Instructions. You are drifting on a yacht in the South Pacific Ocean. As a result of the fire, most of the yacht and its cargo were destroyed. The yacht is slowly sinking. Your position is unclear due to the failure of the main navigational instruments, but you are approximately 1000 miles southwest of the nearest land.

Below is a list of 15 items that remained intact and undamaged after the fire. In addition to these items, you have a sturdy inflatable life raft with oars, large enough to support you, your entire party, and all the items listed below. The property of the survivors is a pack of cigarettes, several boxes of matches and five thousand banknotes.

Your task is to classify the 15 items listed below according to their survival value. Put a 1 for the most important item, a 2 for the second most important, and so on up to 15, the least important to you.

The next stage is to discuss your salvation and classify the items in pairs.

After the group has reported its readiness, the opinions of experts (real researchers, travelers, rescuers of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations) are read out.

Expert opinion. The main things a shipwrecked person needs in the ocean are items to attract attention and items to help him survive until rescuers arrive. Without alarm systems there is almost no chance of being detected and rescued. In addition, in most cases, rescuers arrive within the first 36 hours, and a person can survive this period without food and water, so they are less valuable.

List of items

1. Shaving mirror - important for signaling to sea and air rescuers.

2. Canister of oil and gas mixture. Important for signaling. Can be lit (outside the raft, of course) with thousand-dollar bills and a match and will float through the water, attracting the attention of rescuers.

3. A canister of water will quench your thirst.

4. 1 box of army ration provides basic nutrition

5. 20 square meters of opaque polyethylene is used to collect rainwater, providing protection from the elements.

6. 2 boxes of chocolate - food reserve.

7. Fishing tackle - rated lower than chocolate, because in this situation “a bird in the hand is better than a pie in the sky.”

8. 15 meters of nylon rope can be used to tie down equipment to prevent it from falling overboard.

9. An inflatable cushion - if someone falls overboard, it can serve as a lifesaving device.

10. Shark repellant - the purpose is obvious.

11. 1 bottle of rum 80º strength - contains 80º alcohol - enough to be used as a possible antiseptic for any injuries, in other situations it has little value, because consumption may cause dehydration.

12. A small transistor radio has little value because... no transmitter.

13. Maps of the Pacific Ocean are useless without additional navigational aids. It is more important for you to know not where you are, but where the rescuers are.

14. Mosquito Net - There are no mosquitoes in the Pacific Ocean.

15. Sextant - without tables and a chronometer, it is relatively useless.

After we have found out the difference with the opinion of the rescuers, the total amount of each column is calculated (by modules):

0-30 - high efficiency

30-60 - average efficiency

60-120 - low efficiency

More than 120 - practically absent.

These figures are a good basis for analysis (reflection):

· How do you think your discussion was moving in the right direction?

· Has a general rescue strategy been developed?

· What prevented you from taking an active part in the discussion?

· Do you disagree with the decision made?

· Why didn’t you manage to defend your own opinion?

· Who had the greatest influence on the outcome of the group decision?

· At what stage did the leader appear?

· What made you listen to his opinion?

· In what ways did participants achieve agreement with their opinions?

· What behaviors only interfered with the overall work?

· How should the discussion be structured in order to reach a common opinion in the fastest way and not infringe on the rights of all participants?

In case of restrictions, technical, time, etc., to achieve the goals of organizing a group discussion and making a decision by the team, it can be used

Game "Desert Island"(modification of the game “Shipwrecked”).

The presenter reads out a description of the situation:

“Your group was flying on a magic carpet and accidentally ended up in an unknown place. It turned out that this is an uninhabited island, which is a plateau raised high above the sea, with steep rocky shores and a narrow strip of land below, on the coast.

On the plateau there are trees, animals, fresh water, that is, conditions for life. There is nothing on the coast. Therefore, you can only survive on the island for a few days.

While exploring the island, you discover a cave in the rock, and from randomly spoken words that no one remembered, it suddenly opened. It contains any items.

Make a list of the items you would like to take from the cave. Time to compile a list is 7-8 minutes.”

After completing this part of the task, the group is given the following instructions:

“Each of you has 10 items, but the situation is such that the entire group can only take 10 items out of the cave. Within 20 minutes, you must consult with each other and make a single list.

