Anti sore throat from what. Detailed instructions for using anti-angina

The medicine "Antiangin", as indicated in the instructions for use, copes well with infectious and inflammatory processes developing in the mouth and throat. In order for the tablets to bring only benefit, it is necessary to follow the recommended dosage, take into account side effects and contraindications, as well as other instructions and recommendations.

The antiseptic "Antiangin" copes with inflammation that appears in the mouth and larynx, stops the spread of bacteria and eliminates pain. Begins to act from the first minutes of use:

  • The antiseptic and antibacterial component in the drug is chlorhexidine diacetate. The substance quickly penetrates the site of inflammation, reducing unpleasant symptoms.
  • A component such as tetracaine hydrochloride has an anesthetic property. Thanks to this substance, pain is reduced, the feeling of tingling, stiffness and dryness disappears.
  • The composition includes ascorbic acid, which provides the body with vitamin C. Immunity increases, and the body begins to actively resist infection.

The cost of tablets and lozenges is from 100 to 200 rubles. The price depends on the number of tablets in the package. The cost of the drug in the form of a spray is slightly higher and amounts to 250 rubles.

Release form

The drug is produced in three forms, which differ in auxiliary components, method of application and age restrictions:

  1. Pastilles with mint flavor. The shape of the red-pink lozenges is round with a rough surface. One package can contain 12 or 24 lozenges.
  2. Slow dissolving tablets are pale or bright pink in color.
  3. The spray is available in the form of a solution with a mint scent.

Any form of the drug helps cope with the symptoms of an inflammatory disease, fights its pathogens, and activates the body's defense mechanisms.

pharmachologic effect

"Antiangin" contains components that can have the following effects on the pathological focus:

  • stops the development of inflammation;
  • disinfects the surface;
  • stops the spread of infection;
  • destroys pathogenic bacteria;
  • has analgesic properties;
  • activates local protective functions;
  • helps restore damaged mucous surfaces.

The components of the product remain not only on the mucous surface, but also penetrate into the deeper tissues of the inflammatory focus. Thanks to this property, recovery occurs faster, provided that other groups of drugs are used.

Indications for use

Tablets are used in case of the development of the following diseases:

  • inflammatory processes occurring in the mucous surface of the pharynx and lymph nodes (with pharyngitis);
  • infectious and inflammatory diseases affecting the tonsils (effective use at the first sign of tonsillitis);
  • damage to the oral mucosa by bacteria or fungi with the appearance of ulcers (stomatitis);
  • inflammatory processes affecting the gums (gingivitis).

The drug "Antiangin" is prescribed after surgery in the throat and larynx, as well as after tooth extraction.

Contraindications and side effects

Contraindications to taking the drug are:

  • allergy to the constituent components;
  • age limit for tablets is 5 years and 10 years for spray;
  • diabetes;
  • first three months of pregnancy;
  • lactation period;
  • fructose intolerance.

The drug is prescribed with caution for severe liver pathologies and low hemoglobin.

During treatment, side effects rarely develop, most often due to overdose. Undesirable reactions appear in the form of an itchy rash and redness on the skin, nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, weakness, irritability.

Prolonged or too frequent use of the medicine negatively affects the condition of tooth enamel. Using the medicine for more than six days leads to negative changes in the microflora of the oral cavity.

Interaction with other drugs

When Antiangina interacts with certain groups of medications, a decrease or increase in the therapeutic effect on the body may occur:

  • The components of "Antiangina" reduce the activity of antibacterial drugs containing sulfonamides and aminosalicylic acid.
  • The risk of side effects increases when taking drugs containing iodine (for example, Lugol or Povidone-iodine).
  • Vasoconstrictors increase the duration of action of “Antiangina” and reduce the toxicity of the incoming components.
  • Ascorbic acid, which is part of Antiangin, increases the concentration of tetracyclines and penicillin in the blood.
  • "Antiangin" improves the absorption of medications containing iron in the intestines.
  • The effectiveness of chlorhexidine decreases when taking drugs that contain calcium, sucrose, and zinc.

