Northwestern chord: construction, scheme. Northeast Chord

Along the section of the North-Eastern Expressway (SVKh) from the Entuziastov Highway to the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) started the movement transport. The new route will redistribute traffic flows and reduce the load on outbound highways.

“In fact, this is one of the most difficult sections of the North-Eastern Expressway and, in general, of any road construction in Moscow: a huge number of communications of existing enterprises, connections with the railway, the site itself is very difficult. This is the largest and longest overpass in the city - 2.5 kilometers of a straight line, as well as the most important section. It will improve transport accessibility for a million people living in about ten districts of Moscow, including those beyond the Moscow Ring Road: Nekrasovka, Kosino-Ukhtomsky and a number of other districts, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.

The section of the North-Eastern Expressway from the Entuziastov Highway to the Moscow Ring Road began to be built in February 2016 and completed in September 2018. it twice as fast normative period of construction.

“Next, we will connect sections of the chord in the north and create a new city highway. By the way, this is one of the few sections that does not run along existing corridors, but creates, in fact, a new corridor. It will improve the situation on Shchelkovskoye and Otkrytoye Highways, as well as on the Entuziastov Highway and the Moscow Ring Road. The most important section, the most important highway,” added the Mayor of Moscow.

Six lanes and no traffic lights

A traffic-free six-lane highway runs from the existing temporary storage warehouse section at the intersection with the Entuziastov Highway, then from the northern side of the Kazan direction of the Moscow Railway (MZD) to the exit to the Kosinskaya flyover of the Moscow Ring Road. Total paved 1 1,8 kilometers of roads, including six flyovers.

On this site chords were built the longest overpass in Moscow— 2.5 kilometers of direct travel from the Plyushchevo railway platform to the overpass-exit from Perovskaya Street to the temporary storage warehouse.

“This is one of the most difficult sections, because 2.5 kilometers are artificial structures in the form of an overpass running parallel to the railway. This is the most difficult element that we had to implement during construction,” said Petr Aksenov, First Deputy Head of the Moscow City Construction Department.

Thanks to this engineering solution, it was possible to preserve the existing regional road network. In addition, the overpass can be used to cross the tracks of the Kazan direction of the Moscow Railways.

The structure includes:

- overpass of the main passage No. 1 (1.8 kilometers, three lanes in each direction) and two single-lane overpasses (each - 143 meters). They provide traffic without traffic lights at the intersection with the railway tracks of the Gorky direction of the Moscow Railways and exits to Kuskovskaya Street;

— the left overpass of the main passage No. 2 (740 meters, three lanes in each direction), which provides entry from Budyonny Avenue and traffic along the straight line of the temporary storage warehouse towards the Moscow Ring Road;

— the right overpass of the main passage No. 2 (650 meters, three lanes in each direction) provides access to Budyonny Avenue and a promising direction towards Ryazansky Avenue along the tracks of the Moscow Central Ring (MCC).

In addition, a flyover No. 3 (204 meters, two traffic lanes in each direction) appeared, along which you can go from the temporary storage warehouse to Perovskaya Street.

Also built or reconstructed congresses to adjacent streets and access roads with a total length of more than four kilometers.

From the residential area in the area of Kuskovskaya and Anosova streets, as well as near the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Veshnyaki, noise barriers three meters high and over one and a half kilometers long.

Pedestrian crossings

The most important part of the project was the construction and reconstruction of pedestrian crossings. Through the new spacious passage under the temporary storage warehouse, residents of Veshnyakov can comfortable to get to the metro station and railway platform Vykhino.

The reconstructed pedestrian crossing in the area of 4th Veshnyakovsky passage connects with the Assumption Church and the Veshnyakovsky cemetery.

The transition in the area of the Plyushchevo railway platform is useful for those who like to walk in Kuskovo estate park.

New transport artery

The construction of the temporary storage warehouse section from the Entuziastov highway to the Moscow Ring Road made it possible to redistribute traffic flows and reduce the load on outbound routes— Ryazansky Prospekt, Entuziastov Highway and Shchelkovskoye Highway, as well as to the eastern sectors of the Moscow Ring Road and the Third Transport Ring (TTK).