Reflection.

When analyzing the exercise, the group discusses the following questions:

· Were the group members able to reach an agreement? If not, why not?

· Which forms of interaction in the group contributed to the achievement of the result, and which hindered it?

· Was there a leader in the discussion? Was he appointed deliberately or did he reveal himself?

During the discussion, you can come up with a decision-making algorithm:

1. Statement (identification) of the problem.

2. Clarification of the situation.

3. Translation of a problem into a task.

4. Formulating and listening to solution options.

5. Discuss the consequences of each option.

6. Making a single decision.

Purpose of the game: to study the process of developing and making a group decision during communication and group discussion. Time: about 1 hour.

Order of conduct:

1. Familiarization of all participants with the conditions of the game (Appendix ╧ 1..

2. Ask each of them to independently rank the indicated items in terms of their importance for survival (put number 1 for the most important item for you, number 2 for the second most important, etc., number 15 will correspond to the least useful item). At this stage of the game, discussions between participants are prohibited. Note the average individual time to complete the task.

3. Divide the group into subgroups of about 6 people. Ask one participant from each subgroup to be the expert. Invite each subgroup to create a group-wide ranking of items according to their degree of importance (the same way they did separately). At this stage, discussion about developing a solution is allowed. Note the average time to complete the task for each subgroup.

A) listen to the opinions of experts on the course of the discussion and how the group decision was made, initial versions, the use of compelling reasons, arguments, etc.; b) read out the “correct list of answers” proposed by UNESCO experts (Appendix 2). Offer to compare the “correct answer”, your own result and the group’s result: for each item on the list, you need to calculate the difference between the number that each participant, group assigned to it individually and the number assigned to this item by experts. Add up the absolute values of these differences for all items. If the sum is more than 30, then the participant or subgroup “drowned”; c) compare the results of the group and individual decisions. Was the result of the group decision better than the decisions of individuals?

Commentary on the game.

  • This exercise provides an opportunity to quantify the effectiveness of a group decision.
  • In a group, a larger number of solution options arise and of better quality than those working alone.
  • Solving problems in a group setting usually takes longer than solving the same problems by an individual.
  • Decisions made through group discussion tend to be riskier than individual decisions.
  • An individual who has special skills (abilities, knowledge, information) related to a group task is usually more active in the group and makes a greater contribution to the development of a group solution.

Introductory

Imagine: you are drifting on a yacht in the South Pacific Ocean. As a result of the fire, most of the yacht and its cargo were destroyed. The yacht is slowly sinking. Your position is unclear due to the failure of the main navigational instruments, but you are approximately 1000 miles southwest of the nearest land. Your task is to classify the 15 items below according to their survival value. Put the number 1 for the most important item, the number 2 for the second most important, and so on until 15, which is the least important to you.

  • Sectarian.
  • Shaving mirror.
  • Canister with 25 liters of water.
  • Mosquito net.
  • One box of army rations.
  • Pacific maps.
  • Inflatable swimming pillow.
  • Canister with 10 liters of oil and gas mixture.
  • Small transistor radio.
  • Repellent that repels sharks.
  • Two square meters of opaque film.
  • One liter of rum with 80% strength.
  • 450 meters of nylon rope.
  • Two boxes of chocolate.

After completing the task in groups, it is necessary to discuss the decision-making process: what types of behavior interfered or helped the process of reaching agreement; who participated and who did not; who had more influence and why; what was the atmosphere in the group during the discussion; whether the group's capabilities were optimally used; what actions the group members took to “pull through” their opinions.

Application.

According to experts, the main things a person needs when shipwrecked on the ocean are items to attract attention and items to help one survive until rescuers arrive. Navigation aids are of comparatively little importance: even if a small life raft is able to reach land, it is impossible to store enough food and water on it to survive during this period. So the most important are the shaving mirror and the canister of oil and gas mixture. These items can be used to signal air and sea rescuers. Second in importance are things like a canister of water and a box of army rations.

