Golden mustache: application in folk medicine. Soil and nutrients

INTRODUCTION

Herbs have been widely used for medicinal purposes since ancient times. Scientists have studied and continue to study the healing properties of many plants, including long-known ones.

Currently, interest in herbal medicine has grown a lot. This is due to the fact that, as it turned out, plants contain a whole range of biologically active substances that have a beneficial effect on the body.

Among the many homeopathic remedies, the golden mustache is especially popular. Callisia preparations, consisting of natural components, are well tolerated by the body and have practically no side effects compared to synthetic preparations. Although the properties of the golden mustache are still little understood, it can indeed cure many diseases. Of course, there is no panacea for all diseases, but it was this plant that helped many people.

The golden mustache is shrouded in mystery, as almost magical healing properties are attributed to it. In this book, we will talk in detail about this wonderful plant, how to grow it and how to use it for various diseases.

Golden mustache is taken orally and used externally for burns, tonsillitis, asthma, gastritis, hypertension, diabetes and many other diseases.

1 What is a golden mustache

Before being treated with a golden mustache, you need to know what this plant is. Often, the golden mustache is compared and even confused with dichorisandra. This happens because people get information from unreliable sources. As a result, many begin to be treated with a drug made at home from a plant that they have not seen in their eyes, and do not even know its exact name.

Golden mustache and dichorisandra do indeed belong to the same family, but there is no other connection between them. “Golden mustache”, “homemade ginseng”, “Far Eastern mustache”, “Venus hair” are the names of the same plant, the scientific name of which is “fragrant callisia”. In order not to be mistaken in the name of the plant, it is best to use the Latin name - "Callisia fragrans".

Callisia and dichorisandra belong to the Commeline family, as well as tradescantia and zebrina, which have long been used in alternative medicine. These are perennial, sometimes annual plants that grow in the tropical and subtropical zones of America, Asia, Africa and Australia. At first, they became interested in them as ornamental cultivated plants, and then they paid attention to the medicinal properties of these plants. The golden mustache differs from its relatives primarily in appearance. It resembles corn and is the only one among the commelins that has a mustache - lilac shoots with rosettes of leaves at the ends.

In total, there are 12 species of fragrant callisia in nature, which grow in the tropics of South and Central America.

This plant was first described in 1840 and was named "Spironema fragrans". The name "scented callisia" comes from the Greek callos - "beautiful" and lis - "lily". So the plant was named by the English scientist R. E. Watson in 1942.

In its natural habitat, fragrant callisia is a perennial herbaceous plant, the height of which reaches 2 m. It has large, regular oblong-lanceolate leaves 20–30 cm long and 5–6 cm wide, dark green in color. Horizontal shoots, the so-called mustaches, depart from erect shoots. They have underdeveloped leaves and end with rosettes of young leaves. Callisia flowers of small size, collected in apical hanging inflorescences, have a pleasant hyacinth smell. Callisia is native to Mexico.

Healing properties of the golden mustache

It takes years and efforts of specialists from various branches of medicine to study the composition of medicinal plants and their effect on the human body. For example, it took 8 years to study Kalanchoe alone, and then another 7 years for the Pharmaceutical Committee of the USSR Ministry of Health to confirm its value and allow the use of juice and ointment based on it in medical practice.

As for the golden mustache, its healing properties have been known for a long time. The indigenous people of Mexico called it the "spider plant" because of the mustache-like shoots resembling outstretched spider legs, and widely used its amazing wound-healing property. Callisia was used by local healers to treat wounds and even animal bites. For this, the leaves of the plant were used, which were crushed or crushed in a mortar and applied to the affected areas of the skin.

Currently, the medicinal properties of the golden whisker are still being studied. In Russia, this is done by scientists from the Department of Biology of St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University. A. I. Herzen.

Experts warn that this plant is not a universal medicine, however, many schemes for the use of drugs from callisia have already been approved and accepted by official medicine.

As mentioned above, the golden mustache belongs to the Commeline family, the healing properties of which began to be studied a very long time ago. These studies were started in America, at Harvard University, and in Canada. In the course of a study of medicinal plants in Mexico, scientists determined that callisia juice contains many biologically active substances that have a beneficial effect on the human body. Some of them even kill cancer cells. Unfortunately, scientific research has not been completed yet, they are ongoing at the present time.

In Russia, fragrant callisia became interested in the 80s. last century. At the same time, scientists from the Irkutsk Medical Institute under the guidance of Professor Semenov began research. In the study of callisia, which is still ongoing, it became known that treatment with this plant has both advantages and disadvantages. First of all, it turned out that with prolonged use of preparations based on the golden whisker, damage to the vocal cords occurs, as a result of which the voice sits down. Subsequent restoration of the vocal cords is difficult.

Callisia juice contains biologically active substances from the group of flavonoids (flavonols) and steroids (phytosteroids), which have antitumor activity, antispasmodic, antioxidant, diuretic effects.

Callisia juice contains flavonoids such as quercetin and kaempferol. Quercetin, along with other biologically active compounds, provides the ability of the golden mustache to fight cancer. It has a hemostatic effect. It is used for uterine bleeding, as well as for allergic diseases, hemorrhagic diathesis, rheumatism, nephritis, hypertension, measles, scarlet fever, typhus.

...

Flavonoids are compounds that are pigments and tannins. They have an antiseptic effect and P-vitamin activity.

Kaempferol has anti-inflammatory and diuretic effects, tones, strengthens capillaries, removes sodium salts from the body.

...

Golden mustache is a very valuable source of vitamin D, its intake virtually eliminates overdose and the possibility of side effects that are inevitable with prolonged and uncontrolled intake of synthetic vitamin preparations.

In addition, the healing properties of the golden mustache are due to the presence of elements important for the body: chromium, nickel, iron, copper. These metals increase the pharmacological value of callisia. It is known, for example, that in diabetes mellitus, the content of copper in the blood decreases, so taking a golden mustache is simply necessary. With anemia of various origins and chronic coronary insufficiency, the concentration of nickel in the blood decreases, therefore, in these diseases, the need for it increases.

Iron plays an important role in the activity of all living organisms. It is the main structural component of hemoglobin. Lack of iron leads to the development of severe anemia and other blood diseases. Golden mustache, as shown by recent studies, is able to accumulate a large amount of this element.

Insufficient or excessive intake of trace elements with food and water can lead to the development of severe metabolic disorders in humans, called microelementoses.

Chromium is a kind of assistant to insulin in the human body and regulates blood sugar levels. Therefore, it prevents the development of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases.

Thus, the golden mustache is indeed "golden" due to the large number of biologically active substances and necessary elements. According to the results of research by scientists of the Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy, their greatest content is observed in the lateral shoots of callisia.

2 How to grow a golden mustache

Golden mustache is an undemanding plant, but still it should be given a little attention. There are several universal rules that should be followed in order to grow callisia. At home you need:

- grow a golden mustache in wide ceramic pots or hydroponically;

- provide callisia with good lighting, but protect from direct sunlight;

- maintain a sufficiently low temperature in the room in winter, but not less than 12 ° C. If the care of the plant is correct, in the winter season the golden mustache does not shed its leaves and continues to grow;

- Water the plant abundantly, but do not overmoisten. In winter, water no more than 3 times a week;

- tie the plant to a support so that the main stem does not bend under its own weight. This should be done before the plant has shoots.

Callisia is propagated by basal shoots, as well as leaf and stem cuttings.

Callisia usually blooms in the second year. There are the following ways to propagate a golden mustache at home:

- Rooting cuttings in water. Cuttings are cut with a knife and immersed in water for 7-10 days. Vertical shoots with a rosette of large leaves give roots earlier than lateral shoots. If you add special growth stimulants (for example, epin), the cuttings will give roots in 4 days;

- Rooting cuttings in the soil. The cuttings are cut and planted in pots with soil, watered abundantly, covered with plastic bags and left in a room with diffused light for 3-4 days. Then the polyethylene is removed, the plants are abundantly watered and sprayed for several days, after which they are rearranged in a regular room.

...

In nature, the golden mustache reproduces with the help of lateral cranked shoots. In contact with the ground, they take root and separate from an adult plant, clinging with their side whiskers to trees growing nearby. That is why, under natural conditions, callisia grows in small groups.

Golden mustache can also be grown in the country, in a greenhouse or under a film. In this case, the plant should be propagated by rooting lateral horizontal shoots directly on the stems in the soil. The main stem must be tied up or attached to a support, the shoots from the main plant are not cut off, but placed on the surface of the soil and sprinkled. After they take root, they are cut off and transplanted to another place.

...

Golden mustache can also be grown in a living corner. This unpretentious plant is very popular with parrots. And birds and animals, as you know, are never mistaken about what is useful and what is harmful.