In addition, the transport situation in southeast and east sectors of the city, entry into Moscow for residents of the Kosino-Ukhtomsky and Nekrasovka districts located outside the Moscow Ring Road, as well as for residents of the city of Lyubertsy, Moscow Region, has become much easier. In the future, the section of the chord will provide a direct connection with the understudy of the federal highway Moscow - Kazan.

North-Eastern chord will link the new route M11 Moscow- St. Petersburg with the Kosinskaya flyover (namely, the interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy highway). The road will connect the largest highways of the city: MKAD, Entuziastov highway, Izmailovskoe, Shchelkovskoe, Yaroslavskoe, Altufevskoe, Otkrytoe and Dmitrovskoe highways.

In addition, from the chord it will be possible to go to 15 large Moscow streets, including Festivalnaya, Selskokhozyaistvennaya streets, Berezovaya alley, 3rd Nizhnelikhoborsky passage, Amurskaya, Shcherbakovskaya, Perovskaya, Yunosti, Papernika and others.

Near Bolshaya Akademicheskaya street The North-Eastern chord will connect with the North-West, and in the area of the Entuziastov Highway - with the projected South-East. Thus, the North-Eastern chord will provide diagonal connection north, east and southeast of the capital. This will relieve the city center, the Third Ring Road, the Moscow Ring Road and outbound highways.

The route of the new chord will pass through 28 districts Moscow and 10 large industrial areas. With the accession to one of the most important transport arteries of the capital, these industrial zones will also receive prospects for development.

The North-Eastern Chord will allow personal and public transport to drive up to 12 transport hubs, 21 metro and MCC stations, as well as the platforms of the Savelovsky and Kazansky directions of the Moscow Railway.

The length of the main route of the North-East Expressway will be about 35 kilometers. In total, taking into account the exits and the reconstruction of the road network, it is planned to build more 100 kilometers of roads 70 flyovers, bridges and tunnels (with a total length of about 40 kilometers) and 16 pedestrian crossings. Now, as part of the construction of the North-Eastern Expressway, 69 kilometers of roads 58 artificial structures (length 28 kilometers) and 13 pedestrian crossings.

At the moment, the construction of sections of the North-Eastern Expressway has been completed:

— from Businovskaya transport interchange to Festivalnaya street;

- from Izmailovsky to Schelkovo highway;

— from Enthusiasts Highway to Izmailovsky Highway;

- from the Enthusiasts highway to the Moscow Ring Road.

Contractors have two-year warranty obligations, despite the fact that all acts are accepted and signed.

“Contractors are not leaving, they have a number of works related to the railway at the new substation. This substation connects the second stage of the North-Eastern chord, which runs from Otkrytoye to Yaroslavskoe highway,” said Petr Aksenov.

Soon, traffic will be opened along the section of the North-Eastern Expressway from Festivalnaya Street to Dmitrovskoye Highway.

Sections of the chord from Dmitrovskoye to Yaroslavskoye and from Yaroslavskoye to Otkrytoye Highway are also being designed. As part of these sections, about 33 kilometers of roads.

Four chords

The chord lines are key element new road frame of Moscow, which has been created in the city for the last eight years. New chords are about 300 kilometers of new roads, 127 flyovers, bridges and tunnels and more 50 pedestrian crossings.

It is planned to build four such highways:

northwest chord— from Skolkovskoye to Dmitrovskoye highway;

northeast chord- from the new highway M11 Moscow - St. Petersburg to the Kosinskaya overpass;

southeast chord— from Entuziastov Highway to Polyany Street;

Southern Rocade- from Rublevsky highway to Kapotnya.

This autumn, the North-Eastern and North-Western chords in Moscow will be connected by a turning overpass on Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street. Pyotr Aksenov, First Deputy Head of the Construction Department, told journalists about this when he visited one of the sections of the North-Eastern Expressway under construction.

