be added to salads or sandwiches. Folk recipes

Teeth with a yellow or gray tint are whitened with cloves. Spice, ground into powder, is applied to the gums. After 10 minutes, rinse the mouth with soda solution. It is prepared from 5 g of dry ingredient and a cup of boiled water. Cloves cause a slight burning sensation.

Disinfects and restores blood circulation in soft tissues with a mixture of garlic cloves and beets. Peeled vegetables are chopped in a blender. The gums are treated with a paste. You can rinse your mouth with beet-garlic juice. But the medicine must be diluted with water in a ratio of 1 to 1. For 100 g of beets, 10–15 g of garlic are taken.

Patients with hypersensitivity are advised to chew fresh wheatgrass leaves. Young stems disinfect the enamel, relieve inflammation of the gums and create an alkaline environment in the oral cavity in which all microbes die.

An alternative to wheatgrass is vegetable oil. Take 5 ml of an olive or linseed component, mix with a pinch of crushed salt. Large spice crystals are ground in a mortar. The smaller the diameter of the grains, the higher the effectiveness of the drug. The oil scrub is rubbed into the gums with fingers, the soft tissues are gently massaged for 10 minutes, and then the teeth are brushed and the mouth is rinsed with chamomile decoction. Salt medicine disinfects and accelerates blood circulation, protecting against caries and hypersensitivity.

Enamel, on which dark spots have appeared, is treated with a mixture of calamus and sage. Combine 15 g of dried herbs, steam with a glass of boiling water. Strained infusion is used instead of rinse aid. A piece of gauze is moistened in a drink of calamus and sage and applied to the teeth for 15 minutes. The herbal remedy kills bacteria and heals small wounds and cracks in the gums.

With inflammation in the oral cavity and hypersensitivity, it is recommended to prepare a tincture of 100 g of calamus roots and a glass of alcohol. The strength of alcohol is 40%. The components are mixed in a jar, a glass of filtered water is added. In another container, a cup of alcohol is combined with 20 g of grated propolis. Fill the mixture with distilled water.

Both tinctures are cleaned in a dark place, removed after 7 days. In a glass of water, mix 30 ml of calamus medicine and 15 ml of propolis remedy. Rinse the mouth with a solution for toothache, inflammation of the gums and thinning of the enamel. Tinctures are used before bedtime. The course of treatment lasts from 3 to 5 weeks.

Enamel restoration is a complex and lengthy process. Alternative methods help with minor changes: yellowing, hypersensitivity and dark plaque. If the enamel is too thin, and the teeth begin to crumble, the diet and fluoride pastes will not give the expected result. Only a dentist can restore a healthy and beautiful smile.