Callisia can be immediately planted in open ground. In this case, the mustache is separated from the house plant in early April and placed in water. A month later, after the roots appear, the plant is planted on the site, having previously fertilized the ground well with a mixture of ash (1/2 bucket) and superphosphate (100 g). If you properly care for the plant, you can harvest 3 crops over the summer. In autumn, the plants are cut off entirely and pour 2 liters of vodka.

Under the conditions of cultivation, the golden mustache is usually resistant to diseases and is practically not affected by them.

3 How to prepare medicines from the golden mustache

At home, it is enough to simply prepare callisia preparations. This does not require sophisticated equipment, and the use of such drugs for medicinal purposes is relatively safe. In addition, there are no allergic reactions to golden mustache products.

Preparations of the golden mustache are of several types. These are infusion, extract, tincture, ointment, fresh and aged juice, emulsion, etc.

Balm

Golden mustache balm is prepared on the basis of refined vegetable oil. 40 ml of oil and 30 ml of golden mustache alcohol tincture are poured into glassware. Close the lid tightly, shake vigorously for 7 minutes, then drink immediately. It is impossible to drink slowly, since the separation of the components occurs very quickly. This balm is used in the treatment of bronchial asthma and cancer.

Infusion

It is prepared from the leaves of a golden mustache with a length of at least 20 cm. They take one large leaf, place it in any non-metallic dish, pour 1 liter of boiling water, wrap it up and insist for a day. You can insist a golden mustache in a thermos.

...

Golden mustache cells contain special substances - biogenic stimulants that can increase vitality. When they enter the human body, they increase its resistance to diseases, normalize the metabolism in tissues.

The finished infusion has a raspberry-violet hue. The liquid is filtered through gauze and stored at room temperature.

The infusion is used to treat diabetes, bronchitis, leukemia, arthritis, otitis media, pneumonia and other diseases.

Extract

The extract is prepared on the basis of the infusion. First prepare the infusion, then evaporate it. Extracts are used for pyoderma and varicose veins.

Tincture

The drug is prepared from the lateral shoots of the golden mustache, divided by brown-violet nodes into separate internodes - knees. The plant becomes curative after 8-10 nodes appear on its whiskers. The knees are cut off, crushed and insisted on alcohol or vodka in a ratio of 1: 3, stored for 2 weeks in a dark place, shaking occasionally. The tincture is applied externally for rubbing and compresses in bronchial asthma, pneumonia, bronchitis.

Fresh Juice

It is prepared as follows. The leaves of the plant are cut off, washed with boiled water, cut into plates 2–3 mm thick, and the juice is squeezed out with a juicer, or the raw material is crushed in porcelain or glassware, and then the juice is squeezed through gauze. The remaining oilcake is used to make an infusion and in the treatment of bruises.

Fresh juice is used externally as a wound healing and antiseptic agent in the treatment of pyoderma, skin cancer and some other diseases.

stimulated juice

Cut leaves are wrapped in thick paper and kept in the refrigerator for 2 weeks. After that, they are washed, crushed, poured with water, left in a dark place for 2-3 hours. Then the resulting juice is filtered. Used for cosmetic purposes as an anti-acne agent.

Ointment

To prepare the ointment, gruel or juice from the leaves and stems of the plant and a fatty base are used - baby cream, petroleum jelly, interior, pork or badger fat. The juice is mixed with the base in a ratio of 1: 3, gruel - in a ratio of 2: 3.

Ointment based on baby cream and petroleum jelly is used in the treatment of varicose veins and pyoderma, based on interior and badger fat - in the treatment of arthritis and for rubbing with bronchitis and sore throat.

Oil

Golden mustache oil can be prepared in the following ways:

- squeeze the juice from the leaves and stems of callisia, the remaining cake is dried, crushed, poured with olive oil, placed in a dark place at room temperature for 2-3 weeks.

The resulting oil is stored in glassware, preferably dark in color;

- callisia whiskers are crushed, poured with olive or vegetable oil (in a ratio of 1: 2), put in the oven, heated for 8–10 hours at a temperature of 30–40 ° C. Then the mass is filtered and placed in the refrigerator.

Callisia oil is used for rubbing in the treatment of colds, rheumatism, skin and other diseases.

As recent surveys have shown, many are treated with this plant by chewing their whiskers immediately after cutting them. Indeed, with this method, all the active elements of the plant are fully used. Mustaches 2–3 cm long should be taken orally 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals. Depending on the state of health, the dose can be increased or decreased.

4 How to apply a golden mustache

For the prevention of various diseases, as well as for cosmetic purposes, preparations based on callisia are used not only as an internal, but also as an external agent.

Reception of the golden mustache inside

For oral administration, a golden mustache is used in the form of an alcohol tincture, infusion, balm, and also in combination with other products (honey, cahors, vegetable oil).

If the patient cannot take the drug in its pure form, an infusion of mint or other medicinal herb without sugar, as well as a small amount of honey, can be added to it.

In no case should you drink infusion or tincture with milk or coffee, hot or alcoholic drinks. Alcohol tincture is best washed down with cold water or homemade grape juice. In addition, a few drops of lemon juice can be added to the preparation.

The amount of infusion, balm or tincture taken depends on the needs of the body. If the patient drank a large amount of the drug, he may feel discomfort in the stomach, but this will not harm the body.

In case of violation of the work of the stomach, it is necessary to increase the dosage of preparations of the golden mustache gradually. First, it is recommended to drink pure water with the addition of a small amount of infusion, then a solution prepared from 1/2 teaspoon of balm and 200 ml of water.

External use of the golden mustache

Outwardly, the golden mustache is used in the form of lotions, compresses, rubbing, applications. To do this, you can use alcohol tincture, juice, crushed parts of the plant and whole leaves.

The use of a golden mustache for cosmetic purposes

Human skin requires careful care. You can use a wonderful remedy by rubbing the skin with golden mustache oil, prepared on the basis of olive oil.

Preparations of the golden mustache can also be used to exfoliate the skin of the face. To do this, the following procedure is carried out once a week: thoroughly cleanse the face with detergents, rinse with plenty of warm water and cover for 3 minutes with a damp terry towel. This compress facilitates the penetration of beneficial substances into the skin, as it opens the pores. Then you should moisten a linen cloth in an infusion of a golden mustache, wring it out and put it on your face. Top with a terry towel. The compress is kept for 5 minutes, after which the face is washed with warm water and massaged with a moistened terry towel. At the same time, dead scales, separated due to the action of the golden whisker, are easily removed.

...

The surface of the skin consists of small scales, which, under the influence of environmental factors (wind, temperature changes, solar radiation, detergents) dry out and peel off. Alcohol tincture of the golden mustache stimulates this process, thus promoting the renewal of skin cells.

Golden mustache ointment based on baby cream is part of a mask that can be used for dry skin. To do this, take a small cucumber, peel, grind into a pulp, mix with 1 egg yolk and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. A little ointment from a golden mustache is added to the resulting mass. Everything is thoroughly mixed and applied to the skin of the face and neck. The mask is kept on the face for 30 minutes, after which it is washed off with warm water. The skin becomes clean and fresh.

With increased dryness of the skin, an ointment based on lanolin cream is used.

For acne, an alcohol tincture of a golden mustache is used.

To lighten age spots, including on the face, use alcohol tincture of a golden mustache and onion juice. 2 teaspoons of golden mustache tincture and 1 teaspoon of onion juice are mixed and applied to problem areas overnight. The same recipe can be used to lighten freckles.

A daily massage (after taking a warm shower) with a mixture of 1 tablespoon of golden mustache infusion and 1 glass of warm water brings great benefits to the skin of the body. This procedure restores the normal acidity of the skin, improves blood circulation, removes soap residues, as a result of which the skin acquires a fresh and healthy look, becomes elastic.

To avoid tightening the skin of the hands from the drying effect of soap, it is recommended to lubricate the hands with golden mustache oil.

To get rid of calluses and keratinized skin on the heels, you should start with a 10-minute bath. To do this, add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed golden mustache juice to 1 liter of water. After that, the keratinized skin can be easily removed with a pumice stone. If you carry out this procedure every week, the keratinized areas will completely disappear.

If fresh golden mustache juice is applied for 10 minutes to problem areas, this will prevent the appearance of wrinkles. With regular use of callisia juice, the skin will retain health and good appearance for a long time.

For hair loss, take a golden mustache tincture (1 dessert spoon per glass of water) in the morning and evening half an hour before meals. After a while, hair stops falling out, acquires a natural shine and beauty.

5 Use of the golden whisker in medicine

Currently, preparations from the golden mustache are widely used in alternative medicine both for prevention and for the treatment of many diseases.

Disease prevention

As you know, it is easier to prevent a disease than to treat it, and a golden mustache can do a good job in this.

Prophylactic use of golden mustache infusion with the addition of 1 teaspoon of honey stimulates the body's defenses, has a general strengthening effect, helps to cope with infection during winter epidemics, with hypothermia, etc.