  1. Shaving mirror (signaling device for sea and air rescuers).
  2. Canister of oil and gas mixture (alarm - can be lit with a dollar bill and a match outside the raft and will float on the water, attracting rescuers)
  3. Canister of water (thirst quencher).
  4. Box with arm. rac. (main food).
  5. 20 sq. feet of opaque plastic (rainwater collection, provision and protection from the elements).
  6. 2 boxes of chocolate (backup food supply).
  7. Fishing tackle (ranked lower than chocolate as you can't be sure you'll catch a fish).
  8. Nylon rope (can be used to tie down equipment to prevent it from falling overboard).
  9. Melt. pillow (this is a life saver, a remedy overboard).
  10. Shark repellent (deterrent).
  11. Rum (contains 80% alcohol, which is enough to be used as a possible antiseptic for any injuries, used for other purposes (in this case internally) causes dehydration).
  12. Receiver (of little value since there is no transmitter).
  13. Maps of the Pacific Ocean (useless without additional navigation devices; it is more important to know not where you are, but where the rescuers are).
  14. Mosquito net (there are no mosquitoes in the Pacific Ocean).
  15. Sextant (relatively useless without tables and chronometer).

The main reason for the higher rating of signaling devices compared to life support items (food, water) is that without signaling devices there is almost no chance of being detected and rescued. In addition, in most cases, rescuers come in the first 36 hours, and a person can live this period without water and food.

List of things. | Expert rank. | 1 person | Difference module | 2 people | Difference module | Teams | Difference modulus

  • 1 Sextant.
  • 1 Shaving mirror.
  • 1 5 gallon water can.
  • 1 Mosquito net.
  • 1 Box of US Army rations.
  • 1 Maps of the Pacific Ocean.
  • 1 pillow (floatation device).
  • 1 Canister of oil and gas mixture (2 gal.).
  • 1 Small transistor radio.
  • 1 Repellent that repels sharks.
  • 20 sq. feet of opaque plastic.
  • 1 liter of rum (80 degrees).
  • 15 feet of nylon rope.
  • 2 boxes of chocolate.
  • 1 Fishing tackle.

SECOND VARIANT OF THE GAME SHIPwreck

Progress of the game.

Stage 1 of the game. Introductory conversation.

Imagine that we find ourselves on a large ocean ship making a voyage across the Atlantic /music/. The journey was pleasant and interesting. But in tropical latitudes the ship was caught in a storm of terrifying force. Our situation was complicated by the fact that a fire broke out in the hold, which instantly spread throughout the ship. The panic began. /Picture her/ Fortunately, there were no problems with the boats on the ship, so one part of the passengers ended up in one boat, the second in another, some ended up in a third boat. /Division into microgroups/

  • Stand up, those who can swim quite well. /You get into the 1st boat/.
  • Those who can stay on the water, you get the 2nd boat.
  • Those who cannot swim are terrified of water and immediately drown. You end up in the 3rd boat

2nd stage of the game.

1. Each boat contained a set of items necessary for survival /tasks on cards/.

Cards for microgroups.

Your task is to rank the items on the list according to their importance to survival. Put number 1 for the most important item, 2 for the next one, etc. Give reasons for your choice (orally).

  • Shaving mirror
  • Water canister
  • Fishing tackle
  • Pacific maps
  • Inflatable pillow
  • Small canister of diesel fuel
  • Transistor receiver
  • Shark repellent device
  • 5 square meters of opaque plastic film
  • Bottle of alcohol
  • 5 meters of nylon rope
  • 2 boxes of chocolate

Give reasons for your choice of the significance of objects from the point of view of survival /Speeches from microgroups/.

People and all the cargo did not fit in the boats, therefore, something had to be gotten rid of: either some things, objects, or 1 person / wounded /

  • How will you do it? /Send a person overboard or some items intended for survival/.
  • Decide! 1 minute! /Microgroup responses/
  • What 3 items are you sure to leave in your boat? /Microgroup responses/

So, while the passengers of each boat were making a decision, storm waves scattered the boats in different directions from the site of the shipwreck.

The hurricane did not stop for another day, and when it finally subsided, the exhausted people on /2 - 3 boats/ saw land on the horizon. Their feelings knew no bounds. They screamed, hugged, kissed.

