Disgusting photos. Scary photos with a creepy story

It is often said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The person you see can look attractive or ugly, it all depends on your criteria of beauty.

But there are famous people whose appearance problems are obvious. This may be caused by unsuccessful plastic surgeries or the whim of Mother Nature, who is sometimes very cruel to her children.

This actress was one of the actresses who graced the silver screen in the eighties and early nineties of the 20th century. She played Valeen Ewing in the famous American soap opera Dallas, and then, it seems, she brought her character’s glamorous life into reality. The result was frighteningly unhealthy. Now Joan has an unnatural complexion, swollen lips, a drooping nose - and all this is aggravated by heavy and tasteless makeup.

9. Tori Spelling

The daughter of producer Aaron Spelling and star of the teen series Beverly Hills 90210, she made a career in Hollywood thanks to her own talents, as well as the support of her father. However, several plastic surgeries were not in vain for Tori’s appearance (and especially her breasts). Now she looks like a House of Wax character.

8. Elaine Davidson

And this lady covered her body with 7,000 piercings (total weight of 3 kg), becoming the most pierced woman in the world. She is one of Edinburgh's landmarks, owns a scent shop and regularly performs on the Royal Mile. In 2011, she married Douglas Watson, who, surprisingly, does not have piercings.

An interesting fact is that despite her hobby, Elaine has a black belt in judo, does not drink alcohol or use drugs.

7. Melanie Gaydos

This American model has a rare genetic disorder called ectodermal dysplasia. It prevents the development of teeth, nails, cartilage, hair follicles and bones. Because of this, the girl has no hair on her body and almost no teeth (with the exception of three milk teeth). As a child, she had to endure bullying from her peers, and this led to Melanie falling into deep depression at the age of 16.

However, she was able to do what many adults fail to do - look at life positively and achieve her dream. In New York, the girl found photographers interested in collaborating with unusual-looking models. Since then, Gaydos has been a sought-after fashion model and actress, showing that there are many types of beauty beyond the stereotypical ones.

6. Whoopi Goldberg

The second African-American woman in the world to win an Oscar for acting is not known for her external beauty. Users joke that Whoopi's hair looks like a tarantula "landed on her head." But her talent is so bright that films with Goldberg are remembered for a long time.

As one of the actress’s fans writes: “She may be ugly, but she is very sweet. Besides, she is a very good actress. People sometimes don't understand that no one can choose their appearance in advance, otherwise the world would be boring.".

5. Julia Gnuse

Julia was born in 1959 and lived an ordinary life until she was thirty-five years old. One day she discovered painful spots on the skin that began to turn into scars that disfigured the body. Doctors found out that Julia had developed porphyria. This is an incredibly rare skin condition that can be inherited from parents or simply develop spontaneously. One of the most uncomfortable symptoms of her condition is her incredibly sensitive skin. Julia couldn’t even go outside, otherwise huge blisters would appear on her body, bursting in the light.

Luckily, one of Gnuse’s friends, a plastic surgeon, suggested tattooing as a way to “cover up” the unsightly scars. However, tattoos do not protect the poor thing from the harmful rays of the sun, and the scars are very painful, and some of them are as serious as third-degree burns.

Currently, over 95% of Julia's body is covered in tattoos - including her face - and she is known as the most tattooed woman in the world or the "Painted Lady". The tattoo cost $80,000 to create.

4. Maria Cristerna

The Mexican, also known as the “vampire woman,” is certainly one of the scariest girls on Earth. Her photo inspires not only fear, but also involuntary respect for a person who spared neither money nor his own body in pursuit of an ideal (albeit incomprehensible to those around him).

It is known that Maria began the “transformation” into a vampire tattooed from head to toe with extended fangs after an unsuccessful marriage. For many years she was a victim of domestic violence. Apparently, the steel implants a la horns symbolize "strength" and the tattoos show her "freedom".

3. Donatella Versace

The top 3 scariest women open with a photo of the sister of the late fashion designer Gianni Versace.

Her fashion brand is beloved and popular among the Hollywood elite, but Donatella's appearance does not at all match the beauty of the things she creates. She has disfigured her face with too many plastic surgeries, which, however, does not prevent the art director of the Versace empire from remaining one of the style icons.