...

The cause of many diseases of the gums and teeth is bacterial plaque on them. Therefore, in order to prevent the oral cavity, it is recommended to rinse 2 times a day (morning and evening) with golden mustache infusion. Then, in order not to damage the tooth enamel, you need to brush your teeth with toothpaste.

To prevent periodontal disease and strengthen the gums, you can eat inside the shoots of this plant, chewing them whole.

The use of a golden mustache for various diseases

Any drug, both synthetic and herbal, can cause irreparable harm to health if taken incorrectly or self-medicated. Therefore, for any disease, even if it does not pose a danger to life, you must first consult with your doctor.

Currently, the healing properties of the golden mustache are widely used in homeopathy. There are a number of diseases that can be cured by taking golden mustache preparations both as a separate remedy and when used in combination with fruits, vegetables, honey and other natural products. The therapeutic and therapeutic-prophylactic effect of golden mustache preparations can be significantly enhanced if they are used in combination with other useful substances. Diseases that can be treated with a golden mustache include the following:

- gastritis;

- haemorrhoids;

- heartburn;

- cholelithiasis;

- liver disease;

- diseases of the respiratory system;

- wounds and burns;

This is an infectious disease accompanied by inflammation of the nasopharyngeal, palatine, laryngeal or lingual tonsils.

Sometimes the inflammatory process can cover other accumulations of lymphoid tissue of the pharynx and larynx. Patients complain of a sharp sore throat, especially when swallowing, a general malaise, expressed in weakness and headache. The body temperature rises sharply, the tonsils increase.

The infection is transmitted in two ways: airborne and through food. Predisposing factors can be local and general cooling, as well as a weakening of the body's defenses. Most often, angina affects children of preschool and school age, as well as adults 35-40 years old. In the autumn and spring periods, the risk of the disease increases.

As a rule, angina develops when staphylococcal, pneumococcal or streptococcal flora enters the body. Infection mainly occurs by airborne droplets, however, in some cases, the focus of infection is inflamed areas of the gums, tongue and pharynx. Caries and sinusitis are no less dangerous.

The lack of necessary and timely treatment can lead to a complication of the disease, that is, to the development of rheumatism, meningitis, nephritis, otitis, arachnoiditis. High probability of laryngeal edema.

During the treatment of angina, you must strictly follow the doctor's recommendations. It is usually prescribed to strictly observe bed rest, eat only semi-liquid food, so as not to injure the inflamed tonsils. Plentiful drinking is also recommended: tea with lemon, warm milk, natural fruit juices, warm alkaline mineral water.

The diet of a sick person should consist of high-calorie and vitamin-containing foods.

Angina can be treated with the following golden mustache preparations.

drug 1. Its basis is freshly squeezed onion juice, which is mixed with a small amount of fresh golden mustache juice. The resulting medicine is taken 1 teaspoon 3-4 times a day before meals.

drug 2. Glass or porcelain dishes are half filled with crushed leaves of a golden mustache and aloe, covered with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, insisted for 3 days, then topped up with vodka. Insist for another 3 days, filter, squeeze. The resulting medicine has a bittersweet taste. Take it until complete recovery.

Anemia, like other blood diseases, can be the result of past illnesses. As a rule, iron deficiency occurs in a person after surgery or some serious illness.

Since the chemical composition of the golden mustache includes such important elements for the human body as iron and copper (copper promotes the absorption of iron), preparations of this plant are successfully used to treat anemia. For this purpose, take freshly squeezed golden mustache juice or an infusion prepared from this plant (1 tablespoon 3 times a day before meals).

...

Children suffering from anemia and pregnant women, as well as nursing mothers, should not take callisia preparations.

It is worth noting that the treatment of anemia should be carried out under the supervision of a physician. The patient must strictly follow the recommendations of a specialist regarding the diet and intake of certain iron preparations, at the same time with which it is quite possible to drink medicines based on a golden mustache.

Arthritis (synovitis) belongs to the group of rheumatic diseases, the main feature of which is a persistent and transient articular syndrome.

This disease is characterized by inflammation of the synovium. It is accompanied by pain, swelling in the joint area and, as a result, limitation of its mobility. If several joints are affected, then this disease is called "monoligoarthritis". If more than three joints are affected, then this is polyarthritis.

For arthritis, rubbing with golden mustache oil is used, the recipes for which are given above. In addition, compresses are applied to the area of \u200b\u200bthe joints. To do this, moisten a bandage, folded in several layers, with a tincture of a golden mustache and apply to the sore spot for 2 hours, repeating the procedure 2 times a day.

Atherosclerosis

This disease is characterized by the proliferation of connective tissue in the walls of large and medium-sized arteries, which causes thickening of the walls in combination with fatty impregnation of their inner membrane. Elderly people are prone to the disease: men 50–60 years old and women over 60 years old. Recently, however, atherosclerosis has been increasingly found in younger people, especially in men aged 30–40 years.

The development of atherosclerosis can lead to:

- hyperlipidemia - a violation of lipid (fat) and carbohydrate metabolism, when there is an increased content of cholesterol (more than 5.2 mol / l) and (or) triglycerides in the blood;

- a change in the composition of the blood, primarily an increase in the number of platelets, causing an increase in blood clotting;

- changes in the properties of the walls of arteries, contributing to the accumulation of lipid substances in them;

- arterial hypertension;

- diabetes;

- obesity in combination with other factors;

- hereditary predisposition to atherosclerosis (pronounced or early atherosclerosis in parents);

- smoking;

- sedentary lifestyle;

- excessive nervous tension, sometimes even personality traits of a person (psychological type of leader).

Some factors are closely interrelated, so their selection is conditional. A combination of several factors is particularly unfavorable.

Signs of atherosclerosis are dry skin, hair loss, deformation and hardening of peripheral arteries, etc. Other symptoms depend on the type of atherosclerosis.

Treatment for atherosclerosis should be prescribed by a doctor. The patient must follow a special diet. A positive effect on the body can also have the use of preparations of the golden mustache. This plant, containing quercetin and kaempferol, normalizes blood circulation and strengthens blood vessels. That is why golden mustache preparations are used in the treatment of various diseases of the circulatory system, including atherosclerosis.

...

If the reception of golden mustache tincture is accompanied by dizziness and vomiting, it is recommended to interrupt the course of treatment and consult a doctor as soon as possible.

For the treatment of atherosclerosis, an alcohol tincture of a golden mustache is taken orally, mixing it with vegetable oil. The tincture is prepared as follows: 35 knots of the plant are crushed, placed in a dark glass dish, poured into 1.5 liters of alcohol and infused for 2 weeks in a dark place.

The resulting tincture is taken orally with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. The mixture is shaken and drunk immediately. The drug is taken 3 times a day 20 minutes before meals. 2 hours before taking the medicine, it is recommended to refuse food. The drug is taken for 10 days in a row, taking a break for 5 days. Then the course is repeated.

Bronchial asthma

This disease is accompanied by attacks of suffocation, which can be of varying strength and duration (from several minutes or 1–2 hours to several days). Attacks are caused by spasms and swelling of the mucous membrane of the small bronchi, clogging them with mucus. Asthma attacks come on suddenly, usually at night. Breathing becomes difficult, becomes wheezing, suffocation occurs, the face becomes bluish, the veins in the neck swell. At the end of the attack, the cough becomes wet, vitreous sputum begins to stand out. With prolonged asthma, hours and days can pass without improvement in the patient's condition.

For the treatment of bronchial asthma, in addition to medications prescribed by a doctor, an alcohol tincture of a golden mustache is used. The drug is taken 1 dessert spoon 45 minutes before meals 3 times a day. It can be ingested continuously throughout the year.

This is an infectious disease in which inflammatory processes in the bronchial area are observed. The main symptoms are coughing fits, mucopurulent sputum, general malaise. In the most severe forms of bronchitis, shortness of breath also appears. Bronchitis is caused by viral and bacterial infections. Factors contributing to the development of the disease are hypothermia, dry, dusty or gassed air.

There are acute and chronic bronchitis. The causative agents of acute bronchitis are staphylococci, streptococci and pneumococci, as well as various viruses - measles, influenza, whooping cough, etc. The development of the disease is facilitated by factors that reduce immunity to acute infectious diseases (hypothermia, infections of the upper respiratory tract, etc.), and direct contact with patients.

In acute bronchitis, the patient develops a sensation of tickling and burning in the chest area, a painful cough (at first dry, and after a few days with sputum), shortness of breath, vitality decreases, depression appears, chest pain periodically occurs, breathing becomes heavy and hoarse. Body temperature rises. Complications give bacterial purulent infections. In typical cases, the disease lasts from 7 to 14 days, with a bacterial infection it can take up to 1 month or more.

...

According to statistics, more than 80% of cases of chronic bronchitis are associated with smoking.

