4 stages of life. Four stages of life and death in Ayurveda

Number of life stages

It is often difficult for people to explain sudden changes in their affairs, sudden ups and downs when everything seems to be going smoothly.

Why does someone suddenly get tired of doing a job well done and, for no apparent reason, abandon it and take up a completely different kind of activity? Why does a successful person suddenly fail, while someone else, who has remained a failure for a long time, achieves recognition and power?

With the help of numbers, it is possible to predict future events, since prophecy, in essence, is the CALCULATION OF TIME, and time is expressed in numbers.

Life Stages (as well as Challenges) are reflected in the numerological position of the Birth Force. They are like precise road maps in that they indicate the main path that the individual must follow during the four main periods of his life. They reflect the direction of thoughts and actions in a certain period of time. This direction should be followed for the successful realization of the Destiny represented in the name given at birth. Life Stages indicate the direction of the productive use of talents and abilities from the moment of birth until the last days of life.

The Life Stages are very instructive. No one escapes the events indicated by them. They serve as accurate road signs for both the enlightened mystic and the common man. However, the mystic welcomes the steps to be taken in the future and makes them part of his glorious achievements. And an ordinary person calls them “fate”, “fate” or “predestination” and does not see the deep meaning of this experience.

First Life Stage falls in the spring of life and is very personal.

Second Life Stage falls on the heyday of life, the period of responsibility and the establishment of a family.

Third Life Stage falls on a mature age with a more deliberate position in life, when consciousness extends its activities to the area of national and international interests. This is the autumn of human life.

Fourth Life Stage falls on the sunset of life, the so-called old age, and it is associated with the social and spiritual well-being of mankind. This opens up a favorable opportunity to successfully use the experience gained in the past.

Rules for calculating life stages

* First Life Stage: sum up the day and month of birth.
* Second Life Stage: Sum the numbers of the day and year of birth.
* Third Life Stage: sum the values obtained (of the first and second Life Stages).
* Fourth Life Stage: Sum the dates of the month and year of birth.

Calculating the timing of life stages

You should always start with the number 36 (four times Nine).

1. Subtract from the number 36 the value of the Force of Birth. This gives us the length of the first Life Stage and the age at which it ends. (It is always the value of the Force of Birth that is subtracted from the number 36.)
2. Add Nine years to the completion time of the first Life Stage. During this period of time, the second Life Stage lasts.
3. Add Nine years to the completion time of the second Life Stage. During these nine years, the third Life Stage will leave its mark on life.

From the time of completion of the third Life Stage until the end of life, the fourth Life Stage will govern affairs.

These are the rules for determining the time limits of the Life Stages - for everyone.

Description of life stages

Life Stage 1 (Unit)

This is the number of individuality, leadership and leadership, therefore, appearing in the meaning of the Life Stage, it encourages a person to get on his feet and slowly move forward. In the meaning of the first Life Stage, the One often indicates a difficult period, because in youth a person is not yet ready to energetically and enterprisingly follow the path of life and difficulties that contribute to the development of leadership abilities can scare him away. Sometimes, trying to understand the forces at work in the world, a young man or girl may resist the current, be self-willed, difficult to manage, show selfishness and self-conceit. Others may not understand them until, through careful analysis of the name, the right direction for the development of their talents is chosen. In the meaning of the second and third Life Stages, the One indicates the ability to act, dare and use one's own ideas. In the meaning of any Life Stage, the number 1 pushes a person to boldly go through life, think and act independently; on the part of women, this is often unexpected. At the same time, there is an opportunity to move forward and develop their own, often unforeseen talents. In the meaning of the last Life Stage, the One also indicates a strong-willed period and may be a chance to realize ideas or desires that arose in previous Life Stages, for which there was not enough time before. There is an opportunity to stand out, lead some work or stand at the head of a project. This is a difficult period in life, for courage, willpower and determination are required here to find a proper place in earthly affairs.