2. Jocelyn Wildenstein

Jocelyn was once a pretty, but completely ordinary woman. Now the face of one of the most terrible women on the planet in the photo resembles a lioness who unsuccessfully had plastic surgery. By the way, one of Jocelyn’s nicknames is “Catwoman”, and another is “Bride of Wildenstein”, by analogy with the Bride of Frankenstein. Her name often appears in the tabloid press due to numerous cosmetic surgeries, on which the billionaire spent about $3,933,800.

She presumably decided to undergo the first operation in order to regain the attention of her husband, a passionate hunter Alec Wildenstein, who simply adored lions. However, she had no luck with surgeons, and subsequent manipulations with her appearance moved Jocelyn further and further away from the concept of “norm.”

  • She has had a face lift, brow lift and mid face lift with failure due to collagen injections in the past.
  • She placed implants in the chin, cheekbones and cheeks (later removed from the chin).
  • She raised the corners of her eyelids.
  • I had blepharoplasty of the lower and upper eyelids.
  • I had injections into my lips many times to make them bigger.

All these efforts only led to the fact that a woman with such an unusual face was often invited to various talk shows. A dubious achievement for such an impressive amount.

The 28-year-old resident of Austin, Texas is perhaps the scariest woman in the world. Lizzie's photo may even frighten you at first, however, having become acquainted with the story of her life, you can only be surprised at the courage and perseverance of this lady.

The writer, blogger and motivational speaker has been diagnosed with the extremely rare Wiedemann–Rautenstrauch syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects her face, muscle tone, brain, heart, eyes and bones, and prevents her body from storing fat, causing Lizzie weighs only 29 kg. Only three people with this syndrome have been recorded in the world.

The girl's appearance was constantly the subject of ridicule and insults. In 2006, she discovered a mocking video about herself on YouTube, in which she was called "the scariest girl in the world."

“I was crushed. You can imagine how I felt. I was confused, upset, hurt and angry - but then I read the comments.", Velazquez said in an interview. Some people who watched the video wrote that Lizzie should do the world a favor and put a gun to her head, while others asked why her parents didn't have an abortion. One person even suggested that people would go blind looking at such an ugly woman.

But instead of letting thousands of negative commenters get her down, she turned her haters into motivators. She began publishing responses to offensive remarks online, describing her feelings from what she read and learning the intricacies of public speaking.

“We are all on Earth for a reason. I realized that we all live in this world for a reason. Luckily, I was able to take a positive path and turn my terrible situation into something much more pleasant.", says Velazquez.

She wrote an autobiographical book, “The Story of the Ugliest Woman in the World, Who Became the Happiest,” became a motivational speaker, and regularly participates in conferences where she teaches how to combat social stereotypes.

In addition, the life of this amazing American woman served as the basis for the documentary film “Braveheart: The Story of Lizzie Velasquez.” In it, the girl talks about her illness and encourages people suffering from various diseases not to give up.

It doesn't matter that the world's scariest women are physically unattractive. The truth is that looks don't matter when it comes to their talents. Many participants in the rating became famous thanks to their own efforts, and by their example they show all the girls on Earth that appearance is not the main thing in life.

Mysteries and mysticism always attract people. This is not surprising - the very existence of life on Earth, and even with intelligent beings, is a complete mystery and mysticism.

Here are 11+1 photos and videos that are not completely clear even to experts. True, while this collection was being prepared, we managed to find the solution to one mystery (about the “Black Prince”). Maybe you will be the one who can solve all the others?

12. The Babushka Lady

On November 22, 1963, shots rang out in Dallas at 12:30 p.m. Most of the people filming the president's motorcade ran away. However, one of the women, whose face was hidden under a scarf, continued to film for some time after the shots were fired. Then she crossed Elm Street and merged with the crowd.

After the murder, law enforcement agencies asked the public to provide them with all amateur video recordings made that day. But the video taken by Lady Grandmother was never discovered.

The police tried to track down the woman, in the hope that her footage would become decisive evidence, but to this day she has not been found. She received this nickname due to the fact that she was wrapped in a scarf, reminiscent of the headdresses of older Russian women.

11. The Solway Firth Astronaut

In 1964, the family of Briton Jim Templeton was walking near the Solway Firth. The head of the family decided to take a Kodak photograph of his five-year-old daughter. The Templetons assured that there was no one else in these swampy places except them. And when the photographs were developed, one of them revealed a strange figure peeking out from behind the girl’s back. The analysis showed that the photograph had not been subject to any changes.