The main symptom of chronic bronchitis is a chronic cough with sputum production. A cough is considered chronic if it lasts at least 3 months a year for 2 years. In this case, the patient is diagnosed with chronic bronchitis. The main causes of its occurrence are smoking and air pollution.

Severe complications of chronic bronchitis occur when a bacterial infection (Haemophilus influenzae or pneumococcus) is attached, as a result of which the inflammation penetrates deeper.

The initial sign of chronic bronchitis is coughing attacks, which are exacerbated in the cold and damp season. In this case, mucous, mucopurulent or purulent sputum is secreted. Coughing can cause pain in the chest and abdomen. With physical exertion, shortness of breath appears, which increases with the development of the disease.

In acute bronchitis, bed rest is observed and, along with taking medications prescribed by a doctor, they drink remedies from a golden mustache. In chronic bronchitis, a long course of treatment is carried out with a decoction of this plant.

At the beginning, to separate viscous sputum with a dry cough, they drink a warm decoction of a golden mustache, 1 dessert spoon 3 times a day 40 minutes before meals during the entire period of illness.

Also, in acute bronchitis, compresses are made from fresh leaves of callisia, which are placed on the chest for 15-20 minutes. To do this, the leaves are crushed, doused with boiling water and wrapped in gauze.

In chronic bronchitis, the following mixture is prepared as an expectorant: 300 g of honey is mixed with 1/2 cup of water, a crushed golden mustache leaf is added and boiled over low heat for 1 hour. Then the mixture is cooled, thoroughly mixed and stored in a dark cool place. Take 1 tablespoon 2 times a day 40 minutes before meals.

In addition, chronic bronchitis is recommended to be treated with a mixture of the following composition: 1 dessert spoon of aloe juice, 1 teaspoon of golden mustache juice, 100 g of honey. The components are mixed and stored in a dark cool place. For treatment, 1 dessert spoon of the mixture is diluted in 1 glass of hot milk and taken 2 times a day 1 hour before meals.

For the treatment of chronic bronchitis, 1-2 times a week, the chest is smeared with an ointment prepared on the basis of visceral fat with the addition of golden mustache juice.

In acute bronchitis, you can take an infusion of a golden mustache mixed with honey (1: 1), 1 dessert spoon 3 times a day 40 minutes before meals.

Phlebeurysm

Varicose veins are called changes in the veins of the lower extremities, their uneven increase and protrusion at the site of thinning of the venous wall as a result of difficult outflow of blood from the veins and its stagnation. The cause of the disease is a hereditary inferiority of the valvular apparatus of the venous system or congenital weakness of the connective tissue.

In addition, excess body weight and a constant long stay in an upright position due to professional characteristics of work can lead to varicose veins.

With varicose veins, the patient feels heaviness in the legs, skin itching and burning, at night - convulsions. Sometimes there is swelling in the ankle joints. Dilated veins appear on the thighs and legs. Over time, the disease develops, swelling veins protrude more and more above the skin, knots become visible in them. Vessels acquire a bluish tint and a more tortuous shape. Sometimes there are complications in the form of thrombophlebitis and bleeding.

There are primary varicose veins and secondary, which develops as a result of previous deep vein thrombophlebitis or their congenital pathology.

In the initial stages, the disease does not cause much concern to the patient. Localization, length and shape of varicose veins is determined by examination and palpation of superficial veins. In this case, often the seal and expansion of the veins is found far beyond the visible expansion.

Often, people with varicose veins have swollen legs at the end of the working day. After some time, there is a dull aching pain in the legs, cramps in the calf muscles, increased fatigue with forced long standing on the feet. As the disease develops, dry skin, pigmentation, atrophy, dermatitis, erosion, eczema, and varicose ulcers are noted.

The traditional treatment for varicose veins is wearing elastic stockings and bandaging. In addition, it is useful to do exercises for the legs.

In the treatment of varicose veins with preparations of the golden mustache, a decrease in pain and a decrease in fatigue are observed. First, the affected areas are rubbed with an infusion of a golden mustache, then gruel from this plant is applied to them and bandaged with an elastic bandage.

With the expansion of veins and thrombosis, they drink tea from the leaves of the golden mustache and verbena (12–15 g per 180–200 g of boiling water). Take 1 tablespoon.

With thrombophlebitis, they take a medicine prepared according to the following recipe: they take 2 cups of honey, 6 lemons, 5 cloves of garlic, 3-4 leaves of a golden mustache. Lemons are peeled and juiced. Crush the garlic, then grind the golden mustache in a glass bowl. All components are mixed, laid out in a glass dish and placed in a dark place for a week.

The mixture is taken 1 time per day, 4 teaspoons for a month.

Sinusitis

Sinusitis is an inflammatory process that affects the paranasal sinuses, located in the cavities of the bones of the facial part of the skull and connected to the nasal cavity through various channels.

Sinusitis, as a rule, is the result of prolonged flu or a cold. The cause of its occurrence can be some infectious diseases, including scarlet fever and measles.

There are acute and chronic forms of sinusitis. Sometimes one of them can turn into another.

In acute sinusitis, the patient develops mucous discharge from the nose, breathing becomes difficult, the sense of smell worsens, the nose is partially or completely blocked. A person begins to experience discomfort in the cheeks and forehead, especially when they are palpated.

In chronic sinusitis, all of the above symptoms are observed, but they are weakly expressed. There are mucous or purulent discharges that enter the nasopharynx from the nasal passage, and swelling of the nasal cavity also appears. In rare cases, polyps may appear in the nasal cavity.

...

With sinusitis, in some cases, the patient begins to feel a headache. He also has an elevated body temperature and mild swelling in the forehead and nose.

It is a long runny nose, which at first glance is not dangerous, most often causes the appearance of sinusitis. Runny nose is called inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, occurring in acute or chronic form. Acute runny nose begins with a feeling of dryness and burning in the nose, sneezing, sore throat, headache, general malaise may appear. Then copious discharge begins, first transparent, then mucous and purulent. The mucous membrane of the nose swells, breathing becomes difficult. The cause may be a cold, an infection, an allergy.

In chronic rhinitis, it precedes sinusitis, there is a constant discharge of mucus from the nose, nasal breathing is difficult, since the nasal mucosa thickens and closes the nasal passages, and sometimes, on the contrary, it becomes thinner and covered with crusts of drying mucus. When the crusts decompose, the so-called fetid runny nose occurs, the sense of smell disappears.

Causes of chronic runny nose can be a deviated septum, sinus disease, adenoid growths, frequent colds.

Before starting the treatment of sinusitis, it is necessary to make an accurate diagnosis using x-ray equipment that allows you to examine the area of the paranasal sinuses.

In addition to the medication prescribed by the attending physician, physiotherapy is indicated: dry heat (blue light, a heating pad on the forehead or cheeks), UHF therapy, diathermy.

Like a sore throat, sinusitis can be treated with golden mustache preparations. The most effective remedy is to gargle with an infusion of this plant and instill it into the nose, 2 drops in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day.

Gastritis is an inflammation of the mucous membrane (in some cases, deeper layers) of the stomach wall. There are acute and chronic gastritis.

Under the influence of long-term exposure to various factors, gastric dysfunction first develops, and later - dystrophic and inflammatory changes and disorders.

In addition to the medications that the doctor should prescribe, you can use preparations of the golden mustache. A decoction of strawberry leaves (50 g per 1 liter of water) with golden mustache juice helps a lot with all forms of gastritis, the dosage of which may vary depending on individual tolerance.

The most effective in the treatment of this disease is the use of the golden mustache in combination with other drugs.

For gastritis with reduced secretion, the following mixture is prepared: centauria - 2 g, St. John's wort - 2 g, gentian - 2 g, yarrow - 2 g, wild chicory - 3 g, fumes - 4 g. and boil for 5-7 minutes in the morning. After the broth has cooled, it is filtered, 6 tablespoons of golden mustache juice are added and drunk in one day, dividing the liquid into 5 doses.

For gastritis with high acidity, a mixture of grass 40 g of heather, 30 g of centaury (centauri), 40 g of St. John's wort, 20 g of peppermint and 20 g of buckthorn bark is used. 2 tablespoons of the mixture is poured into 0.5 liters of boiling water, evaporated for 30 minutes, then 4 tablespoons of golden mustache juice are added. The resulting decoction is drunk in small portions throughout the day.

Haemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids - an expansion of the cavernous veins of the lower rectum, the nodes of which can bleed, become inflamed and infringed in the anus. Hemorrhoids develop with dysfunction of the venous wall, due to a violation of the venous outflow. Weakness of the venous wall can be congenital or acquired as a result of a sedentary lifestyle. Frequent constipation is also the cause of hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoids can be external and internal. The main symptoms are pain during bowel movements, a feeling of heaviness, burning and itching in the anus, bleeding and blood in the stool. Venous nodes are formed - rounded protrusions of the mucous membrane. Varicose veins that have fallen out can become inflamed and ulcerated, and when they are infringed, there is a sharp pain.