Life Stage 2 (Deuce)

This is the number of partnerships, associations and unions. It brings people together to work together and speaks of the participation of the individual in the affairs of those around him, both at home and in business. Independence is out of place here, as the best results are achieved through harmonious cooperation with others. During this period, the ability to get along with others and work together with them without undue interference in their lives is tested. Sometimes in a Life Stage with a value of 2, a person has to learn patience, cooperation, complicity and consideration.

In the case of the first Life Stage, the young person may appear overly sensitive and weak of character. Avoiding any situation will not achieve anything; parents will need to establish proper contact with the teenager, provide a good education, carefully study his talents and abilities, and help him understand life, people and himself. To force a child or not to understand the forces acting at this time means to cause the appearance of complexes, extreme sensitivity, or just the opposite - reckless aggressiveness.

At all Life Stages with Twos, it is best to work in collaboration with a large number of people, affecting social and cultural interests. Often there is a tendency to statistics, attention to detail, patient thoroughness, accuracy and accuracy. This is true for all Life Stages with a value of 2, as the best results are achieved through friendly and interesting collaboration at work. There may be complications in partnerships, associations and relationships with friends. The absence of a spirit of genuine cooperation is fraught with such trials as resentment against others, divorce and separation.

On a Life Stage value of 2, the person himself must also be honest in all his dealings and beware of offending others. When the Life Stage falls on (11) 2, there may be an unexpected break in cooperation and a lesson to be learned regarding spiritual thinking and faith. Even men, because of the grievances received in partnership or love and marriage, turn to religion, philosophical and spiritual thinking.

What seems like a big change in life almost always ends well, because it helps to better understand yourself and the rights of others. The reward is provided by subtle technical or unusual activities.

Life Stage 3 (Three)

Three is the number of inspiration, creativity and artistic taste. It provides an opportunity for greater self-expression in all periods of life.

This is an easy Life Stage, as the undertakings are not physical in nature, but involve the imagination and the senses. Here you can prove yourself as a writer or speaker, in theater, design and illustration, or as an author of creative ideas in both business and art.

This is a time of outpouring of feelings, allowing you to enjoy all the joys of being, because life in this period is more attractive financially and easier. When a Three falls on the first Life Stage, there is always an opportunity to excel in the arts, but very often young people show no interest in hard work and want to enjoy life without putting in too much practical effort. If, while there is still time, talents are not directed in the proper direction, one can miss the first Life Stage ineptly and later regret it. An art-related education is recommended here, even if it is not ultimately career-determining. In the meaning of the second and third Life Stages, the Three can be a blessing, giving more than at any other time, the opportunity to develop their talents and their own ideas. However, extravagant and frivolous expression of emotions and feelings can lead to so many troubles that it will require the help of others to get a person out of trouble. Often there is an eternal triangle, and friends, although they try to help, can lead astray.

There may be financial losses due to the influence of rhetoricians and petitioners appealing to emotionality. To keep the love, friendship and money you deserve, control over your emotions is required even in the case of the last Life Stage. Women in particular often make mistakes and lose money in the affairs of the heart. During the last Life Stage with a value of 3, a person is entitled to the joys and pleasures of life, but a special effort must also be made to be useful, inspiring and creating.

Life Stage 4 (Four)

This is the number of order, system, diligence, practical thinking and effort. The Four is a serious worker who wants to achieve concrete results.

She always plays the role of a steward and builder who places facts and ideas in their proper order and thereby receives tangible fruits of her labor. When the Four appears in the meaning of the first Life Stage, the young man listens to serious and practical ideas, and often because of the practical need to find a job, he begins his working life early. The work usually done in a 4 Life Stage lays a good foundation for the future, even if it requires hard work and many economic problems.

Very often, at any Life Stage in order with a value of 4, the burden of responsibility for the family and relatives falls on a person. He is forced to work hard, manage something and organize something in order to get certain results. But often this time turns out to be a very good period of life, when you can give shape to ideas and plans that have been nurtured for many years. In a Life Stage of 4, anyone who is unwilling to face the practical facts of life will find that economic management is indispensable.