2. Delighted, they rushed to the shore, unaware of two things: firstly, that in front of them was not a mainland, but an island, and secondly, about the reefs hidden under the water.

Almost at the very shore, all the boats were scattered into pieces from impacts on the stone reefs, but it was possible to reach the shore with your own feet. After some time, the teams set foot on the solid ground of uninhabited islands. Alas, different.

It so happened that you found yourself in a place unknown to you, having lost your swimming equipment and having nothing except what is currently in your pockets.

You spent the whole day exploring the island. What does he look like…..

Are you given 15 minutes to decide what to do in this situation? How will you spend the next week on these islands /music/

After 15 minutes, each team is given the floor/

3. Well, your islands turned out to be very comfortable. However, day after day passes, and not a single ship is visible on the sea horizon and neither a plane nor a helicopter appears in the sky. A month has passed. It looks like your stay on the island may drag on and turn out to be much longer than expected. We need to arrange ourselves somehow. What do you come up with? /5 minutes/.

In 5 minutes you need to talk about your life.

  • How do you build relationships with each other?
  • Do you have a leader? Who is he?
  • How do you resolve difficult issues in your life?
  • How does the division of labor and responsibilities occur?
  • Who is responsible for this? /word to commands/

4. And so, you have completely settled down on the island, have established your life. Meanwhile, 2 years have passed.

And one day the waves of the surf washed a small yacht onto the shore of the island. It was probably damaged during a storm because it was so damaged that it could not be restored. But it miraculously preserved a compartment where carpentry tools lay - axes, saws, nails, etc., in addition, you found an empty bottle on the yacht. The latest discovery gave you the idea to send a letter, trust it to the waves and let people know that you are alive and well.

Please write a letter that you put in the bottle. /I remind you that you do not know the coordinates of the entire island/ - 5 minutes.

  • In 5 minutes I will ask you to read the letter. /Word to the teams/
  • The letter has been sent. But you now have carpentry tools.
  • What will you do with them?
  • Will you take advantage of this gift of fate?
  • What will happen next?

You will sail on a manufactured raft /or boat/ that will meet a large ocean ship. You are saved!

3rd stage of the game.

Summing up the game.

  • What do you think the goals of the game are? /relaxation, entertainment, development of mind and skills/

What did the game make you think about? How did you feel while playing? What was the atmosphere like when playing in small groups? Who had the biggest influence on you? What qualities did you show in the game? /Exchange of impressions, analysis of the progress of the game/.

GAME “DISASTROPHE IN THE DESERT”