As RG already wrote, the metropolitan chords can be compared with the Moscow Ring Road or the Third Transport Ring in terms of the scale of construction and the impact on city traffic. They will save Muscovites from tens of kilometers of reruns, which they are now forced to do in order to get to the neighboring area. Chords will allow you to cross the city through and through, without stopping at the historical center. Both highways will be free.

In particular, the SZH will run from Dmitrovsky to Skolkovskoye highway, and the SZH will run from the Moscow-St. Petersburg toll road to the interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road and the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy interchange. After the highways are fully launched, the load on the outbound routes, according to the calculations of the NI and PI of the General Plan of Moscow, will decrease by 20-25 percent.

Separate sections of chords are already used by motorists, and some of their elements are still being completed. For example, the junction of Festivalnaya Street and Dmitrovskoye Highway. It is almost 11 km long, and half of this path goes along bridges and flyovers. Artificial structures were specially designed so that they went as far as possible from the houses and did not cause inconvenience to their inhabitants. Nevertheless, just in case, in the skyscrapers of the northeast, builders replaced 6,000 windows with silent ones. However, construction is already over. Visually, the overpasses are almost ready, there is still something left to finish on the engineering side.

We have indeed completed 90 percent of the work, Aksenov said. - But there was a slight delay. On one of the plots there is the Khovrinsky pumping station, where communications need to be shifted. In winter, this could not be done so that 3.5 thousand local residents, whose houses are powered by it, do not suffer.

Turning off the station, it turned out, is possible only on May 15. According to Aksenov, it is possible to launch the northern section of the chord by the City Day in September. This will complete the work for almost the entire length of the temporary storage warehouse. Construction is still ongoing on the section between Schelkovskoye and Otkrytoye Highways.

In the near future, in the southwest of the city, the North-Eastern passage will connect with the North-West. In the area of Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street, it is planned to build several connecting overpasses at once. The first of them, a reversal, will be completed in October this year. It allows you to drive from one chord track to another without wasting time on a detour along the Dmitrov highway. Let me note that the Moscow authorities expect to complete both chords by 2020-2021.

The next and most difficult section of the North-Eastern Chord is planned to be commissioned in 2018. It will connect the M11 Moscow-Petersburg toll highway and Dmitrovskoe highway. Today, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin inspected the progress of the road construction and was pleased with the pace of work.

“We have begun the most difficult section of the Moscow road network. One lot to st. We have already done the festival one, now we have started the second section, which almost entirely consists of flyovers, overpasses, tunnels and a bridge. We hope that in 2018 we will finish it, ”the Moscow agency quotes the mayor.

It is not the first or even the second year that Moscow has been building three major roads - the North-Eastern chord, the North-Western and the Southern rokada. However, as it turned out, not all citizens know what it is and why it is needed. So MOSLENTA decided to remind and start from the North-East.

Where and where

The North-Eastern chord (another name is the "Northern Rocade") will connect the south-east and north of Moscow along the periphery, i.e. the most densely populated areas of the city. It began to be built as a continuation of the only already erected section of the Fourth Transport Ring (ChTK, it was abandoned). The route will also connect major highways of the northeast: Izmailovskoye, Shchelkovskoye, Dmitrovskoye, Altufevskoye and Otkrytoe shosse, which will reduce traffic congestion.

The total length of the road will be 29 km. The chord will run from the M11 Moscow-Petersburg toll highway from the western side of the Oktyabrskaya Railway, along the Small Ring of the Moscow Railway to a new interchange on the Moscow Ring Road at the intersection with the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy highway.