10. Lights of Hessdalen

In 1907, a group of teachers, students and scientists set up a scientific camp in Norway to study a mysterious phenomenon called the Hessdalen Lights.

Björn Hauge took this photo one clear night using a shutter speed of 30 seconds. Spectral analysis showed that the object should consist of silicon, iron and scandium. This is the most informative, but far from the only photo of the “Lights of Hessdalen”. Scientists are still scratching their heads as to what it could be. True, there is one version.

9. An unexpected guest in the Cooper family

The Cooper family just moved into their new home in Texas. In honor of the housewarming, a festive table was set, and at the same time they decided to take several family photos. And when the photographs were developed, a strange figure was discovered on them - it seemed that someone’s body was either hanging or falling from the ceiling. Of course, the Coopers didn’t see anything like this during filming.

8. “Alien” in Earth orbit

This is how this story is described on all Internet sites that publish collections of photographs and love to fool readers for the sake of a couple of clicks:

“...The first photograph of an unknown object, called the “Black Prince,” was taken in 1960 by one of the first Earth satellites. An unidentified object is clearly visible in polar orbit, which could not be either a USSR satellite or a US satellite. Since then, this object has been seen many times - it appears and disappears at certain time intervals. After carefully studying photographs of the object, scientists are inclined to believe that this is a fragment of artificial origin.”

This story is actually as simple as three pennies. No, the photo is real. It was taken during the STS-88 flight of the USS Endeavor in 1998. Here it is, in high resolution.

During one of the astronauts' spacewalks, a thermal protective blanket was lost. One side is silver, the other side is black. It slowly moved away, taking on bizarre shapes, and several photographs were taken. Without knowing the origin of the object, you can call it anything. But, fortunately for the astronauts and unfortunately for the mysterious story, it was not an alien satellite.

7. Sea monster filmed off the coast of Hook Island

This well-known photo is considered by many to be the result of Photoshop. But few people know that French photographer Robert le Serrec photographed this unknown giant sea animal back in 1965, and this photograph became the reason for heated discussions among zoologists.

6. Sir Goddard's Squadron (1919, published 1975)

Behind one of the aviators you can clearly see the face of another person. Members of the squadron claim that this is the face of Freddie Jackson, an aircraft mechanic who died in an accident two days before the shooting. His funeral took place on the same day that the group photo was taken.

5. Mobile phone in a Charlie Chaplin film

The Collector's Edition DVD of Charlie Chaplin's The Circus includes a bonus featurette of the 1928 premiere. One of the frames shows a woman holding in her hand something that closely resembles a mobile phone.

Some consider this footage to be evidence of the existence of time travelers. Many are inclined to believe that the woman is holding an auditory tube in her hand. But then it is not clear why she smiles and says something to her.

Curious, if it's a cell phone, who is she talking to?

4. Another time traveler

This photo was taken in 1941 during the opening ceremony of the South Forks Bridge. The attention was drawn to a young man whom many considered a “time traveler” due to his modern hairstyle, zip-up sweater, printed T-shirt, fashionable glasses and point-and-shoot camera. The whole outfit is clearly not from the 40s. On the left, highlighted in red is a camera that was actually in use at that time.

3. The Ghosts of Watertown

In December 1924, the American tanker Watertown was heading from the coast of California to New Orleans through the Panama Canal when two sailors, Courtney and Meehan, suffocated from oil fumes. Their bodies were buried at sea off the coast of Mexico.

The next day, the first mate saw two faces on the waves on the left side. He immediately recognized them as two dead sailors. The faces appeared again and again every day, and virtually everyone on the team saw them many times. Upon arrival in New Orleans, Captain Tracy reported what had happened to the shipping company and was tasked with photographing them.

When the ghostly faces appeared again, Captain Tracy photographed them. In one frame, faces were clearly visible. The Bureau of Investigation, which was asked to check the negative, found no traces of falsification.

2. Pyramids on the Moon

What you see below is a photograph of the lunar surface under the number AS17-136-20680, which was taken as part of the Apollo 17 mission. In the catalog of photographs, it was listed as “exposed.” She clearly suffered from excessive light exposure. However, after working with the contrast of this image, it turned out that in fact it captured structures that resemble pyramids.