In the case of the fourth Life Stage, this may be the first opportunity to work seriously and worthily, organize and get results. However, for someone who has not matured in thoughts and actions during the previous Life Stages, such a fourth period of life will be difficult, including in material terms. Many people have achieved a lot in their twilight years, even if it was just a hobby. The appearance of the Four in the meaning of any Life Stage indicates that the time has come to get down to business. The reward will come through diligence, the effort to achieve tangible results, and the continuation of the work to its completion, regardless of the practical problems that arise.

Life Stage 5 (Five)

In the meaning of any Life Stage, Five represents activity, social life and surprises. It never denotes permanent conditions, but indicates an interesting, eventful life with the ability to freely change places, make changes and take part in what is happening in the world. On the other hand, depending on the type of individual, a Life Stage of 5 can be a period of anxiety, uncertainty, and constant change. In the case of the first Life Stage, the young man tends to be restless.

He lacks diligence and switches abruptly from one to the other without waiting for his work or effort to be rewarded. However, considerable experience is gained here, which turns out to be very useful in later life, since it helps to take into account the changing progressive social interests of mankind.

Five, if taken in the proper spirit, means progress and development in the meaning of any Life Stage; but sometimes it represents financial uncertainty - sometimes a steady income, sometimes uncertainty about the future; however, at the right time, when there really is a need for money, they certainly appear. At any Life Stage, the Five provides an opportunity to deal with public affairs, legal matters, advertising and administration. Family or domestic life is not characteristic of her, since desire or necessity pushes even women to engage in any social activity.

In the meaning of the second or third Life Stage, it represents a period of great freedom, especially if it follows a Six or Four. This period can be very interesting and happy. Five requires the ability to adapt to new friends, new activities and new contacts. Quarrels and legal issues can cause problems and dissatisfaction; in the case of any Life Stage with a value of 5, it is important to make sure that all legal undertakings are undertaken without haste and with full understanding of them.

At the last Life Stage, the Five again represents freedom and an active life, but does not promise retirement. It requires the effort to take part in progressive enterprises and to help others understand what is happening to them. Even with an active lifestyle, try to keep some roots. When sudden changes occur or impatience becomes more and more worrying, avoid hasty impulsive actions.

Life Stage 6 (Six)

This number in the meaning of any Life Stage indicates duty and responsibility towards the family. In addition, it provides an opportunity to engage in useful humanitarian activities, help the needy, teach, heal and give comfort to many people both young and old. In any Life Stage with a value of 6, time is used for productive work, as there is an opportunity to earn money and live a happy life. It is inappropriate to be concerned only with one's own thoughts, interests or plans.

In many cases, attention has to be paid to love affairs, household problems and children, and to deal with issues of property and inheritance. There is an opportunity to earn good money. There may be financially expensive problems related to the health of relatives and friends; but by helping at home and out of it, you can achieve a lot and be useful in life. In the meaning of the first Life Stage, the Six indicates duty to the home and often early marriage or responsibility for parents, brothers or sisters. She provides love and protection thanks to a family with a fairly good financial situation. Sometimes a young person in the first Life Stage with a value of 6 should be advised not to marry too soon, because the debt of the first Life Stage can stretch for a lifetime if there are no Life Stages with a value of 5 or 7 ahead.

During any Life Stage, the Six represents duty and responsibility, which, if recognized, can bring generous rewards, satisfaction, and financial success. For the last Life Stage, debt can be truly rewarding, crowning life, and rewarding for a job well done in the past. If a person has not yet found a life partner, then at a Life Stage with a value of 6, he can find his love and get married.

Six does not indicate a lonely or useless old age. If during a previous life a person has not gained wisdom and a true sense of service, he can devote his last days to family, looking after children and caring for people he loves, without needing personal freedom. The problems of children, family, money, marriage, divorce and home life color all Life Stages with a value of 6 and are solved through love, devotion and humanitarian service.

Life Stage 7 (Seven)

This number in the meaning of any Life Stage indicates the period of development of the soul. The seven represents a very individualized force. It symbolizes the knowledge and understanding of the deepest vital forces - that which does not lie on the surface. In the case of a Life Stage with a value of 7, it is necessary to engage in one's own education, science and specialization of talents for their extraordinary use and gaining recognition.