If the disease is in its initial stage, it can be cured with the help of golden mustache remedies - a solution, tincture, ointment.

The solution is prepared from 4 drops of calendula tincture and 3 drops of golden mustache infusion. The prepared preparation lubricates the area around the anus.

Also, the area around the anus is washed with a weak decoction of a golden mustache. To prepare it, 1 crushed leaf of a golden mustache is poured into 5 cups of boiling water, insisted for 8 hours. Then the broth is filtered and added to the bath.

For internal use with hemorrhoids, an infusion or tincture of a golden mustache is used. Infusion take 1 dessert spoon 2 times a day 40 minutes before meals for 10 days. Treatment with tincture is carried out for 7 days, taking the drug 1 teaspoon 3 times a day 1 hour before meals.

...

If bleeding and prolonged pain in the anus, as well as stool retention or diarrhea lasting more than 7 days, are observed during the treatment of hemorrhoids with preparations of the golden mustache, treatment should be interrupted and a doctor should be consulted as soon as possible.

Having previously consulted with a doctor, the hemorrhoids are lubricated with a golden mustache ointment prepared on the basis of a baby cream.

Hypertonic disease

Hypertension is a disease, the main symptom of which is an increase in blood pressure, not associated with any disease of the internal organs. Among the symptoms can be noted headache, dizziness, nausea, a feeling of flickering before the eyes. Some people experience irritability, fatigue, and poor sleep. Patients sometimes have nosebleeds, after which the headache subsides. Headaches can be more severe not with high pressure, but with frequent fluctuations in its values.

Golden mustache remedies can increase the effectiveness of the treatment that a doctor should prescribe.

With arterial hypertension, such a universal remedy as a balm based on a golden mustache can be used. To prepare this balm, you need an alcohol extract of the plant. To do this, several leaves of callisia are crushed, poured with pure medical alcohol (so that the liquid level exceeds the level of gruel from the golden mustache by about 2 times) and left for 9 days in a cool place. Then 40 ml of purified vegetable oil and 30 ml of alcohol extract are poured into a glass container. Close the lid tightly, shake for a few minutes and drink immediately. If the medicine is insisted, it can cause harm.

An effective remedy for lowering blood pressure is a mixture of decoctions of hawthorn and golden mustache. This remedy is taken 1 dessert spoon 2 times a day 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 5 days. The decoction can be replaced with a mixture of tinctures: 1/2 teaspoon of hawthorn tincture and 1/2 teaspoon of golden mustache tincture are mixed and drunk 1 hour before meals.

The medicine is taken 1 time per day (preferably in the morning) for 7 days. After a week break, the course is repeated.

If dizziness, headache, nausea, shortness of breath, chest pain and clouding of consciousness are observed when taking the golden mustache, treatment should be interrupted and consult a doctor.

Depression

A depressive state, as a rule, is observed in various neuropsychiatric diseases and is accompanied by depression, melancholy, gloomy mood, poor physical health, often combined with slow speech, mental retardation, and a decrease in overall activity.

With depression, a person has a constantly depressed mood, he is haunted by a feeling of anxiety, hopelessness, inner emptiness, melancholy, depression, etc.

Along with antidepressants, which are prescribed by the attending physician, alcohol tincture of the golden mustache should be taken orally. It is taken 1 dessert spoon 30 minutes before meals 2 times a day. The course of admission is from 14 to 30 days.

diabetes mellitus

The disease is characterized by an increase in blood sugar levels and a violation of all types of metabolism. The reasons for the development of diabetes can be hereditary predisposition, poor nutrition and neuropsychic experiences.

Diabetes treatment

Treatment of diabetes is carried out only under the supervision of a doctor who prescribes the appropriate treatment. At the same time, you can take an infusion of a golden mustache. The medicine is taken warm, 3 tablespoons 3-4 times a day 40 minutes before meals.

Already during the first course of treatment, all patients have a significant improvement in general well-being, an increase in working capacity, thirst and dry mouth disappear or decrease, tests show a decrease in blood sugar levels.

Constipation is the infrequent emptying of the large intestine. It develops as a result of a weakening of the function of peristalsis, a violation of the motor function of the intestine. Constipation can be a symptom of a more serious condition, such as an obstruction in the large intestine or endocrine problems.

The development of constipation is promoted by malnutrition and a sedentary lifestyle. The disease is usually accompanied by depression, insomnia, heavy sweating, loss of appetite, headache and a feeling of heaviness in the intestines.

In the stomach and intestines of the patient, toxins are formed, which after a while spread throughout the body.

For chronic constipation, you should take an infusion of golden mustache 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day 30 minutes before meals. In addition, the reception of golden mustache juice with honey can bring relief.

To do this, 100 g of freshly cut leaves of the golden mustache are kept in the refrigerator for 2 weeks, then squeeze the juice out of them and mix it with 4 tablespoons of honey. For chronic constipation, take 1 tablespoon of the mixture 30 minutes before meals, after 2 days of taking the dose should be reduced by half.

Heartburn is usually one of the symptoms that indicates the presence of other, more serious diseases of the digestive system, such as cancer, ulcers, gastritis. Often it develops on a nervous basis. Heartburn often occurs when you eat too much too hot, cold or fatty foods.

Heartburn occurs when stomach acid seeps into the esophagus. The hydrochloric acid contained in the gastric juice begins to act on the esophagus, irritating it. The use of coffee, alcohol, and smoking can lead to an unfavorable result.

Cardiac ischemia

Ischemic heart disease is a disease occurring in acute or chronic form, which is caused by a deterioration in the blood supply to the myocardium due to atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries. In this case, the heart receives an insufficient amount of oxygen. Ischemic disease can manifest itself in the following forms:

- angina pectoris;

- myocardial infarction;

- atherosclerotic cardiosclerosis.

For all diseases of the cardiovascular system, medication is mandatory, and sometimes surgical treatment. Golden mustache preparations - infusions and fresh juice - can only be an additional treatment. However, its use often helps to relieve the symptoms of many diseases and thus brings relief to the patient.

Golden mustache infusion or fresh juice of the plant is taken 1 dessert spoon 2 times a day 40 minutes before meals.

Leukemias are malignant diseases of the blood, which are characterized mainly by the predominance of the processes of reproduction of bone marrow cells, and sometimes by the occurrence of foci of a pathological nature in the process of hematopoiesis in the internal organs. By its origin, this group of diseases is close to the pathological formations of tumors. In leukemia, normal hematopoietic cells are replaced by pathological ones.

In addition to the medical treatment prescribed by the doctor, they take a golden mustache tincture with honey and Cahors. The plant is crushed in a glass bowl, mixed with buckwheat honey in a ratio of 1: 1 and poured with 2 parts of Cahors. The resulting mixture is infused for 40 days.

The medicine is taken 1 tablespoon 40 minutes before meals 3 times a day.

Frostbite

Frostbite occurs due to prolonged exposure to low temperatures on the skin. Like burns, they have 4 degrees. Many people know how to provide first aid for frostbite. The most common way is to apply a napkin moistened with 70% alcohol or calendula pharmacy tincture to a frostbitten skin area.

If frostbite is severe (III and IV degrees with deep damage to the skin), then the help of a doctor is already needed here, and self-treatment will not bring good results.

Golden mustache preparations are used in first aid in the same way as for skin burns (see below).

If there is a decrease in skin inflammation, you can use compresses with a tincture of a golden mustache, applying them every day to frostbitten skin for 1.5–2 hours.

Burns are damage to individual parts of the body as a result of thermal, chemical or radiation exposure to them. Burns are of varying severity, which is determined by the area and depth of damage:

– I degree: redness and swelling of the skin;

- II degree: the formation of blisters filled with a yellowish liquid;

– III degree: skin necrosis;

- IV degree: necrosis of the skin and underlying tissues.

This disease goes through several periods: burn shock, acute toxemia, septicotoxemia and recovery.

Burn shock is caused by the fact that irritation of many nerve elements occurs at the site of the lesion.

Toxemia is a poisoning of the body caused by the decay products of damaged tissues. It starts almost immediately and gradually intensifies. In this case, the metabolism in the body is disturbed.

...

With large areas of damage, burn shock can lead to the death of the patient.

The next stage of the development of the disease is caused by the infection on the surface exposed as a result of a burn. During this period, the patient has an increase in body temperature, anemia develops, inflammatory processes occur in damaged tissues and, as a result, edema. Inflammation and decay products of the affected tissues affect the nerve endings, causing severe pain. Circulation is disturbed.

With first-degree burns, blood circulation soon normalizes, and inflammatory processes stop, swelling becomes less, pain disappears.