The section of the North-East Expressway under construction from Festivalnaya Street to Dmitrovskoye Highway

Conventionally, it is divided into several sections, which are now in different stages of readiness:

From Businovskaya Interchange to Festivalnaya Street (opened in 2014);

From Festivalnaya Street to Dmitrovskoye Highway (under construction, inspected today);

From Dmitrovsky to Yaroslavskoe highway (projected);

From Yaroslavskoe to Otkrytoye shosse (routing not defined);

From Otkrytoye to Shchelkovo highway (projected);

From Shchelkovsky to Izmailovskoye highway (under construction);

From Izmailovsky highway to Enthusiasts highway (under construction);

From the Entuziastov highway to the interchange at 8 km of the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy MKAD (projected).

Associated infrastructure

The northeastern chord is being built at a rapid pace. In September, a year earlier than planned, several objects were put into operation at once on the section from Shchelkovskoye to Izmailovsky Highway: two flyovers of the main passage and one as part of a three-level interchange at the intersection of the chord with Shchelkovskoye Highway. This section will be completed by the end of the year.

Also, a lot of additional road infrastructure will be built on the road:

Overpass of the main passage No. 1, 333 meters long with four lanes;

The left overpass of the main passage No. 2, 1.5 kilometers long, with four traffic lanes;

The right overpass of the main passage No. 2, 1.56 kilometers long, with four traffic lanes;

Overpass of the main passage No. 4 with a length of 600 meters with three traffic lanes in each direction;

Three ramps-congress with a total length of 977 meters;

Railway overpass 189 meters long on the connecting branch of the Oktyabrskaya railway;

The bridge over the Likhoborka River is 169 meters long with six traffic lanes in one direction and five in the opposite direction. Such a width of the bridge is needed to connect the next section of the chord - from Dmitrovsky highway to Yaroslavsky.

Pumping station "Khovrinskaya", serving the districts of Khovrino, Koptevo, Savelovsky, Timiryazevsky;

Underground pedestrian crossing at the platform of the Oktyabrskaya railway;

Two treatment facilities;

Five thousand window blocks will be replaced with soundproof ones.

Benefit

The highway, together with all these facilities, should make life easier for four million citizens, the authorities are sure. For example, end-to-end communication will be established between the regions of the South-Eastern Administrative District, the Northern Administrative District and the Eastern Administrative District, bypassing the center, and new public transport routes will appear. It will be especially convenient for residents of the Golovinsky, Koptevo and Timiryazevsky districts.

A definite plus for drivers is that traffic will be traffic-free. The average travel time will be reduced by more than 15 percent, the MKAD will be unloaded by 20-25 percent, and the traffic flows of the Third Ring Road, Shchelkovskoye Highway, Entuziastov Highway, as well as Ryazansky and Volgogradsky Avenues will be intelligently redistributed. Well, traveling along the M11 Moscow-Petersburg highway will not need to look for ways to the center.

Design History

The idea of creating chords in Moscow was proposed in the first half of the 20th century. In the 1930s, the well-known planner and urbanist Anatoly Yakshin spoke about them. Later, already in the 1970s, his students, including the leading Russian expert in the field of transport planning Alexander Strelnikov, again returned to the discussion of this topic.

Although at that time there were few cars on the streets of the capital, even then they thought that their number would grow. Therefore, the concept of chords was laid down in the general plan of the city in 1971. In addition to the Moscow Ring Road and the Garden Ring, two new ring roads and four high-speed chord highways were designed in it. However, then the projects remained on paper. Gradually, sections were built up on which they were going to build roads, and the money was eventually invested in the Third Transport Ring, and then in the Fourth.

The idea to build chords was resurrected only in 2011. Then the authorities abandoned the construction of the Fourth Transport Ring, which was previously included in the general plan. The main reason is the exorbitant cost, which exceeded a trillion rubles.

Instead of the ChTK, they were going to build three new highways: the North-Western chord, the North-Eastern chord (another name is the Northern Rocade) and the Southern Rokada. These roads should eventually form an open ring system. The result will be the same ring, but more efficient in terms of the distribution of traffic flows, because each element will go to the Moscow Ring Road. According to experts, this principle of organizing traffic is 20 percent more efficient than a closed ring road. In addition, three new chords will not pass through the congested city center.