Seven is the number of perfection, and it demands all the best, but it is also distinguished by pride, selectivity and a certain isolation. When at any Life Stage a person falls under the influence of the Seven, he becomes less concerned about worldly affairs and more interested in studying the essence of things, he wants to be left alone, and ultimately in his own development he is ahead of his old acquaintances.

If the 7 Life Stage is misunderstood, its introverted nature can lead a person to withdraw into themselves and feel overwhelmed, causing problems in family and personal relationships with others. Attacks of a bad mood appear, complexes develop that interfere with understanding what life is. Even if at times there will not be enough money and not everything will turn out the way you want, in the end knowledge and skills will bring success and wealth.

Often in a Life Stage with a value of 7, a person is overcome by impatience and it seems to him that “the grass is greener” elsewhere. Change leads to a lack of tangible gains. Instead, seek knowledge and improve your education. In the case of the first Life Stage, the Seven very often means the presence of some kind of deterrent. It could be a lack of money for education, very strict parents, or poor health. Wise parents will ensure that the child receives a proper education, take care of his proper nutrition and health, will be more understanding in his upbringing and use less restrictive measures. Seven contributes to financial well-being, so you should never lose your temper and faith if there is not enough money. Patience, thoroughness and knowledge help to achieve the necessary. In the meaning of any Life Stage, the Seven demands the truth and the right way of life. During such a period there can be no deception or excuses.

Seven knows how to find out the truth about themselves and about others. She can be cold and aloof, more interested in learning and work than in normal worldly affairs, which leads to difficulties and problems in marriage and partnerships. But with the development of intelligence, the accumulation of knowledge and the achievement of understanding, the Life Stage with a value of 7 promises worthy rewards and the ability to achieve what you want, even love. During the period of influence of the Seven, communicate with people who are interested in the educational, scientific and cultural facets of life.

Life Stage 8 (Eight)

This is the number of strength, courage, ambition, power and enterprise. It symbolizes achievements through efforts that require intelligence, the ability to evaluate, understanding people, efficiency and good management. There is an opportunity for diverse activities of a progressive nature and gaining recognition.

In a Life Stage with a value of 8, both men and women find themselves in charge of business ventures, managing property, or engaging in professional activities whose success depends on sustained and repeated efforts. Such a Life Stage cannot be called easy, because it does not tolerate weakness or attempts to get away from the current situation, it requires intelligence and diligence. Life Stage with a value of 8 promises recognition and power, the acquisition of real estate and property, the achievement of outstanding success. However, the costs are also high, so careful organization of affairs and budget planning are necessary. It often costs a lot to keep running a business. In the first Life Stage, young people, as in the case of the Four, start early in the workforce and can get off to a good start in their careers, but they are often forced to earn a livelihood for family or relatives.

In any Life Stage with a value of 8, you should not rely on luck. Reasoning and understanding of people are necessary. Misplaced trust in others causes many problems and frustrations. Friendship and support is provided by interest in public organizations. The study of philosophy contributes to the acquaintance with important people. Any Life Stage with a value of 8 provides the opportunity to become a very influential person, you just need to spare no effort. Lead your work with your mind, not your feelings.

Life Stage 9 (Nine)

This number represents the drama and color of life, beauty, art and philanthropy. At a Life Stage with a value of 9, a person is required to have great tolerance, sympathy and that warm power of love that inspires and elevates more than personal love. As a rule, if you do not have these features of character and thinking, it is not easy to meet the requirements of such a Life Stage. In our modern world of stress and tension, it is difficult to consistently show tolerance and love. By the time the Life Stage 9 is completed, the lessons of tolerance and compassion will have been learned, otherwise a great disappointment awaits the person.

Nine is less about the individual and more about civilization, all people and all religions. A good chance to succeed and make money is provided by activities related to business, art or philanthropy. If you adhere to the principles of the Nine, the reward will be travel and a life full of impressions.