With second-degree burns, all painful processes also gradually disappear and after 14-16 days a complete recovery occurs if the damaged surfaces were not infected and suppuration did not begin. In the latter case, the disease is delayed for several weeks or even months.

With a III or IV degree of burn, the patient experiences lethargy, drowsiness, convulsions, nausea, sweating, lowering blood pressure, increased heart rate, dehydration and severe intoxication. In especially severe cases, there are violations of the function of the liver and kidneys, ulcers appear on the mucous surface of the gastrointestinal tract.

With solar and local thermal burns of I and II degrees, freshly prepared slurry from the leaves of callisia can be used. They are ground with a pestle in a porcelain mortar. The resulting mass is applied to a bandage, folded twice, and applied to the affected areas of the body with a bandage to the damaged surface. The bandage should be changed 2 times a day.

After dressing with a golden mustache leaf, the pain from the burn goes away. And after 2 days, there is no trace of him.

III and IV degree burns are treated in a hospital under medical supervision.

Osteochondrosis

Osteochondrosis occurs when the structure of the intervertebral discs and joints, the ligamentous apparatus and the bodies of adjacent vertebrae are disturbed. This disease is curable at all stages of development.

If a person refuses treatment, then in the future it can lead to his disability.

In addition to the complex of physiotherapy exercises recommended by the doctor and medications that relieve pain, a patient with osteochondrosis can resort to alternative methods of treatment. The latter include the external use of preparations of the golden mustache.

At the time of exacerbation of osteochondrosis, the cervical vertebrae are rubbed with tincture. The course of treatment is 5 days. After that, the pain goes away and there is a noticeable relief.

...

If the joints of the legs hurt, you should rub them with the stimulated juice of the golden mustache.

With osteochondrosis, compresses from a golden mustache also help. To do this, the bandage is moistened with a tincture of a golden mustache and applied to a sore spot for 2 hours. The procedure is repeated 2 times a day.

Acute respiratory diseases

Acute respiratory infections (ARI) are diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

ARI develops when pathogenic microorganisms enter the body, the number of varieties of which is several hundred. The most famous of them:

- influenza viruses;

- reoviruses;

- parainfluenza viruses;

- adenoviruses;

- enteroviruses;

- the herpes simplex virus;

– rhinoviruses;

- staphylococci and streptococci;

– coronaviruses;

– mycoplasmas;

- respiratory syncytial viruses.

Most often, children suffer from acute respiratory diseases. The infection mainly enters the body through airborne droplets. Infection occurs during close contact with a sick person.

The main symptoms of the disease are cough, runny nose, fever, general weakness and apathy. The duration of the disease is about 1 week, and in the presence of any complications - 3-4 weeks.

As a treatment, along with antiseptic preparations, it is recommended to rinse the throat and nose with fresh golden mustache juice (1 teaspoon of juice per 250 ml of water). Inflamed areas of the oral mucosa are lubricated with golden mustache infusion. With sore throat and runny nose, compresses prepared from crushed leaves of the golden mustache can be applied to the chest and back of the patient.

...

The course of taking golden mustache preparations for colds must be combined with other methods of treatment aimed at increasing the body's immunity and restoring its physical condition.

For various colds, a mixture of golden mustache with honey is taken. To prepare the medicine, side shoots-whiskers and large leaves are used. They are passed through a meat grinder and mixed with liquid honey in a ratio of 1: 1.

The medicine is taken 1 teaspoon 30 minutes before meals 3-4 times a day.

Otitis (inflammation of the middle ear) is a pathological condition that occurs when the eardrum is infected with pathogenic microbes. Most often it occurs as a complication against the background of infectious diseases (diphtheria, scarlet fever, measles, influenza, etc.).

There are three forms of this disease: otitis externa, otitis media and internal.

With external otitis, the infection penetrates the skin of the external auditory canal with burns, frostbite, insect bites, scratching, etc. The main symptom of the disease is severe itching. Less commonly, the patient complains of pain when pressing on the ear. Hearing usually does not get worse.

Otitis media is the most common. Children usually suffer from otitis media. Otitis media develops against the background of infectious diseases affecting the upper respiratory tract (ARI, influenza, etc.), as well as adenoids, deviated nasal septum, and polyps. The disease is manifested by an increase in body temperature, a sharp pain in the ear. In most cases, hearing loss is noted. Sometimes pus that forms in the middle ear breaks through the eardrum and flows out of the external auditory canal.

If you suspect otitis media, you should definitely consult a doctor who will prescribe the appropriate treatment. Otherwise, the disease may become chronic.

To prevent the development and to treat the disease, it is recommended to apply applications from the crushed leaves of the golden mustache to the area located behind the ear.

In addition, in case of acute pain, it is necessary to moisten cotton with fresh callisia juice and put it in the ear. After a while, the pain will subside, and after 3 days the inflammation will disappear.

pyoderma

Pyoderma is a skin disease characterized by purulent inflammation. The causative agents are staphylococci, streptococci, enterococci, E. coli, etc. Some common diseases contribute to the development of the disease - diabetes, blood and gastrointestinal diseases, as well as injuries, skin contamination, overheating or hypothermia. Depending on the pathogen and the depth of the skin lesion, deep and superficial staphyloderma and streptoderma are distinguished.

The most common superficial staphyloderma are:

- osteofolliculitis (a small abscess surrounded by reddening of the skin);

- folliculitis (small but painful pink-blue abscess);

- vulgar sycosis (multiple ostiofolliculitis and folliculitis, accompanied by blue skin).

Deep staphyloderma includes:

- furuncle (ulcer, large bladder filled with pus);

- carbuncle (accumulation of furuncles closely adjacent to each other, swelling of the skin is observed around and its acquisition of a bluish-purple color);

- hydradenitis (purulent inflammation of the sweat glands in the genital area, armpits, mammary glands, etc.).

Among the superficial streptoderma, streptococcal impetigo is most common, characterized by the appearance on the face of blisters filled with a cloudy liquid, which then shrink into yellowish or greenish-yellow crusts.

Deep streptoderma includes ecthyma vulgaris, which appears on the legs, buttocks, thighs and torso in the form of deep bubbles, which then shrink into purulent blood crusts. After 2-3 days, the ulcers disappear, leaving behind scars.

Among atypical skin diseases, chronic ulcerative pyoderma is distinguished. It is characterized by multiple painful ulcers on the skin of the legs and back of the feet, filled with pus and blood. Ulcers protrude above the level of the skin. After 2-3 weeks, the ulcers scar.

It is recommended to treat ulcers and blisters, as well as the skin around them, with a cotton swab dipped in an alcohol tincture of a golden mustache. At the same time, vitamin therapy and general strengthening drugs are taken. During illness, it is forbidden to wash. Hair in the affected areas is cut off. Osteofolliculitis and folliculitis are pierced, after which they are also smeared with an alcohol tincture of callisia.

Pneumonia

Pneumonia is a lung infection that causes inflammation of the airways. Its pathogens are various viruses and bacteria: pneumococci, streptococci, staphylococci.

Pneumonia is characterized by fever up to 39 ° C, chills, cough, first dry, then with sputum, respiratory failure. Sometimes there may be pain in the side.

Factors contributing to the disease of pneumonia are hypothermia, excessive physical and neuropsychic stress, intoxication and other conditions that lower the body's immune defenses and activate the microbial or viral flora in the upper respiratory tract.

Often pneumonia can be caused by smoking, as tobacco smoke is a catalyst for many substances in air pollution that cause lung damage.

Treatment of pneumonia is carried out under the supervision of a doctor and most often inpatient. The patient is prescribed antibiotics. You can also use an alcohol tincture of a golden mustache. The medicine is taken 1 dessert spoon 45 minutes before meals 3 times a day.

Skin cancer is one of the most dangerous malignant tumors. It develops from pigment-forming cells. First, a dark pigment spot appears on the skin or the color and structure of the mole changes, it begins to bleed at the slightest injury, and an ulcer appears.

As the disease progresses, dark related inclusions appear around the tumor. At a later stage of development, the lymph nodes located near the tumor gradually increase and become dense.

In the early stages of cancer, surgical treatment is successful. However, taking an infusion of the golden mustache and daily use of applications from freshly squeezed juice of this plant sometimes gives amazing results - the tumor can disappear without surgical intervention.

Rheumatism

Rheumatism is an infectious disease that affects the connective tissue. It can affect the internal organs, joints, muscles, nervous system, skin, etc. However, the cardiovascular system most often suffers from an infection that causes this disease.

Often, under the concept of "rheumatism" they mistakenly combine all diseases of the joints - arthritis, polyarthritis - the development of which is not associated with this infection, but occurs against the background of diseases such as syphilis, gonorrhea, gout, dysentery, etc.

Rheumatism most often affects children and adolescents, but a person can get sick with it at any age. True, with age, the risk of developing this disease significantly decreases.

