Volunteers from the Good Heart MHW note that for the dog you like you will have to pay to the SAP, where the animal was waiting for several days before meeting the owner, from 60 to 100 thousand rubles, depending on the size of the dog.

“When they call us, we immediately warn about the cost and ask if they can buy the dog themselves. Usually there are no problems with this: people are understanding. In SAP, these dogs are not officially ours and we do not set the rules,” say the volunteers. Besides the SAP, Mogilev volunteers have nowhere to keep dogs.

“If a person who wants to adopt a dog has financial difficulties, we help with the payment,” the interlocutor notes. “Unfortunately, this is the only possible option for work at this time. We do not have enough money to buy the dogs ourselves. Unfortunately, we have there are not many people, and donations are barely enough to sterilize and vaccinate animals."

As for the cats, they are all in the hands of volunteers, so they are always given away for free.

“Kind Heart” invites caring volunteers.

For ten years now, the public organization “Kind Heart” has existed in Mogilev, which helps abandoned and homeless animals. This is a non-profit and non-budgetary organization, all of whose activities are carried out by volunteers in their free time from work and personal concerns.

In our city, as, in general, throughout the world, a large number of dogs and cats end up on the street due to cruel treatment of people who take the animal into the house, and then, after playing with a living toy, throw the pet away. Many dogs remain homeless at the end of the summer season. It happens that an owner gets a dog only to guard his property, and when he moves to the city, he leaves it to the mercy of fate, and such dogs then gather in packs. There is also a problem with the reproduction “in the wild” of such “feral” domestic animals, when small kittens and puppies die from lack of nutrition and disease.

In order to unite the efforts of Mogilev residents in protecting animals that need help, and to attract more participants to the movement, a photo project was conceived and implemented. Famous Mogilev residents - athletes, artists, actors, TV and radio presenters - acted as photo models. They took part in a photo project with animals that were helped by “Kind Heart” and which are still looking for their new owners.

In the Mogilev restaurant “Vintage” On Sunday, May 28, the presentation of the photo project and the opening of the exhibition took place. The organizers spoke about their activities, and some of the project participants shared their impressions of filming with animals and their attitude towards them. The musical and entertainment part of the meeting included performances by Mogilev performers, children read poetry, and even a small performance by a young couple in women's sports acrobatics.

About the activities of the organization "Kind heart" told his manager Svetlana Yarmolenkova:

“It is very difficult to say how many animals we have helped during this time. Approximately every year we place 200-300 dogs, but it is always more difficult with them, because it is a big responsibility, it is a routine, and the dog is practically an unmaturing child who constantly requires attention. Well, it’s generally difficult to count cats, they find a new home easier, and we simply don’t take many of them into account; often people simply directly take kittens or adult cats from volunteers, even before any announcements are released.

I want to say that, unfortunately, attitudes towards animals have changed, not for the better. There are people who help us, but there are also those who mercilessly throw away their pet, even though it is purebred. Terriers, Labradors, and even Sphynx cats have passed through our hands. We try, we explain to people, although it can be difficult, we hope for the best...”

Head of the public association “Kind Heart” Svetlana Ermalenkova and photographer Marina Morozova

“When you photograph a person alone, you look exclusively at the person, but when you photograph him with an animal, then you have to pay the main attention to the animal, adapting to it. I was lucky in that the animals matched the personalities of the people they were photographing with...

It is very difficult to change people’s attitudes towards animals, because any animal is a huge responsibility, and people now have a lot of problems, and it is very difficult to additionally take on new worries and worries. A pet is like a new family member who needs to be fed, walked with, sometimes treated, given time, and some people simply feel sorry for their time. After finishing work on the project, having met the volunteer girls who give so much effort to animals, I myself decided to take home a kitten,” she shared
One of the project participants, politician Rygor Kostusev, expressed the following wishes:

“The problem identified by the project’s organizers is very important for the community, and not only in Magilev, but also in the whole world. There will be great goodness, if this project will help you know at least the adzinkas, and perhaps the dozens, and let hundreds of homeless people live their new gaspadars.