Data provided by the official portal of the Moscow Stroykompleks

Since the beginning of June, traffic has been opened on the new Krylatsky Bridge, which is part of the Southern Section of the North-Western Chord in the section from the Leningrad Highway with access to Nizhniye Mnevniki Street - Krylatskaya Street.

To date, the construction of the SZH, which will significantly improve traffic conditions in the northern and western districts of the capital, is in full swing. This is an infrastructural megaproject, comparable in scale to the construction of the Third Ring Road. For information: the total length of the road network in the framework of the construction of the Northern Protection Zone is 79 km, the length of the Third Ring Road is 35.1 km. That is, only one North-Western chord (with the entire cascade of the road network under construction) is twice as long as the Third Ring Road.

1. The construction of this section will improve the transport situation in ZAO and SZAO, the districts of Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, Krylatskoye, Kuntsevo, Filevsky Park and increase the traffic capacity of vehicles up to 30% on the road network of these areas. In addition to the new Krylatsky bridge, a new girder bridge is being built through lock No. Moscow.

2. The construction of the North-Western Expressway will provide an additional trunk connection between the districts, thereby expanding the possibilities of access by ground public transport to the four existing metro lines: Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya, Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya, Zamoskvoretskaya, Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya and, in the future, to the Big Circle Line under construction . In addition, an alternative route for motorists will be created, which will provide a connection between the North-East Administrative District, the Northern Administrative District, the North-West Administrative District and the Closed Joint-Stock Company.

3. “Construction of the North-Western Expressway from Dmitrovskoye Highway to Michurinsky Prospekt is basically completed, a few objects remain. Today we are launching one of these objects. This is the Krylatsky Bridge, which will improve the throughput of this section. In general, the North-Western Expressway is 80 kilometers of roads,” said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

4. The length of the new Krylatsky bridge is 282 meters. It began to be built in December 2016 from the lower side of the existing bridge parallel to it, at a distance between spans of 1.3 m (in the area of support No. 4, the dimension narrows to 0.65 m).

5. The first, currently existing, Krylatsky bridge was built in 1984 according to the project of B. A. Gorozhanin by the team of Mostootryad No. 4.

6. The main reconstruction provides for the expansion of Nizhniye Mnevniki Street from two to three traffic lanes in each direction. The estimated speed of the flow of road transport is 60-80 km/h.

7. It remains to wait for the completion of the construction of the bridge through the gateway and the completion of the reconstruction of Nizhniye Mnevniki Street.

8. The North-Western Expressway is a new high-speed highway that will pass through the northern and western regions of Moscow: from Dmitrovskoye to Skolkovskoye Highway and further to Michurinsky Prospekt. It will connect major highways: Michurinsky Prospekt, Skolkovskoye, Mozhayskoye, Rublevskoye, Zvenigorodskoye, Volokolamskoye, Leningradskoye and Dmitrovskoye Highways.

In the area of Dmitrovskoye Highway, it will be possible to conveniently drive from the North-West to the North-Eastern Chord - either towards Sheremetyevo Airport or towards the Yaroslavl Highway. It will also reduce (by about 15 percent) the traffic load on a number of central streets, the Third Transport Ring, the Moscow Ring Road and adjacent sections of outbound highways. And the mileage of cars when traveling between neighboring areas will be reduced by about ten percent.

It is planned to open traffic on two sections of the North-Eastern Expressway by the beginning of autumn. Within the next month, the initial section from the Businovskaya interchange to the Dmitrovskoye highway will go, and by the beginning of autumn it is also planned to launch traffic along the final section of the route - from the Entuziastov highway to the Moscow Ring Road.

Read about the stage of readiness of the sections of the North-Eastern Expressway and when they are supposed to be opened in the material of the Moscow 24 portal.

From Businovskaya interchange to Dmitrovskoye highway

Now the road between Dmitrovskoye Highway, Festivalnaya Street and Businovskaya interchange is almost ready, the builders are finishing the construction of a 200-meter section near the Khovrinsky pumping station.