The symptoms of the disease are different and depend on which organs are affected by the infection. Most often, patients suffer from damage to the connective tissue of the joints. In this case, they complain of severe pain in the ankle or knee joint. Less commonly, the hip and shoulder joints may be affected. The body temperature rises to 39-40 ° C, the joint swells, the skin turns red, shiny, becomes hot to the touch. The patient usually sweats a lot. After a few days, the disease can spread to another joint.

Golden mustache is an amazing Mexican plant known for its unique healing properties. In Russia, it first appeared in 1890, and this is only thanks to the botanist and geographer, the founder of the Batumi Reserve - Andrei Krasnov.

This plant has many names, the most famous of which are live hair, corn and homemade ginseng. Recently, the golden mustache has become very popular, due to the fact that many have learned about its medicinal properties and the fact that the plant can be grown on the windowsill without the need for special care.

The height of the stem reaches from 1 to 1.8 m, large bright emerald leaves are located on the fleshy main shoot in a spiral. When exposed to bright light, the leaves become pinkish in color. Flowering at home is extremely rare, but if this happens, it becomes possible to enjoy the pleasant fragrant aroma of small flowers collected in a hanging panicle.

A golden mustache or callisia can be taken outside in the spring, you can even plant it in open ground, however, in this case, there should be no other plants around within a radius of 70 cm. This is due to the fact that callisia spreads its lateral shoots in all directions and sprouts roots when in contact with the soil.

It is worth noting here that the golden mustache grows quite quickly, and young sprouts contribute to the rejuvenation of old plants. The cranked shoots of the plant contain the greatest healing value, despite the fact that every part, with the exception of the roots, has medicinal properties.

Useful properties of the golden mustache and its use in traditional medicine

The therapeutic effects of the plant are due to the content of biologically active substances in it (quercetin, phytosterol and kemeferol). In addition, the composition contains chromium, iron and copper.

  1. The plant effectively copes with various infections, removes toxins, slows down the natural aging process, normalizes metabolism, and also strengthens the immune system and circulatory system.
  2. The plant is recommended for gallbladder problems and pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract.
  3. Golden mustache is the best remedy for people who suffer from allergies and asthma, as the plant is able to fight the allergic reaction, preventing rashes and itching.
  4. Yes, what can I say, if even this amazing plant from Mexico was used.
  5. It quickly renews the skin after wounds and burns. The unique composition of the plant is used to treat varicose veins, periodontal disease, periodontitis, mastopathy, lactostasis, liver problems, ischemia and even Parkinson's disease.
  6. Therapeutic and prophylactic course of living hair helps to cope with such ailments as hemorrhoids, anemia, rheumatism, anemia, osteochondrosis and vasospasm.
  7. In the event of sexually transmitted infections, for example, ureaplasmosis, dysbacteriosis, mycoplasmosis, trichomonas, treatment with a golden mustache will not interfere.

Depending on the prescriptions of physicians, various parts of the plant can be selected for treatment, which will be used to create the most unexpected medicinal mixtures. They can be used to prepare tinctures, ointments, and decoctions, but recommendations for their use should be agreed with your doctor.

Alcohol tincture

When preparing medicines from plant stems, it must be borne in mind that it is the stem that contains a huge amount of active biological substances. Therefore, preparations that are prepared from the trunk of a golden mustache are used only for external use. So, for example, an alcohol tincture of 5 joints and 500 ml of 70% medical alcohol is used for pain in the joints.

For alcohol tincture, you need to take those plants on the mustaches of which at least 10 knots have formed. It is then that the concentration of medicinal substances is maximum. To prepare the tincture, you will need 30-40 internodes and a liter of vodka. Cut the side shoots, pour vodka, and leave for 10-15 days in a dark room, the tincture needs to be shaken periodically. You need to filter the tincture when it has become dark lilac. This tincture is stored in a dark and cool room.

If a mustache tincture is chosen for treatment, then it must be taken intermittently. For example, after taking a tincture for three weeks, you need to take a week break. Experts recommend during the break to cleanse the body with enterosorbents.

Oil tincture

To prepare an oil tincture, you will need the following ingredients: leaves, shoots and stem of a golden mustache, as well as vegetable oil. Grind the leaves, shoots and stem with a blender into a gruel, and pour hot oil (at the rate of 1: 2). Insist oil tincture in a dark place for at least 10 days.

Expert opinion

Golden mustache refers to medicinal plants that have a complex effect on the human body. Its positive effect on the immune system, the possession of a general strengthening effect have been confirmed, there is evidence of the antitumor activity of this plant. However, drugs based on the golden whisker must be used with some restrictions.

Alcohol tincture is used only as rubbing or compresses for the treatment of arthritis or arthrosis. Inside, such a medicine should not be used, since such a solution has a powerful nephrotoxic effect.

Infusion on water

Decoctions are prepared from all green parts of the plant.

  • Grind the leaves, send to the pan, pour water. Bring the mixture to a boil over low heat, remove from heat and leave for 6 hours. Strain the finished broth, store in a dark container, preferably glass, always cool.
  • To prepare this infusion, the joints of the plant are used, they will need from 20 to 30 pieces. Joints are poured with hot water and brought to a boil, after which the broth should be infused for 10 hours. The finished broth should be filtered and stored in a cool place in a glass container.

Such infusions are suitable for both internal and external use.

100 g of decoction orally 3 times a day can cope with stomach ulcers, diabetes, intestinal inflammation, pancreatitis.

For acne and various skin diseases, the decoction is applied externally: compresses and washings.

Do not forget that the medicinal properties of the plant have not been fully studied at the moment and it is reckless to consider the golden mustache as a cure for all diseases, completely refusing medical treatment. When using it at home, always be careful, especially if this treatment is chosen for children.

The plants growing in our homes are our friends and helpers, which delight the eye with their greenery, bizarre leaf shapes or a riot of flowers: in their company you rest your soul. But they also take care of our body: many indoor flowers have invaluable healing properties that allow you to heal even from serious diseases. This fully applies to a plant called the golden mustache - so ordinary in appearance, but so valuable for human health.

The scientific name of the golden mustache is fragrant callisia. This plant came to our window sills from the distant shady tropical forests of South America. There, this grass is intertwined with roots, forming a durable turf cover. The tropical guest received the name “golden mustache” closer to us thanks to thin shoots dividing into knees: these mustaches end with rosettes of young shoots, and with their help the plant reproduces in nature when, under the weight of the rosette, the mustache falls to the soil and takes root there.

Callisia can grow up to two meters high - however, this expression can be considered conditional, since under its weight in room conditions the flower, not finding support for shoots, will spread, so it would be more correct to designate its dimensions as length. The plant is raised on trellises, thin ladder stands, the stem is tied up.

Leaves similar to corn leave from it, their length can reach 30 cm and width - 6 cm. Under favorable conditions, the golden mustache can bloom: its small flowers have a delicate, noble hyacinth or lily aroma.

This flower has many other names, among which the most eloquent is "homemade ginseng". The reason is the benefits that the golden mustache brings to its owners. And all thanks to the richest composition of natural substances that affect all tissues of the human body.

This flower is rich:

  • kaempferol;
  • flavonoids;
  • phytosterols;
  • vitamins;
  • trace elements.

Among the vitamins, we can mention C and B, as well as B 3, better known as nicotinic acid, or niacin. Trace elements are chromium, iron, zinc, magnesium and others.

Golden mustache improves the condition of blood vessels and the cardiovascular system. Flavonoids heal the vascular walls, make them more durable and elastic, preventing phlebitis and varicose veins. Vitamin B 3 eliminates vascular inflammation, has a beneficial effect on peripheral circulation, expanding the capillary network. Trace elements strengthen the heart muscle.

Kaempferol helps to eliminate inflammation and the fastest removal of pathogenic microorganisms due to its diuretic properties.

A natural diuretic, mild but effective, it improves the functioning of the kidneys and the entire urinary system, as a result of which edema passes faster. If we add to this the antibacterial and antiseptic properties of the golden mustache, then everything together makes it indispensable in the treatment of cystitis and urethritis.

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C), together with an extensive group of B vitamins, has an immunostimulating effect on the body, helping to get out even with the most severe vitamin deficiencies. Trace elements act as assistants in the fight against iron deficiency anemia.

The main contraindication to the use of preparations made on a golden mustache is individual sensitivity. If a person has not previously taken medicines based on this herb, you need to make a test: apply a little substance on the wrist or the inner surface of the elbow bend. Redness, itching, burning, swelling and other manifestations of an allergic reaction are a signal that this person needs to refrain from taking homemade ginseng.