When personal desires and interests are pursued, and other people are ignored, a Life Stage with a value of 9 can be very unpleasant, which should not be. Aim high, strive for the best and most useful for all mankind.

Within the framework of the first Life Stage, the completion of a love affair, marriage, or some kind of activity is possible. They are left behind with some sadness or regret. On the other hand, such completion can be a blessing, since it removes from life or brings to its logical conclusion that which is no longer required for the development of the individual. What seems lost must be forgotten, since the Nine will always offer something better and with greater returns if the thoughts and feelings of a person are aimed at the brotherhood of man and philanthropy. You can make and lose money and just as easily make it again.

Nine, testing the character for sympathy, tolerance and warm gratitude to the higher forces of life, at the same time helps the individual in every possible way and rewards him. In the periods following the first, it provides an excellent opportunity to achieve very much in the world, engaging in activities related to the use of selected talents. Life Stage 9 is not a stage of life that can be ignored if you want to overcome disappointments and be rewarded with the best. During the second and third periods, many events of an emotional nature are expected, contributing to the development of cordiality and idealism. Narrowness of sight remains unrewarded. Selfishness and desire for personal love alone is not enough. Forget about yourself and grow spiritually. Bring tolerance to all your undertakings, and true love will come to you.

Hello, dear readers of the blog site. A person is born and, whether we like it or not, dies. People live the interval between birth and disappearance in different ways: for someone it can be long, rich, or, conversely, short and boring.

There are many variations. But in any case, each of us at least once asked the question “what is life?”. Why do we live, what is the meaning of this event? Or maybe it doesn't exist at all?

The definitions of life are things that can't be

Figures from various scientific and non-scientific fields have tried to define the concept of life. For example:

4 main stages of human life

What is life in the context of human existence? Many are looking for the meaning of their stay on planet Earth, and not finding it, they become discouraged.

Or it happens that you seem to have found him - here he is, just reach out your hand! But you can’t get it, your hands are short - and why then live?

In fact, not everything is so sad if you know at least the approximate structure of life, its stages. Having ready-made instructions on hand and being ready for future events, going is much more fun.

Human life consists of 4 stages:

  1. Stage of imitation (lasts up to 18 years): the child is born helpless. He does not know and does not know how - a blank sheet, on which a certain pattern will appear in the future. What it will be, no one knows.

It depends on many circumstances - starting from who his parents are, and who will accompany him all his life.

Gradually, the baby learns to walk, talk, absorbs, adapts among people. All this comes into his life through imitation, the purpose of which is to become an adult, independent person ().

But it happens that physically an individual grows up, but continues to imitate others, depend on their opinion and try to please.
  2. Self-knowledge stage (up to 25-35 years old) is to find your difference from others. Who am I? And how do I differ from the main mass of people? Why am I just me and not someone else?

At this stage, a person acts a lot, experiments, and, of course, makes mistakes in trying to isolate his unique nature. We stumble upon our own prohibitions, instilled in us at the first stage: some of them break, new ones are born.

We learn to hear ourselves and our true desires, casting aside everything unnecessary and preserving the valuable. We find our weak and strong points, trying to strengthen the first and develop the second as much as possible.

You can get stuck here if you don’t learn to admit your weaknesses, mistakes and don’t get rid of blind faith in what you want, but unreal.
  3. Accomplishment stage (from 40 years old to tired old age)- by this moment a person knows himself well, he is honest with himself, and therefore ceases to dream of unrealizable dreams and be in illusions.

Next to him there are no more friends who only seemed like that, unloved spouses, hated work and everything else that only pulled down and did not cause much joy.

You know who you are and what you do best. Therefore, this is the very time when people begin to actively reveal their potential and self-actualize. Perhaps you will come up with something new and ingenious, or maybe you will understand that your destiny is simply to be a good parent. Everything is purely.

Stuck at this stage occurs if a person could not.
  4. The last stage of life is called heritage (after 60-70 years). This is the period when people look back, analyze its contents, evaluate their efforts and life baggage. Physical and energy health no longer allow you to go only forward and create new global goals.