“The Khovrinsky pumping station, which provided more than three and a half thousand consumers, fell into the construction zone. We built a new station, but we were able to disconnect all systems from the previous one only on May 15 of this year, and we began to build a two-hundred-meter section in a forced manner. We expect that we will finish in September. We will strive to open traffic for the City Day," Petr Aksenov, First Deputy Head of the Construction Department, told the Moscow 24 portal.

What is ready on the section from Dmitrovskoye Highway to Festivalnaya Street?

More than 11 kilometers of a four-lane road of the main course, seven overpasses, two of which are one and a half kilometers long and exits - from 300 to 500 meters long, were built on the site. They built a new overpass across the Oktyabrskaya railway and a bridge across the Likhoborka River.

“At the same time, the construction of the overpass across the railway went on without stopping the movement of trains,” said the first deputy head of Depstroy.

They also took care of protection from highway noise. “We have replaced 6,000 window blocks and will also build about 2 kilometers of noise barriers,” Aksyonov promised. Trees will be planted along the road, he said.

In October, a turning overpass will be built on Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street, connecting the North-Eastern chord with the North-Western one. "The flyover on Bolshaya Akademicheskaya is the first part of the connection of two chords. It makes it possible to turn around on Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street and drive onto the North-Eastern chord without stopping at Dmitrovskoye Highway," Aksenov said.

From the highway of Enthusiasts to the interchange with the Moscow Ring Road "Veshnyaki - Lyubertsy"

In September, it is planned to open traffic along one more section of the North-Eastern Expressway: from the Entuziastov Highway to the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy interchange on the Moscow Ring Road. Here, the old traction substation of the Gorky direction of the Moscow railway became a stumbling block. According to Petr Aksenov, the city government has agreed with the Moscow Railway to demolish the substation and build a new one.

"The traction substation was turned off and switched to a new one, after which they began to complete the construction of the road. Full traffic from the Enthusiasts Highway to the interchange with the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy MKAD will open in early autumn," he promised.

From Open to Shchelkovo highway

By the end of the year, the city authorities plan to open traffic from Otkrytoye to Shchelkovo highway. Here, overpasses of the main passage and side passages were built. As well as the tunnel under the Shchelkovo highway, which is going to open in the coming months. According to Petr Aksenov, the construction of roads with a length of more than eight kilometers with the relocation of engineering communications is in full swing.

"On the section of the first section, traffic is planned to be opened within the next month. The main work of the first stage of construction has been completed. It includes laying about 5.5 kilometers of roads, including the construction of three overpasses about 3.4 kilometers long," the official said.

He also noted that due to the commissioning of a new section, traffic flows between Shchelkovskoye and Otkrytoye Highways will be redistributed. This will reduce the traffic load on Bolshaya Cherkizovskaya, Stromynka, Krasnobogatyrskaya streets and Rusakovskaya embankment. In addition, the transport accessibility of the Golyanovo and Metrogorodok districts will increase.

From Dmitrovskoye Highway to Yaroslavskoye Highway

Next year, construction of a section of the North-Eastern Expressway from Dmitrovskoye to Yaroslavskoye Highway may begin.

"The planning project passed public hearings, finally received approval from the Moscow government, now designing is underway. The site is very complex, there is a bunch of large industrial enterprises and a huge number of engineering networks. We are doing everything possible to start construction next year," said the first deputy head Depstroy.

He stressed that the design of the site and the release of the territory will be carried out at the expense of budget money. "We are already starting to work: demolishing garages and interacting with industrial enterprises that fall into the construction zone," Aksyonov said.

At the same time, there is a proposal from investors to build a road from Dmitrovsky to Yaroslavl highway on a concession basis, but a final decision on this issue has not yet been made, he explained.

From Open to Yaroslavl Highway

The only section of the North-Eastern Expressway on which no work is being carried out yet is from Otkrytoye to Yaroslavskoye Highway.

“The problem is that, presumably, the road should pass through the Losiny Ostrov National Park, while there is no final decision on the tracing of the section. .