Other contraindications:

  1. Pregnancy. Golden mustache can stimulate uterine tone, which is unacceptable, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy. Also, funds can undesirably affect the intrauterine development of the fetus.
  2. breastfeeding period. The substances contained in the preparations, through mother's milk, will enter the digestive tract of the baby and into his blood. And for kids, this tool is completely useless.
  3. Junior school age(although some sources say that it is better not to drink or use a golden mustache until the onset of puberty - 14-15 years).
  4. Benign prostatic hyperplasia. The plant has high regenerative properties, it accelerates cell growth, so the adenoma may not disappear, but only increase, which can further lead to urinary problems, prostatitis, malignant degeneration of the prostate.

One can come across allegations that prolonged internal use of the golden mustache leads to coarsening of the vocal cords and a change in voice, but there is no medical confirmation. Most likely, the reason for such changes is that with excessive consumption of infusions, the hormonal background in women may change, or simply the alcohol base affects the throat.

Golden mustache is used to treat many diseases of internal organs, bones and joints, blood vessels. It is used to increase the immune status and hemoglobin, improve hematopoiesis and blood composition. They take the remedy for colds and bruises, pneumonia and hemorrhoids - but the main thing is that before that you should definitely consult your doctor.

The components that make up the golden mustache allow it to be used in the treatment of:

  • inflammatory processes;
  • burns;
  • wound surfaces;
  • eczema, seborrhea and other dermatological problems;
  • various diseases of the musculoskeletal system;
  • pulmonary, renal and hepatic dysfunctions;
  • gynecological and andrological problems;
  • diseases of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • endocrine disorders.

A variety of dosage forms used orally and externally are made from the plant, as well as cosmetics that improve the condition of the skin and hair.

By the way, ophthalmology is probably the only branch of medicine where the use of a golden mustache is considered ineffective, although harmless. Means prepared from its leaves and stems do not at all increase visual acuity, and certainly cannot affect farsightedness or myopia. And in the case of glaucoma or cataracts, the useless reception of a golden mustache can cause invaluable time to be lost, during which the disease could be cured without complications and at an early stage.

Industrial pharmacology does not use this plant as a medicinal raw material, but in pharmacies you can see infusions and tinctures from various parts of the flower.

It is difficult to find a disease for which there would be no remedy made from a golden mustache. But treatment must be approached reasonably and observed in all measure: even the most effective and useful medicine, if used incorrectly, can become useless at best, and harmful at worst.

Malignant neoplasms are a very serious topic, every step in diagnosis and treatment is important here. But the main thing is time. The sooner the process of uncontrolled cell division is detected, the more successful the fight against cancer will be.

In oncological diseases, golden mustache should be taken with caution, as it affects cellular activity. There are recipes from this plant to fight breast cancer. It is likely to be useful in leukemias (leukemias). In all cases, the main treatment should be carried out by doctors using traditional medicine and modern scientific methods to destroy cancer cells.

Medical sources point out the inadmissibility of the lack of proper treatment when diagnosing an oncological disease and the replacement of radiology, chemotherapy and other applied therapeutic methods by taking a golden mustache. It can be used as an additional remedy for complex treatment after consultation with the attending physician.

The most popular recipe is an alcohol (vodka) tincture directly from the mustache. This remedy is used for venous inflammation and circulatory disorders - phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins, superficial and deep. Such a tincture is useful for inflammation of the lungs, bronchitis and other respiratory diseases, as well as osteochondrosis, injuries, impaired blood formation and simply general weakness of the body and depression of its defenses.

To prepare such a tincture, one mustache is needed, containing at least nine cranked joints. It is cut, washed and crushed.

By the way, the stories that no metals should come into contact with the prepared agent, so as not to reduce its effectiveness, are not scientifically confirmed. The sap of the plant is not chemically active enough to instantly react with iron (more precisely, steel, from which most cutting kitchen utensils are made) and immediately oxidize or otherwise change its properties.

With a sharp knife, the mustache is cut into small fragments and poured into a jar (bottle) of dark glass. Most often, they take a bottle of champagne for this. Vegetable raw materials are poured with vodka (a half-liter bottle is enough). Vodka should be taken clean, without any additives, especially tinctures.

The product during ripening (and it will reach two weeks) is out of direct sunlight, at a moderate temperature, tightly corking a glass container. The peculiarity of the preparation is that this mixture will need to be shaken daily. After two weeks, the tincture is filtered, poured into any glass dish with an airtight lid and placed in a refrigerator or a dark, cool place.

An accelerated recipe for preparing this tincture is that the green mass is passed through a meat grinder or juicer, and the resulting juice in an amount of 50 ml is mixed with 500 ml of vodka. In this case, the ripening process is accelerated by almost half.

Take the finished tincture twice a day, morning and evening, 30 drops per 150 ml or half a glass of water. You need to drink the remedy before meals, about half an hour before meals. After a ten-day course of admission, a break is made for the same time, and if necessary, the reception is resumed.

The color of the tincture may seem unusual, but the plant pigments contained in the flower give it a lilac-violet hue.

An external remedy - an ointment from a golden mustache - is used both for skin diseases, and for burns and wounds, as well as to accelerate the resorption of hematomas. It is prepared both from juice or crushed green mass, and from a dried and powdered plant.

  1. Method one. Dry mustaches are ground, filled with vegetable oil, after 20 days the mixture is filtered and applied as needed. Stored in the refrigerator.
  2. Method two. A mustache cut into pieces (at least 12 knees) is folded into earthenware (preferably special for ovens, heat-resistant) and poured with olive oil. You can take 500 ml of oil only, but it is better to get by with a glass. After eight hours of languishing in an oven heated to 40 ° C, the pot is removed, and the mass, after cooling, is filtered under pressure and mixed with petroleum jelly, butter, goose fat or other improvised natural fat without additives. Store this ointment in the refrigerator in a glass jar.

In case of diseases and injuries, it is applied with light movements, without covering with a bandage. It is also used for varicose veins - no compresses! If you need to dissolve a hematoma or a dense infiltrate (after painful multiple injections into the buttock, for example), you need to rub more actively. A slight soreness will be observed only at the beginning. But if the pain is very strong, you need to rub the ointment carefully.

For colds and diseases of the stomach and intestines, they drink a decoction of a golden mustache: a long 15-knee shoot is cut and poured with a liter of boiling water in a thermos. After cooling, filter and drink a tablespoon before meals. To combat cough, hot strained broth is mixed with honey - a tablespoon per glass. Drink half a glass in the morning and evening.

Alcohol tincture from the golden mustache helps with many diseases

Golden mustache for a long time grew up with me as a poor relative. Everyone was disturbed by his rapidly growing mustache, and the stem itself continually strove to escape from the pot if it was not tied up in time. Irritated at times strongly and everything was going to say goodbye to him, but it was a pity - he was alive, after all. Attitude towards him changed after her husband developed severe back pain - herniated discs. Nights without sleep, pills if they help, then not for long.

On the advice of a familiar granny, she made a tincture of vodka from the leaves and joints of a golden mustache. I was going to rub it, but since the surface for application is large - the back and leg (the pain gave off to the leg), I decided to first try it on a small area to check the skin reaction. I smeared it with a small spot on the inside of the elbow - everything is fine. Started treatment. I rubbed alcohol tincture into my husband's spine and sore leg every evening until it turned slightly red. Then she covered it with a cotton scarf and a woolen shawl on top. The pain subsided both in the back and in the leg, which made it possible for the husband to sleep until the morning.

Of course, it cannot be said that we cured hernias with a golden mustache, since we were treated simultaneously with several means, but the tincture anesthetizes and relieves inflammation - there is no doubt about it.

Application in home cosmetology

For skin care, the antiseptic and blood circulation-improving properties of the golden mustache are used. For the treatment of acne, dandruff and hair loss, alcohol tincture and freshly squeezed juice are used. The face is rubbed with tincture, and the juice is rubbed into the scalp. To soften the heels and elbows, as well as with weathered skin of the face and hands, golden mustache oil is used. Face masks with the addition of juice or gruel from the mustache and leaves have a nourishing and moisturizing effect. With regular use of masks, a rejuvenating effect is manifested - the skin becomes more elastic, smooth and radiant.

By adding various ingredients to the juice or infusion from the golden mustache, you can get care products for any type of skin.

Means with a golden mustache have a drying effect, so if you have oily skin, use the tincture and juice of the plant, and if you have dry skin, use oil.

Nourishing face mask recipe

1 egg yolk, 3 teaspoons of golden mustache juice, 50 g of honey and 50 g of linseed or olive oil, mix thoroughly and heat slightly in a water bath. Apply the mask on the face and leave for 2-3 minutes, apply again - do this until the mixture is over. Hold the mask on your face for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Tonic for normal and dry skin

Dilute one tablespoon of golden mustache juice and strawberry juice in 1 glass of boiled water. Add a teaspoon of glycerin and stir. Wipe pre-cleansed face skin in the morning and evening. Store 3-5 days in the refrigerator.

If the skin is oily, strawberry juice can be replaced with alcohol tincture of calendula.