Tasks: to practice the skills of behavior in a discussion, the ability to conduct a debate, to be persuasive, to study the dynamics of a group dispute using specific material, to discover the traditional mistakes people make in polemics, to train the ability to highlight the main thing and sift out the “husk”, to see the essential features of objects, to learn to realize strategic goals and it is to them that tactical steps should be subordinated, etc. The presenter should focus attention when discussing the results on such aspects as receiving feedback from the participants about each other (due to its emotional richness, the game allows you to “turn off” the psychological defense mechanism at least for a while and become yourself - that is why it is effective in the first stages of group work). Time: at least one and a half hours. Each participant receives a special form (or draws it according to the instructions of the presenter). The leader gives the group the following instructions: - From now on, you are all passengers on an airliner flying from Europe to Central Africa. While flying over the Sahara Desert, a fire suddenly broke out on board the plane, the engines failed, and the airliner crashed to the ground. You miraculously escaped, but your location is unclear. We only know that the nearest populated area is approximately 300 kilometers away from you. Under the wreckage of the plane, you managed to find fifteen objects that remained intact after the disaster. Your task– rank these items according to their significance for your salvation. To do this, you need to put the number 1 for the most important item, the number 2 for the second most important, and so on until the fifteenth, the least important for you. Fill in the numbers in the first column of the form. Everyone works independently for fifteen minutes. List of items:
Hunting knife. Pocket flashlight. Flight map of the surrounding area. Polyethylene raincoat. Magnetic compass. Portable gas stove with cylinder. Hunting rifle with ammunition. The parachute is red and white. A pack of salt. One and a half liters of water for each person. Key to edible animals and plants. Sunglasses for everyone. A liter of vodka for everyone. A light short coat for everyone. Pocket mirror.
After completing the individual ranking, the facilitator invites the group to split into pairs and rank the same items again within ten minutes, together with a partner (in this case, the second column in the form with the list of items is filled in with numbers). The next stage of the game is a group discussion with the goal of coming to a common opinion regarding the order of arrangement of objects, for which at least thirty minutes are allocated. From observing the work of the participants, one can clearly see the degree of development of the skills to organize a discussion, plan their activities, make compromises, listen to each other, convincingly prove their point of view, and control themselves. Heated debates and battles that often unfold, when no one wants to listen to the opinions of others, clearly demonstrate to the participants themselves their incompetence in the field of communication and the need to change their behavior. At the end of the discussion, the presenter announces that the game is over, congratulates all participants on their successful rescue and invites them to discuss the results of the game. The first question that the presenter asks all participants in the circle to answer is the following: “Are you personally satisfied with the results of the past discussion? Explain why". The participants’ answers are necessarily accompanied by reflection, the purpose of which is to understand the processes, methods and results of individual and joint activities. The resulting discussion is fueled by the facilitator asking clarifying questions of something like this:
What caused your satisfaction (dissatisfaction)? Do you think your discussion was moving in the right direction or not? Has a general rescue strategy been developed? What prevented you from taking an active part in the discussion? Do you disagree with the decision made? Why didn't you manage to defend your opinion? Who had the greatest influence on the outcome of the group decision, that is, in fact, turned out to be the leader who managed to lead the group? What exactly in the leader’s behavior allowed him to force people to listen to him? At what stage did the leader appear? In what ways did other participants gain agreement with their opinions? Which behaviors were the least effective? Which ones only interfered with the overall work?
How should the discussion be structured in order to reach a common opinion in the fastest way without infringing on the rights of all participants? Discussion of the results of the game should lead the group to independently understand the question of how to best organize discussions, how to avoid rough clashes in an argument and to persuade others to accept their opinions. As a rule, during the discussion a very wide range of problems is touched upon: the phases through which almost any discussion goes, the leader and his qualities, effective communication skills, self-presentation skills, etc. If necessary, the presenter only helps to more clearly formulate the patterns found by the participants. Self-analysis by participants of their own behavior, which is enriched by feedback from other group members, is very important. It is up to the facilitator to ensure that this feedback does not turn into a series of mutual accusations, but is constructive and accepted by the participants. There is almost always a question about the “right” answer to a discussion problem. This answer is given by the presenter, but with the caveat that this is the opinion of foreign experts, with which we have the right to disagree, but we are forced to take into account the importance of choosing a rescue strategy for ranking objects: either move through the desert towards people, or wait for help from rescuers. If the question of strategy was practically not raised in the group during the discussion, then at this stage it is discovered that some of the participants tacitly implied the first option, while the other part had in mind the second. This reveals another reason for mutual misunderstanding. So, the answers: Option “Wait for rescuers” (by the way, according to experts, preferable).
One and a half liters of water for each person. In the desert it is necessary to quench thirst. Pocket mirror. Important for signaling to air rescuers. A light short coat for everyone. It will protect you from the scorching sun during the day and from the coolness of the night. Pocket flashlight. Also a means of signaling to pilots at night. The parachute is red and white. Both a means of protection from the sun and a signal to rescuers. Hunting knife. Weapons for food production. Polyethylene raincoat. Means for collecting rainwater and dew. Hunting rifle with ammunition. Can be used for hunting and for giving a sound signal. Sunglasses for everyone. They will help protect your eyes from the shine of sand and sun rays. Portable gas stove with cylinder. Since you don't have to move, it can be useful for cooking. Magnetic compass. It doesn't matter much, since there is no need to determine the direction of movement. Flight map of the surrounding area. Not needed, since it is much more important to know where the rescuers are than to determine your location. Key to edible animals and plants. The desert does not have a large variety of flora and fauna. A liter of vodka for everyone. It is acceptable to use as an antiseptic for disinfection of any injuries. In other cases, it is of little value, since if consumed orally it can cause dehydration. A pack of salt. It has practically no significance.
Option “Move towards people”. The distribution by importance will have a slightly different form:
One and a half liters of water for each person. A pack of salt. Magnetic compass. Flight map of the surrounding area. A light short coat for everyone. Sunglasses for everyone. A liter of vodka for everyone. Pocket flashlight. Polyethylene raincoat. Hunting knife. Hunting rifle with ammunition. Pocket mirror. Key to edible animals and plants. The parachute is red and white. Portable gas stove with cylinder.
Sometimes clarifying mutual impressions and openly sharing feedback is difficult in the early stages of training, and although this game remains useful and effective, it is not able to completely remove the psychological defenses of participants. To relieve tension at this stage, psycho-gymnastic games with a relaxation focus are used.