1. The mysterious death of Elisa Lam

This is, as we say, mystics, fresh. The story shook America in early 2013. Young Elisa Lam, a tourist from Canada, arrived in Los Angeles on January 26 and stayed at the inexpensive Cecile Hotel in the city center. The 21-year-old Canadian of Chinese descent was an exemplary daughter, calling her parents every day and talking about all her adventures while traveling in the United States.

However, soon after her arrival in the City of Angels, the calls stopped. On January 31, Eliza was seen for the last time - she went to a bookstore near the hotel to buy souvenirs for her family, returned to the Cecil, rode the elevator - she was recorded by a camera in the cabin - and... disappeared without a trace.

Eliza's traces were discovered on February 19, when hotel guests began complaining to staff about the quality of the water. The liquid in the taps darkened, the pressure weakened, a strange taste appeared... The employees climbed to the roof where the water supply system is located in American high-rise buildings. There, in a tightly closed tank, a naked Eliza was found, for whom her parents had been looking for two weeks with the police at that time.

The biggest mystery in this case is the video from January 31, which shows Eliza in the hotel elevator. She presses the same combination of buttons several times in a row, runs out of the elevator, hides, wrings her hands, talks to someone outside the camera's field of view - or to herself. Having got off on the fourteenth floor (her room was located on the fourth), the girl never returned to the elevator.

Interesting results also came from the pathologist. According to him, no known drugs, hallucinogens, or alcohol were found in the tourist’s tissues. Also, no traces of any violence against her were found: there were no blows, abrasions, or signs of a struggle. Moreover, it was established that death occurred in the water - she choked, but did not try to avoid it.

Based on the results of the autopsy, a decision was made - the case was closed, the death was declared an accident. How Eliza got onto the roof, how to explain her strange behavior before her disappearance - and apparently death - the police are no longer interested in all these questions.

Hollywood also became interested in the story and announced in early 2014 that a film based on Lam's mysterious death would be released in 2015.

Not all artists prefer to depict portraits and landscapes. Some people want to convey in their images a certain mystery, mysticism, and a sense of fear. For example, the most terrible picture in the world, which brings endless horror to all Internet users, was photographed from the famous canvas called “Hands Resist Him.” This truly creepy painting created such a stir around itself that many were afraid to even look at it through the monitor screen, thinking that it was cursed. They say that the artist poured into the picture all his dark sides of his soul and his most terrible nightmares. However, more details about everything in our interesting article.

"The hands resist him." Fiction or real curse?

This creepy painting was painted in 1972 by the famous It depicts a girl resembling a doll and a boy, approximately 5 years old. Children stand against the backdrop of a glass door, on which a huge number of small palms can be seen.

The most terrible painting in the world was copied from a childhood photograph of the artist. Stoneham portrayed himself at age 5 and a little neighbor girl.

What did the artist want to say?

According to Stoneham, the door means nothing more than a wall between the world of the living and the parallel world of dreams. The boy on the canvas is depicted as angry and dissatisfied. And this is no wonder, because he really wants to open the door and see what is outside the real world. But the children's hands resist this, blocking the boy's path. The doll standing nearby is emotionless and empty. She doesn’t see or hear anything, but she is the only one who in this case can help the boy enter the world of dreams.

What creepy stories are associated with the picture?

The first owner of “Hands Resist Him” was the famous American actor John Marley. After some time, the man died. No one still knows whether the ill-fated painting is really to blame for his death. The same thing happened with other owners of the mystical canvas. The young family who once owned this terrible picture told about the terrible things that happened in their house. They found the canvas in a landfill along with another pile. Delighted, the head of the family took it into the house and placed it in the most visible place. At night, their little daughter burst into her parents’ bedroom screaming that some children were quarreling in her room. The next day, the girl again reported that the image in the painting had changed somewhat - the children were outside the glass door. After this, the father decided to get rid of the “cursed” creation.

In 2000, an image of the canvas appeared on an online auction. Administrators warned Internet users that this was the most terrible picture in the world, because it was photographed from an analogue of the cursed canvas “Hands Resist Him,” which has already brought grief to many people. However, many looked closely at the image, showing their immense curiosity. And after some time, letters began to arrive at the administrator’s email address, indicating that after viewing the “ill-fated” image, many began to feel dizzy.