This period is very important from a psychological point of view. If a person is satisfied with how she lived most of the time allotted to her, then she is not afraid to leave. A sense of accomplishment and a life lived not in vain soothe anxiety before an inevitable end.

Otherwise, a person will suffer and regret the wasted years. This happens for the reason that we consciously or not are looking for some kind of meaning in our existence, which we strive to translate into reality.

Each of us thinks about the meaning of life, about where to move on and what hinders this movement.

Businessman and blogger Mark Manson spoke about 4 stages into which our lives are divided. This information will help you understand many issues.

Stage 1. Mimicry

A child is born helpless, he gradually learns to recognize the world around and imitates adults, then improves social skills and eventually becomes part of a common culture, accepts the norms and rules of society.

The main goal of this stage is to get to know society, learn to interact with it, while developing a self-sufficient personality with its own individual characteristics.

Adults should help in this development, but this is not always the case. Often we are scolded for independence, do not want to support our decisions, and as a result we cannot learn independence. Because of this, many are delayed with the transition to the next stage.

The first stage should end in adolescence, but many linger in it until the age of 35-40, without realizing it. Excessive guardianship or strictness of parents does not allow our own personality, independence and independence to form. Of course, everyone should behave in accordance with generally accepted norms of behavior, but sometimes it is necessary to show courage and do something contrary to accepted standards and expectations, if we feel that it is really necessary.

Stage 2. Self-knowledge

At the first stage, a person must learn to interact with the society and culture in which he lives. The second stage we must dedicate to self-awareness - the understanding of how and why we differ from others. This is the stage of making decisions and passing tests, as a result of which we must realize ourselves as a unique person.

At this stage, trial and error, experiments in finding the right path are acceptable. To do this, we must travel, communicate with many different people, learn about other cultures, try different social roles. Of course, each person will go through this stage in their own way.

The main task of the second stage is continuous self-knowledge.

At this stage, you need to try different things, with success or failure. So we gain experience and gradually understand what we like and where to move on.

This stage lasts until you begin to set certain limits for yourself. It must be a conscious process. A person begins to weed out unnecessary contacts, to choose communication only with people of interest to him. He realizes that good advice cannot be heard from TV screens or from other people's lips, because none of these people know you and your situation.

A person consciously sets limits for himself, chooses a certain job, diet, lifestyle with useful or bad habits. These restrictions help to eventually understand that past mistakes cannot be repeated all the time, that life is not endless and that it is necessary to prioritize as early as possible.

At this stage, it is important to understand that if you can do something, then it is not necessary to do it.

A person must take responsibility for his life, realize the consequences of his bad and good actions in the future. For example, how certain habits are detrimental to your life, what character traits need to be developed, what shortcomings to correct, etc.

If you don’t realize this and don’t set limits for yourself, you can live in self-deception for more than a dozen years, being afraid to admit your failures and get stuck at this stage for a long time. Such people cannot start earning well or start a family for years, because they are always waiting for something better to appear tomorrow. Instead of realizing their shortcomings, they practice positive thinking.

It is important to understand that not all dreams and plans come true, but we need to move forward, because we have one life, and there will be no second chance to live it.

This stage usually takes place between 20-22 and 32-35 years.

All those who are stuck in the second stage spend most of their lives convincing themselves of the limitlessness of their possibilities, that someday they will overcome all obstacles. However, from the height of the third stage, it becomes clear that these people are running in place, moving absolutely nowhere. As a result, by the age of 40, they continue to wait for a miracle, long and unsuccessfully looking for themselves, as if stuck in adolescence.

Stage 3. Commitment

The person has already become aware of his habits and set limits. Having set the necessary priorities, we understand that it is impossible to do everything, and we make a choice in favor of activities that are really important or will not bring negative consequences.