The game promotes deeper acquaintance with each other, expanding ideas about each other and about themselves, creates conditions for the development of observation, attention, memory, gives participants the opportunity to self-develop and express themselves. Placement is arbitrary, at desks in the classroom. The board should have room for 3 people. During the game, participants can be in a more or less active position. The most active position is that of the driver. Most often it becomes one of the participants who wants to test their auditory memory, attention, and observation skills. Another type of activity is "echo". This role is played by those of the guys who want to be heard. The duration of the game is 20-25 minutes. ILYA MUROMETS First, the driver is selected. He turns his back to the group. At this time, the presenter, at the request of the children, points to one player, who must repeat the phrase “I say” once. The driver must turn to face the class and recognize the speaker. For the correct answer, the driver receives 1 point. Then two people are selected from the class and say, “We say four words.” If the driver answered correctly, he receives another 2 points. When three people are selected from the class, the driver can earn another 3 points. The overall highest result is 6 points. A special feature of the game is that the children can play an active role, in addition, they themselves evaluate their powers of observation, memory, attention, they learn to listen and hear each other. Description. The entire group is divided into teams of 3-4 people, except for one participant who will play the role of Ilya Muromets.
The coach tells the group his version of a Russian fairy tale, in which Ilya Muromets sees a stone at a crossroads on which is written: “if you go to the left, you will lose your horse, if you go to the right, you will lose your head, if you go straight, you will be married.” In this exercise, each team will need to convince Ilya Muromets that they should go in their direction. The first team will persuade Muromets to go left, the second - to the right, and the third - straight. Each direction has its own advantages, because even in the “you’ll lose your head” option, you can recall the adventures that awaited the hero who chose this path in the fairy tale, or explain that in reality he will lose his head from love. Teams need to show exactly their direction in the most favorable light. Groups are given 10 minutes to prepare, after which one representative from each group speaks to Ilya Muromets. Muromets decides where he goes and gives feedback on what he liked and didn't like about each performance. Option. You can film the speech on a video camera and make an analysis of what persuasion techniques are used.

GEOMETRIC FIGURES

The exercise helps participants think about ways to improve the performance of their team. Time: 20-30 minutes. Band size: 12-20 people. Description.
The trainer draws a circle, square, triangle and spiral on the board or flipchart. He asks each participant to choose the figure that he likes best. After that, the participants are united in mini-groups according to the figure they have chosen. Mini-groups receive the following tasks:

People whose favorite figure is the circle are usually good at interacting with others and building relationships. Therefore, a group of people who have chosen a circle thinks out what can be done to ensure that the emotional atmosphere is always positive and the team is united.

People who have chosen a square, as a rule, love and know how to maintain order and structure, it is important for them to follow the rules. Therefore, a group of “squares” comes up with norms and rules according to which a good team should exist, which must be present in order for the team to always have order and structure.

Triangle lovers are usually good at knowing their goals and able to achieve them. Therefore, a mini-group of participants who have chosen the triangle comes up with measures that will help the team achieve its goals and objectives faster and more efficiently.

Participants who chose the spiral are, as a rule, creative people, sometimes carried away by ideas divorced from reality, but always ready to come up with a new project and react very quickly to something new. Therefore, a group consisting of these people figures out how the team can become as creative as possible and quickly respond to changes in the outside world.

3. Mini-groups are given 10 minutes to prepare. After this, one member from each group speaks and tells everyone their group's ideas.
Square – which helps maintain order and structure.