Despite the terrible letters, the most terrible painting was still sold. Its owner was a brave art gallery owner named Kim Smith. After some time, letters also began to arrive at his address, saying that this was the most terrible picture. Smith was even offered the services of famous psychics who promised to exorcise demons from this terrible canvas. To date, the fate of the painting is unknown.

"Crying Boy"

The painting “The Crying Boy” was painted by Giovanni Bragolina. Many people viewing the image on the Internet claim that it is the scariest picture of the planet they have ever seen.

There are several versions of this painting. The first says that the artist had a little son of 4 years of age. The boy was very afraid of fire and everything connected with it. Rumor has it that Giovanni deliberately lit a match and brought it to the baby’s face in order to more believably capture all his anger and fear. Rumor has it that because of this, the baby hated his cruel father so much that he wished with all his heart that he would burn. After some time, the boy died of pneumonia, and later a fire suddenly broke out in his father’s workshop. The fire burned everything in its path. Only the canvas remained untouched. It is no wonder that “The Crying Boy” is the most terrible picture in the world, the sight of which makes many people’s hearts tremble.

Later, an unexpected series of fires occurred throughout England, in which people died. No matter how strange it may sound, in all the rooms there were works by Giovanni, which remained absolutely untouched. People decided that the ghost of the offended boy, who had moved into the canvas, decided to take revenge on the whole world. It is known that the most terrible picture in the world still haunts the subconscious of many. The fear that is reflected in the eyes of a small, innocent boy will never be forgotten. The original "Crying Boy" has never been found.

"Red Dragon" by William Blake

One of the most controversial artists and poets painted this painting, receiving inspiration from the Book of Revelations. In the painting, William depicted the devil himself, who appeared to him in his dreams.

The author managed to portray the king of darkness quite believably. Many at that time did not even have any doubts about the fact that the artist could really meet the devil himself in his dreams.

"The Scream" by Edvard Munch

As the artist himself wrote in his personal diary, he depicted in his painting the feelings that he once experienced. "Scream" is undoubtedly on the list of "Scariest Pictures." The art gallery that houses this eerie painting is located in the city of Oslo (Norway) and is called the National Gallery.

Many scientists are of the opinion that Munch was a mentally unbalanced person, because only a person with serious diseases of the nervous system can portray such a thing. The author created paintings of the same theme, which, as he himself claimed, tormented him for many years.

Many believe that the scariest picture in the world is the prototype of “Scream”. Few people know that the original of this famous painting caused many deaths. The owners of this terrible painting allegedly suffered serious illnesses or became victims of terrible disasters.

"Venus with a Mirror". Diego Velazquez

There are other most terrible paintings and pictures, for example “Venus with a Mirror”, written by the artist Diego Velazquez.

This seemingly unremarkable painting has already brought a lot of grief to its owners.

They say that whoever acquired the cursed painting quickly went bankrupt and died from this. That is why “Venus with a Mirror” could not find a permanent owner for a long time. In 1914, the most terrible painting was destroyed, it was cut with a knife by an unknown woman.

"Saturn Devouring His Son" by Francisco Goya

He depicted in his painting a mythical character named Kronos, who was afraid that he would be overthrown by his own son, and in despair devoured the flesh of his children.

"Nightmare" by Henry Fuselli

"Nightmare" is the work of the famous English artist Henry Fuselli. The author's work leaned more towards mysticism and secrets. He drew his plots from mythology and literature (most often the master depicted the works of Shakespeare).

In Nightmare, Fuselli depicted a woman lying unconscious with an incubus (a demon indulging in sexual pleasures with lonely women) sitting on her chest. Her figure is curved and elongated. Between the curtains you can see the head of an eyeless horse, which personifies a contented demon.

Paintings by Zdzislaw Beksinski

The Polish artist most often depicted dying and deformed people, wars, collapsing worlds, apocalypses and eternal grief in his paintings.

Rumor has it that the artist depicted his death on the last canvas. The painting showed the body of a stabbed man. Such a terrible fate befell the artist. He was killed by the commandant's son because Zdislav refused to lend him money.

Theodore Gericault and his "Severed Heads"

For his works, the artist used real human limbs, which he found in morgues. Therefore, it is not in vain that, after looking at the image, many claim that this is the most terrible picture in the world.