This stage is the time of consolidation of forces to achieve success. You stop communicating with some old friends with whom, apart from habit, there is nothing in common anymore, you give up useless hobbies, you forget old “naive” dreams. Instead, you're throwing twice as much effort into development in areas where you've already been successful. You become an expert at a job you know intimately, and you are ready to develop the relationships that really matter in your life.

This stage is the stage of unification of internal forces. No whining, just important results. You need to leave your mark on life.

This step ends if:

1. You feel that you will not have time to realize all your youthful plans.

2. You are experiencing physical limitations. For example, you quickly get tired and feel that it has become harder to work at the same pace and you want more rest.

The third stage normally lasts from 32-35 to retirement age.

Those stuck at this stage for a long time cannot let go of their previous ambitions and realize that there is no longer enough time and energy to realize them. They can continue to work hard until the age of 70-80, without allowing themselves a calm old age.

Stage 4. Legacy

This stage is reached by those who have spent a lot of time to achieve all the goals. Now they can calmly realize that they are unable to move on, that they have done enough. They have a home, family and rich life experience.

The purpose of this stage is to realize that you will leave behind something important, that you have not wasted your life and your legacy has been the result of efforts.

Perhaps you raised good children or did a lot for the development of the company. Now you can relax and just enjoy life.

This stage is very important psychologically. A person feels the approach of the final stage of life. It is very important to understand that life was not lived in vain, there are its results and experience.

What is the meaning of the different stages?

Moving on to each subsequent stage, a person becomes happier and more prosperous. For example, at stage 2, many are busy with a career, chasing earnings and status. At this time, it is hard to relax and feel happy. Going to stage 3, emotions and aspirations become more stable: you have already built a certain foundation, now you can enjoy life more often. The last stage - awareness of the fruits of your labor allows you to get satisfaction from your life.

Each next stage is a transition to a brighter feeling of happiness, which does not depend on the outside world.

It should be noted that the transition from stage to stage is never abrupt. At intermediate stages, there is a change of priorities, you can lose what was important to you before. And that's okay. If your friends stubbornly refuse to move to stage 3, and you have already managed to do this, then communication with them will come to an end by itself, because your priorities and aspirations are already different. This is development. And sometimes it can be stimulated by some negative events in life.

What hinders development and transition to the next stage?

Going to the next stage is always prevented by a feeling of inferiority, dissatisfaction with the result.

At the first stage, it is not always possible to please everyone, although this is very desirable. At the second stage, it sometimes seems that there are too few impressions in life, that others have much more of them. At the third, there may seem little influence or success, it seems that something more needs to be done.

What is the secret to moving to the next stage?

Try to realize what is the necessary result of the current stage in order to move on to the next one. At the first stage, it is important to understand that it is impossible to please everyone; on the second - stop living in dreams and prioritize, highlighting the most important; on the third - to realize that there are not so many forces anymore and it is necessary to slow down, give others the opportunity to grow and give them advice; to move to stage 4 - to understand that change is inevitable and that you have already achieved a lot, and the results of your life will live on in your business, in your children and grandchildren.

Remember, life goes on. And it depends only on you whether you will continue to stand still or successfully step forward.

STAGES OF LIFE IN HINDUISM. Classic. FOUR STAGES OF LIFE
Aryan society was based, firstly, on the division into estates, or varnas *, and secondly, on the idea of periods (or ashrams) into which the life of each person should be divided. The Aryan society consisted of four estates, and the life of each Aryan was divided into four stages.

higher The other varnas differed from the lower ones in the rite of passage (upanayana). It was performed when the boy was 8-12 years old. It was impossible to avoid initiation: without this, the path to varna, and later to the caste and the community, was closed. The rite included several procedures, and the main among them was the presentation of the sacred thread, which from that moment had to be worn constantly.