Triangle – what helps to achieve results.

Circle – what helps the team maintain good human relationships. Spiral – which helps to be creative and create new ideas.

    YES-NO-DON'T KNOW

There are statements on the walls in different parts of the room. YES-NO-DON'T KNOW . The guys, depending on their choice, group towards the desired answer and defend their point of view.

    SAY SAY

Participants are divided into pairs and interview each other on a topic, for example, leadership (Who is a leader for you? What qualities should a leader have? Tell us about a situation when you behaved like a leader?). Then the presenter asks the couples to sit with their backs to each other and answer the questions in writing: What color are my partner’s eyes, hair, what color is the sweater, socks, is there a watch on his hand, etc.

    Game "Shipwreck"

Target: development of motives for cooperation and tolerance.

    Form: role-playing game.

    Progress of the event

Classroom teacher: Guys, do you like to travel? I suggest you take a trip. Imagine that we are traveling on the ocean. A light breeze is blowing, the sun is shining gently. But what is it? As often happens on the ocean, a storm is approaching! All hands on deck! Captain, there are reefs and scattered islands ahead - a hurricane wind is driving us into a trap! A shipwreck cannot be avoided! The ships of the squadron received holes and began to leak, it is dangerous to stay on the ships, you need to evacuate, save your property, because it is unknown how much time you will have to spend on the islands. You can use the boat and take 10 items from the sinking ship.

    Work organization

First stage - individual work. The class is divided into 2 teams. Teams come up with their own name. Each team member is given a list of things. He must rank the listed things (decide what he will take first, second, etc.)

Second phase - work in groups. During the discussion, each team determines its list of things and also ranks the listed things.

After selecting answers, teams report their lists. The presenter indicates correct and incorrect choices.

    Right answers:

      Silver dish – 1

      Water keg – 4

      Bag of breadcrumbs – 5

      Keg of gunpowder – 3

      Pacific Ocean Map – 11

      Signal flags – 12

      Bottle of rum – 8

      Bag of sugar – 6

      Fishing tackle – 9

      Roll of chintz – 10

      Matches – 2

      Melee weapons – 7

    Rationale.

For each correctly guessed answer, students score 1 point. All points and team scores are tallied at the end. The winning team of the stage is announced.

Classroom teacher: He who does nothing makes no mistakes! Unfortunately, the help they were counting on did not come and therefore each team needs to improve life on their island. First of all, you need to explore the island. Maybe it's not so uninhabited after all!

    (Work in groups)

Draw a bird's eye view of the island on a piece of Whatman paper, i.e. its contours.

Think about a place to temporarily live.

Draw the terrain: rivers, lakes, mountains.

You can make notes about the animals and plants that are found on your island.

      Name your island.

At the end of the game, all points are tallied and the winning team is announced.

    Business game “Shipwrecked”

    Explanatory note

The business game “Shipwrecked” is intended for mastering and understanding instrumental tasks associated with building real activities, achieving a specific goal, and structuring a system of business relationships with other people.

This game allows you to develop goal-setting and activity planning skills; develop internal flexibility in developing and changing action plans; develop self-regulation skills in the process of achieving goals; develop social and personal criticism, the ability to relate one’s activities to the activities of other people.

Target:“Castwrecked”: explore the process of developing and making a group decision through communication and group discussion.

    Time spending: about 1 hour.

    Carrying out the game

    1st stage.

Familiarization of all participants with the terms of the game:

The facilitator gives the participants the following instructions: “Imagine you are drifting on a yacht in the South Pacific Ocean. As a result of the fire, most of the yacht and its cargo were destroyed. The yacht is slowly sinking. Your location is unclear due to the failure of the main navigation instruments, but you are approximately a thousand kilometers from the nearest land."

Below is a list of 15 items that remained intact and undamaged as a result of the fire. In addition to these items, you have a durable inflatable raft with oars large enough to support you, your crew, and all of the items listed below. The property of the survivors consists of a pack of cigarettes, several boxes of matches and 5 one-dollar bills. List of items:

    Sectarian.

    Shaving mirror.

Canister with 25 liters of water.

    Mosquito net.

    One box of army rations.