Conclusion

The painting, like a sponge, absorbs all the positive and negative emotions of the artist. The fear, anger, negativity experienced - all this is certainly reflected on the canvas. This happened in the case of all the paintings listed in our article. Looking at them, we understand what a difficult fate haunted each artist.

Below are the most terrible photos with a terrible story. Not for the faint of heart. 18+.

The Holocaust during World War II brought many truly horrific images. The photograph taken on April 17, 1945 shows the Bergen-Belsen camp. Prisoners of war died in thousands from hunger and hard physical work, and at that time the SS men had everything. The food never ran out.

The photograph shows diary pages written by a little 11-year-old girl, Tanya Savicheva. The recordings were made during the siege of Leningrad in 1941. Every month one of her relatives died. Tanya wrote down the name and date of death of a relative in her diary. Her mother was the last to die. Last entry in the diary: “The Savichevs have died.” "Everyone died." “There’s only Tanya left.” Unfortunately, Tanya Savicheva also did not survive and died from severe exhaustion and tuberculosis on July 1, 1944, not a year before the end of the war.

In this photograph, an experiment is being conducted on the girls regarding the influence of spatial disorientation on children. The photo was taken in a psychiatric hospital, which was famous for its terrible experiments on children and was located on the outskirts of London in 1957. Inspector John, entering one of the rooms, was petrified with horror. It turned out that the girls were attached to the wall using a special device.

Ed Gein was a serial killer. However, after the murder, he did not like to part with the body of the victim and tried to use it to the maximum. Either as food or in interior items. The photo shows a belt made from the human nipples of Gein's victims.

At the time of shooting, the photographer did not see the child behind the stairs; there were no children in the house at all. The photo was taken at the Amityville House in 1979. Perhaps this is someone’s joke and there is a real ordinary child behind the stairs, but the photo looks quite creepy, especially if you know that the boy’s silhouette vaguely resembles John Defeo, the youngest child in the family. Whose entire family was shot dead in this very house.

The journalist who saw this dog for the first time felt ill. The photo shows a donor dog with a puppy's head attached to it, without a heart or lungs. The head behaved actively, licked itself, and when it saw food, it looked around. Such operations were carried out by Vladimir Petrovich Demikhov, and his goal was to make it possible for a human heart to be transplanted. Today such operations are carried out everywhere. Currently, some surgeons are seriously planning to soon perform a human head transplant operation.

There are a huge number of photographs with human mutations. As a rule, such people can only perform in traveling circuses. The photo shows Myrtle Corbin on her wedding day at age 19. The two extra legs belonged to my unformed sister Myrtle. Myrtle lived until she was 60 years old and gave birth to five healthy children.

In the 19th century, child mortality was high and photographers were expensive. The photo shows a boy who is no longer alive. Such post-mortem photographs were taken as a keepsake; often this was the only photograph of the child.

The photo shows a fragment of the magical Akodessewa market located in Africa. This market sells thousands of body fragments from a wide variety of animals. Heads, Tails, limbs, skulls. In order to carry out black rituals, animals are literally skinned.

There are many suicides happening around the world, one of them was accidentally captured by a Chinese correspondent who came to the bridge to take photographs of the abnormal fog that had fallen over the city. As it turned out later, a guy and a girl jumped from this bridge. Their bodies were never found.

Dried Maori heads (the indigenous people of New Zealand) were traded. They were traded for firearms to gain an advantage over another tribal group. The Europeans, in turn, willingly bought Mokomokai (scalps of local residents) and paid generously for them. The photo shows the collection of Horace Gordon.

The photo shows a white mule. His head was just blown off by the photographer Charles Harper Bennett himself in 1881. The photo was taken as an experiment. At that time, photographs had exposure times, and Charles wanted to learn how to take instant photographs. As you can see from the photo, he succeeded. A moment ago the mule's head was torn off by dynamite.

This photo was taken near the shore of the Indian city of Varanasi. All Indians strive to get here, since according to legend, the ritual after death performed at this place grants liberation from the eternal circle of birth and death. Someone's corpse is floating in the river, and local residents are swimming and drinking water nearby.

A creature reminiscent of the Dementor from the Harry Potter universe was filmed in the Zambian city of Kitwe. A strange cloud hung over the shopping center for about an hour. Many eyewitnesses, seeing this cloud, fled in horror.
