  1. The taste of this dish depends on the marinade with which the fish will be soaked. It is advisable to use only high-quality products for its preparation: natural soy sauce, freshly picked honey. To prepare the marinade, use lemon juice, soy sauce and honey. Mix these ingredients. If the honey has thickened and does not mix well, heat it a little in a water bath until it becomes liquid.
  2. Dip the steaks in the prepared marinade and leave for at least half an hour. It is allowed to marinate the fish overnight, and bake in the oven in the morning.
  3. Place the marinated steaks in a refractory dish, pour the rest of the marinade on top. There is a risk that the honey will burn the fish, so it is recommended to cover the form with foil or parchment paper.
  4. Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Send the steaks in it for baking for 20 minutes. Open the oven door every 5-7 minutes and pour over the steaks with the juice that will drain from them.
  5. Finished steaks are sprinkled with finely chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Since such a recipe for roasting trout in the oven is considered an Asian dish, it is recommended to serve steaks with a rice side dish.

Trout with vegetables baked in the oven

You will need:

  • half a kilo of trout fillet;
  • a mixture of frozen vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, green peas, green beans, carrots, etc.) - 300 g;
  • large fresh tomato;
  • onion head;
  • one piece of red or yellow and green bell pepper;
  • a couple of cloves of garlic;
  • spices and olive oil;
  • soy sauce - 50 ml;
  • 35 ml lemon juice;
  • a teaspoon of honey;
  • sweet chili sauce - 15 ml.

Cooking sequence:

  1. In order for the trout to come out juicy and not have a bland taste, it must be marinated in a spicy marinade. To prepare it, soy sauce is mixed with lemon juice, honey, sweet chili sauce, a pinch of salt and one clove of garlic, passed through a press.
  2. The fish fillet is cut into portions, washed, dried and poured with the prepared marinade. Leave in the marinade for an hour.
  3. Fresh vegetables are cut into large pieces: tomatoes into eight parts, onions in half rings, bell peppers in rings, after removing the seeds from it.
  4. Frozen vegetables are left at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to thaw.
  5. A baking sheet with high sides is lightly greased with vegetable oil.
  6. Frozen ingredients, onions are spread evenly on the bottom. Sprinkle a little salt on top.
  7. Tomatoes and bell peppers are laid out on frozen vegetables, and a clove of garlic, cut into small slices, is sprinkled on top.
  8. The top layer of the dish is fish fillet. It is spread evenly on a vegetable pillow.
  9. The dish is cooked in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Fish with vegetables is cooked for about half an hour. Serve the finished fillet with baked vegetables, pouring a drop of lemon juice on top.

How many calories in baked trout

Trout can be safely called a dietary product. It is allowed to be used by all people who monitor their diet and are fighting overweight. The calorie content of fish ranges from 90 to 200 kcal. But even with such a high calorie content, it belongs to the products that help to lose weight. It contains a large amount of protein (about a third of the total nutritional value), useful for gaining muscle mass and fat burning. And the fat that this fish contains is not harmful to health and does not adversely affect the figure and body.

The calorie content of trout depends on the method of its preparation. The least high-calorie and healthy dish will come out if the fish is baked in the oven with fresh or frozen vegetables. With this method of cooking, it is not necessary to use additional fats in the form of vegetable or butter, which will positively affect the total calorie content of the dish. Nutritionists say that fish baked in the oven with vegetables contains about 120 calories.

Oven-baked trout or salmon according to my recipe with pickled onions will taste better than any fried fish dish! Lemon and oregano go well with fatty trout or salmon. Of course, ideally, in this recipe, use fresh live Norwegian trout, or chilled. But since the cold waters are far away, we will be content with a piece of frozen trout or salmon from the supermarket.

For the recipe for baked trout in the oven you will need:

Defrost a piece of frozen trout or salmon (it is convenient to cut into steaks not quite thawed fish). Or buy already cut fish.

Cut the onion in half, then into quarters and chop. Then she lightly salted it so that the juice stood out from it, sprinkled with lemon and mixed.

In my case, I removed the backbone of the trout, so my steak turned out to be cut in half.

I sprinkled them with sea salt and dried oregano.

In a deep baking dish I put a pillow from a piece of pickled onion in lemon juice, trout steaks on it. The trout was also sprinkled with onions on top.

and put it in the preheated oven to medium. Onions and trout give juice, so excess fat and liquid will not be needed. The temperature in the oven for baking trout is 200 degrees, the cooking time is 25-30 minutes.

5 minutes before the end of baking red fish, brush the trout and onion with vegetable oil using a cooking brush.