    Pacific maps.

    Inflatable swimming pillow.

Canister with 10 liters of oil and gas mixture.

    Small transistor radio.

    Repellent that repels sharks.

Two square meters of opaque film.

One liter of rum with 80% strength.

    450 meters of nylon rope.

    Two boxes of chocolate.

    Fishing tackle.

    2nd stage.

Ask each of the participants to independently rank the items listed in the application in terms of their importance for survival (put number 1 for the most important item for you, number 2 for the second most important, etc., number 15 will correspond to the least useful item) .

At this stage of the business game, discussions between participants are prohibited. Note the average individual time to complete the task.

    3rd stage.

Divide the group into subgroups of about 6 people. Ask one participant from each subgroup to be the expert.

Invite each subgroup to create a group-wide ranking of items according to their degree of importance (as they did this separately).

At this stage, discussions regarding the development of a solution are allowed.

Note the average time to complete the task for each subgroup.

    4th stage.

In each subgroup, a leader is selected who will defend the opinion of the group. An expert is selected for the leadership group. Leaders from subgroups are invited to the center of the circle and rank items in order of importance. Leaders discuss their decisions. There should be no hints from other players.

A). Listen to the experts' opinions about the course of the discussion and how the group decision was made, initial versions, the use of compelling reasons, arguments, etc. How actively and convincingly the leaders defended and defended the interests of their subgroup.

B). Read the “correct” list of answers proposed by UNESCO experts:

According to experts, the main things a person needs when shipwrecked on the ocean are items that serve to attract attention and items that help them survive until rescuers arrive. Navigation aids are of comparatively little importance: even if a small life raft is able to reach land, it is impossible to store enough water and food on it to survive during this period.

Therefore, the most important things for you are a shaving mirror and a canister of oil and gas mixture. These items can be used to signal air and sea rescuers.

Second in importance are things like a canister of water and a box of army rations.

The information given below obviously does not list all the possible uses of a given item, but rather indicates how important the item is for survival.

Shaving mirror. Important for signaling to air and sea rescuers.

Canister with oil and gas mixture. Important for signaling. Can be lit with a banknote and a match and will float on the water, attracting attention.

Canister with water. Necessary to quench thirst.

Box with army rations. Provides basic food.

Opaque film. Used to collect rainwater and provide protection from bad weather.

Box of chocolate. Reserve food supply.

Fishing tackle. It is rated lower than chocolate, because in this situation a bird in the hand is better than a pie in the sky. There is no guarantee that you will catch a fish.

Nylon rope. Can be used to tie up equipment to prevent it from falling overboard.

Swimming pillow. A life-saving device in case someone falls overboard.

Repellent that repels sharks. The purpose is obvious.

Rum, 80% ABV. Contains 80% alcohol - enough to be used as an antiseptic, but otherwise of little value as consumption may cause dehydration.

Radio. Has little value as there is no transmitter.

Pacific maps. Useless without additional navigation devices. It is more important for you to know not where you are, but where the rescuers are.

Mosquito net. There are no mosquitoes in the Pacific Ocean.

Sectarian. Without tables and a chronometer, it is relatively useless. The main reason for the higher valuation of signaling agents compared to

life-sustaining items (food and water) is that without alarm systems there is almost no chance of being detected and rescued. Moreover, in most cases, rescuers arrive within the first 36 hours, and a person can live this period without food or water.

Offer to compare the “correct” answer, your own result and the group’s result: for each item on the list, you need to calculate the difference between the number that each participant, group assigned to it individually and the number assigned to this item by experts. Add up the absolute values of these differences for all items. If the sum is greater than 30, then the participant or group "drowned"; IN). Compare the results of the group and individual solution. Was the result of the group decision more correct than the decision of the individual participants?

    Comments on the event:

This game makes it possible to quantify the effectiveness of a group decision.

In a group, a larger number of solution options arise and of better quality than those working alone.

Solving a problem in a group setting usually takes longer than solving the same problems by an individual.

Decisions made through group discussion tend to be riskier than individual decisions.

An individual who has special skills (abilities, knowledge, information) related to a group task is usually more active in the group and makes a greater contribution to the development of group decisions.