BRAHMACHARIN.Those who passed the initiation ceremony were called "dvija", i.e. twice born. From that moment, the stage of apprenticeship began, a person became a brahmacharin. This period of life was recommended to pass in the house of a spiritual mentor - a guru. Under his guidance, the student studied the sacred texts and learned the rules of good and correct (i.e. prescribed by tradition) behavior. He had to learn the forms of greeting elders accepted in his caste and the forms of answering greetings, the forms of addressing elders and younger, women of different social strata, relatives, various officials. It was important to learn everything correctly and not confuse anything: even the simplest question about health contained a catch, because depending on the caste, different expressions had to be chosen for the word “health”.
The student had to perform regular ablutions, libations of water to the gods and bring fuel for the hearth. Brahmins were trained mainly in the performance of priestly duties, kshatriyas in the possession of weapons, vaishyas in the profession that was considered hereditary in their family.

The duration of training varied; some texts even speak of 48 years. But, as a rule, training was completed by the age of 16.

GRHASTHA. Having completed the period of apprenticeship, the young man returned home (unless he studied at home), By this time he had reached physical and spiritual maturity and was ready to fulfill family responsibilities. In his life, the second stage began - the householder (grihastha). Now he had to take care, first of all, of the continuation of the family, the maintenance of the family and the upbringing of children.
The young man got married. And to this day in India, it is arranged by the parents of the bride and groom after lengthy negotiations and advice with astrologers. At the same time, the rules that take into account the degree of kinship and caste must be strictly observed. There were many restrictions that made marriage impossible,
Ancient texts list eight types of marriage, named after gods and other supernatural beings: with the payment of a bride price by the groom and without payment, with abduction, marriage of mutual love without any material obligations, etc. The most virtuous a marriage was considered, which was entered into by parties equal in varna. It was called the name of the supreme deity Brahma.
Marriages were consecrated with magnificent, complex and costly rites, which, in general terms, are preserved to this day. One of the most important marriage ceremonies was the kindling of a sacred fire, with the help of which the householder subsequently had to perform household rituals, perform sacrifices, and cook food with it. He was also instructed to perform five “great sacrifices” daily: to Brahma by reading the Vedas, to the ancestors by water and food, to the gods by pouring purified cow butter on the fire, to spirits by scattering leftover food, and, finally, to people by hospitality.

VANAPRASTHA- Having fulfilled his civic duty, having lived to gray hair and "waiting for the children of his children", i.e. grandchildren, a twice-born could leave worldly life and retire to the forest, becoming a hermit (vanaprastha). During this period of his life, he should be cleansed of all filth and sins, indulge in pious reflections, pacify mortal flesh and fulfill religious prescriptions. He could settle in a small hut and live on offerings from the surrounding villagers. So it was prescribed to spend the third period of life.

SANNYASIN. Before his death, having renounced everything earthly, the hermit left his forest abode and became a homeless wanderer (sannyasin). He needed nothing but a shabby rag, a staff, and a begging bowl. He lived, waiting for death, "like a servant of a salary."

The law of the four ashrams correlated with the main life goals. At the first stage (apprenticeship), the leading goal was dharma - moral duty, obligation, virtue. The householder followed the principles of artha, i.e., activities aimed at achieving material well-being, power, etc., as well as kama, love and pleasure. In the last stages of life, moksha, spiritual liberation from samsaric existence, became the main goal.
A preferred reading circle was also offered for each period; for disciples, the Vedas*, for householders, the Brahmins*, for the forest hermits, the Aranyakas, and for ascetic sannyasins, the Upanishads*. Each ashram corresponded to a certain type of activity and a particular type of behavior. The disciple, for example, was charged with the obligation to do everything useful for the guru. The Laws of Manu gave detailed instructions on the rules of conduct: “In the presence of the guru, one should always eat less than him, wear worse clothes and jewelry, it is supposed to get out of bed earlier and go to bed later. You can neither answer nor talk to him while lying down, sitting, eating, standing or turning away. One must stand when the guru is sitting, approach when he is standing, go towards the one approaching, run after the one who is running.
The fourfold law was a kind of ideal setting, it had to be followed by all members of the higher castes. But in real life, deviations from it were not uncommon. Most of the twice-born were satisfied with the position of the householder and postponed the attainment of higher bliss until the next, happier births. At the same time, many hermits and ascetics of ancient India were not old people, because they reduced or completely skipped the stage of the householder.
