Claude Groux, two-time Mr. Canada title winner, has his own system. It combines drop sets and partial repetitions.

You should choose one exercise for your legs, says Claude. - Just one thing. Let's say leg press. So, first there is a warm-up set - 20 repetitions, then a second - 15, after that a set with maximum weight - 8-10 repetitions until absolute “failure”. Now comes the turn of partial repetitions. I do five partial reps, then my partner takes off about 20% of the weight and I do five more partial reps. Then I just fall out of the machine straight onto the floor...

Using this technique, Claude does three sets of any leg exercise: hack squats, leg extensions, leg curls, etc. He emphasizes that his method can only be used on one exercise per workout. Otherwise, you risk inadvertently crossing that invisible line beyond which overtraining begins.