The simultaneous use of Antiangin with other drugs may cause adverse reactions or reduce the results of treatment. It is important to tell your doctor about any medications you are taking.

Overdose

  • the patient experiences nausea and even vomiting;
  • dizziness and headaches occur;
  • breathing is impaired;
  • the skin turns pale;
  • weakness, drowsiness.

If one of the listed symptoms occurs, you must stop taking the pills. Be sure to rinse your stomach and take antihistamines and laxatives.

Taking the drug

Each form of the drug has its own rules of use, which are described in detail in the instructions for use:

  • The spray is prescribed to adults and children over 10 years of age. The spray can be injected up to 6 times a day. While injecting the solution, you must hold your breath. Do not inhale the spray. Since the spray contains ethanol, the drug cannot be used 40 minutes before driving.
  • Tablets and lozenges are approved for use from 6 years of age.

You cannot independently make changes to the drug treatment regimen (change the dosage, stop or increase the course of treatment). Improvement in the condition should be noticeable already on the third day.

After injection or resorption of the medicine, you should not drink or eat for 40 minutes. This will allow all active components to be fully activated.

Taking pills

The tablets are designed to dissolve slowly. Keep the tablet in the mouth (preferably under the tongue) until completely dissolved. Adult patients are allowed to dissolve the drug every two hours. The dosage should not exceed six tablets per day.

Taking lozenges

Anti-angina lozenges also need to be dissolved slowly. You cannot chew them or swallow them whole. After complete dissolution, you should not eat or drink water for 40 minutes. Adults are prescribed 6 lozenges per day, which are dissolved at intervals of two hours.

Treatment therapy should continue for no more than five days. If on the third day of treatment the intensity of symptoms does not subside, you should consult a doctor. He will decide to replace the drug with another drug.

For children

Antiangin tablets and lozenges are contraindicated in children under 5 years of age. The solution, produced in a bottle with a spray dispenser, is allowed to be used only after 10 years:

  • Patients over 5 years of age are allowed to give the medicine no more than three times per dose. The interval between taking the drug should be 4.5 hours.
  • For children over 10 years of age, the acceptable daily dosage is 4 tablets, which are dissolved every 3.5 hours. The medicine in the form of a spray can be injected up to 4 times a day, making one or two presses on the nozzle valve.

The course of treatment is five days. While using the drug, you need to carefully monitor the child's condition; if nausea, dizziness, rash on the body, upset stool and other alarming symptoms appear, treatment with this drug is stopped.

During pregnancy

The components of the drug "Antiangin" can harm the development of the fetus, so use is prohibited in the first trimester of pregnancy.

From the fourth month of pregnancy, tablets are approved for use, but only in extreme cases. Three tablets are allowed per day.

Analogs

Analogues of the drug "Antiangin" include: "Tonsipret", "Chlorophyllipt", "Tantum Verde", "Hexoral", "Gramicidin", "Faringosept", "Septolete". All of these drugs act almost identically, but you cannot decide on a replacement on your own.

PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT:

The antibacterial effect of chlorhexidine is due to nonspecific binding to phospholipids of bacterial cell membranes. Chlorhexidine can have a bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect, mainly against gram-positive bacteria and Candidaalbicans, and to a lesser extent, against gram-negative bacteria. Chlorhexidine is particularly active against Streptococcusmutans, Streptococcussalivarius, Escherichiacoli, Selenomonasspp. and anaerobic bacteria. The drug is significantly less effective against such types of microorganisms as Streptococcussanguis, Proteus, Pseudomonas, Klebsiellaveillonella.

The anesthetic tetracaine has a local anesthetic effect.

Ascorbic acid is a cofactor in the process of collagen synthesis and tissue regeneration, enhances immune responses and reduces capillary permeability, thereby helping to reduce inflammation and swelling of the mucous membranes of the mouth and pharynx.