I have a dog and two cats at home, and we all wandered into the streets, and I receive meetings, as they frighten me when I come home. Pavodzinami zhively yes chalavek can be defined as geta for chalavek. We need a slave for all the good people, those who lived at home with joy and happiness, who were in pain.”

During the presentation at the Vintage restaurant

After the photo exhibition “Homeless animals: we feel...” in the Vintage restaurant, its further screening is planned to be held in the cinema "Motherland". Find out more about the movement's activities "Kind heart", you can join their campaigns to help homeless animals at

Each animal has its own sad story, passionate disposition and “domestic future.”

There is no shelter for homeless animals in Mogilev. Volunteers from the Good Heart Animal Welfare Society use their own money to treat animals found on the streets and rent enclosures. After being caught, stray dogs are kept in a temporary holding facility, and cats are kept at volunteers' homes for foster care. If the animals fail to find an owner, the dogs are “euthanized” and the cats are shot.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 300 wards of “Kind Heart” have found owners. the site found animals who were lucky enough to find a home, and talked to people who decided to adopt a pet from the street.

A month ago, Anna brought a pack of dog food to one of the curators of “Kind Heart”. After talking with him, the girl said that she and her husband wanted to get a small dog about 20 centimeters in length. The volunteer offered to look at the dog, which needs to be taken to the SAPS, where the animal will probably soon be euthanized.

The dog looked at us with pitiful eyes, immediately climbed up to hug her, and we couldn’t help but take her, despite the fact that she was not 20 centimeters, but twice as big,” Anna recalls.

Cherry never barked once in the apartment the whole time. She is very kind, makes friends with all dogs and people, but she doesn’t like drunks and can smell alcohol a mile away.

Dogs that have lived on the street know what hunger and cold are, and understand the difference between a miserable existence on the street and life with their owners. And also, purebred dogs, for the most part, are like hothouse plants; their health often fails and in some places they are stupider than mongrels,” says Anna.

Gambling club administrator Anastasia and her one-eyed pirate Tee h

A month ago, Anastasia moved with her boyfriend to a new apartment. The guys decided to take the kitten to accompany their cat Kilka. First, Anastasia, together with a volunteer from “Kind Heart,” tried to find a stray kitten on the street. Armed with gloves, she went to catch the animal. The plan did not work: the cats turned out to be wild and scratched the volunteers.

Then Anastasia began looking at photographs of kittens that were in foster care. The girl saw a photo of a three-month-old kitten, which had only one eye, which was 90% blind, and on the same day she took him in with her. A little later it turned out that he also had lichen.

A beautiful kitten has a better chance of finding a home, so I wanted to adopt a kitten with a disability. “I don’t care if an animal has an eye or a paw,” says Anastasia.

The kitten was weak and almost died on the first night. Now Teach’s vision has been restored, the lichen has gone away, but he still eats like the last time. Anastasia recalls the story of how a kitten pulled out a frozen mackerel from a shell, which was almost twice its size, and dragged the prey under the sofa. In about five minutes he ate half the fish, ate so much that he even broke a tooth.

The kitten was named after the English pirate Teach, who lived in the 18th century, because of his “one-eyed” nature and violent disposition.

Front-end developer Egor, programmer Tatyana and their homebody Rosa

Egor and Tatyana adopted Rosa at the age of three months three years ago. We decided to do a good deed and therefore went to pick up the dog at a temporary kennel on Chauskoe Highway. Egor went to choose a pet; when he brought the dog home, it immediately became clear that the new family member was a coward.

Rosa did not run around the apartment, she did not even walk, but sat modestly in the corner and looked closely at everything. The whole first night the dog whined, I had to constantly come up and calm her down, pet her until she fell asleep. Only a couple of days later, well-fed and ironed, Rosa decided to investigate the situation, recalls Yegor.

The dog turned out to be an incredible homebody; she never asks to go outside. When the owners are walking her, the moment she sees the house, Rosa rushes there headlong.
